what a waste. extremely dissapointed in this place. for being so excited to have a new restaurant opening in this area, liberty union will leave a sour taste in your mouth. aside from being completely overpriced for mediocre food, plan to wait 45min to an hour for a simple appetizer. understandable that this is a new business, but being open for almost 3 months now, there is no reason that they should still be "working out the bugs", especially when it comes to the menu. the food is inconsistent, and rarely cooked properly. on more than one occassion i was given dirty silverware, which is not only disgusting, but completely unnacceptable. the only positive thing i can add is that the bar is beautiful, with a great selection of beers, but that alone is not enough to make me ever want to eat here again. save your money, go somewhere else.

nice neighborhood bar & grill. we were there when it first opened and it has progressively gotten better. we love the sandwiches more than the pricey dinners. it's a fun place with a great bar and a good place to go with friends.

i attended liberty union on saturday night. after spending 12 years in the restaurant business i can tell you this was one of the best times that i have had in recent years. from the moment that i walked in the door the staff was helpful and courtesy. from sandy, karl to steve the management team was all over the place helping the hoststand, bar, and running food to the customers. as far as our service diane not only met but exceeded our every expectation. the food was extremely well flavored ad cooked to perfection! from the burgers to the mac everything was outstanding. for opening just a few months ago this reastaurant runs like a well oiled machine

suzs. have been to liberty union three times. beer is great but food is only so so. too much spice in the kid's chicken fingers, way too much dressing on my salad and the crabcake was just plain tasteless. i would love to see this place succeed as we need some new restaurants up here but you really need to work on the menu both in quality and price

the wife and i go as often as we can. it's our own personal "cheers!" the drinks are great and the food is innovative. they serve chicken tenders dipped in captain crunch cereal! it's quickly becoming the place to be in chester springs. lu has the atomosphere of west chester minus the fraternities.

overpriced. spent $25 and got two undersized crabcakes with filler. spent $18 for a mac n cheese with chicken. beers were great. party of 25 - couldn't divide our bill for us, spent 30+ minutes trying to sort it out. small parking lot. better options available for the money.

family friendly, great atmosphere. we tried liberty union for the first time last week and had a great experience. the atmosphere is very nice, ample room between the tables, bright fresh look, comfortable booth, clean, and not too noisy.
we went with our three kids and were promptly seated with crayons and coloring pages. our waiter was attentive and was quick to bring drinks/food to the kids while my husband and i relaxed with our microbrews deciding what we would order.our usually picky kids devoured their hamburgers and proclaimed them "awesome" and then proceeded to help themselves to our crabcakes, which are excellent. i had a build your own salad which i found to be fresh and full of toppings. the basalmic salad dressing was delicious.
we are looking forward to many more evenings there and can't wait for the outdoor dining to open.

great all around. we've eaten at liberty several times with family and friends. the wait staff has been fantastic and attentive. never had to wait for anything!

atmosphere is spectacular - very comfortable and inviting. we spent 3 hours just hanging out last friday night with friends after dinner.

the food has always been top notch. the build your own burger is great. my wife and i love the brioche roll with avacado and sauteed onions with swiss cheese. amazing! and the lobster bisque - wow!

my kids love the fried pickles and soft pretzles with butter for appetizer. mac and cheese is individually prepared and the best we've had.

exactly what this area needed - and so unlike the typical chains and pizza places all around. treat yourself to a great night out.

can't go wrong at liberty union!. my wife and i just checked out this new place we've been hearing so much buzz about. it's beautiful inside with high ceilings, lots of windows and great themed-decor. we were warmly greeted by smiling staff who said there was a wait and directed us to a spacious bar area. we tried the new old fashioned and a revolutionary lemon drop as recommended by the knowledgeable bar staff. loved them! for dinner, we were served by a friendly waitress who was well versed on the menu. i had the kansas city bone in pork chop and my wife had the new orleans chicken pasta. they were to die for. both entrees were served as described and on-time. wanted to try a dessert, but too stuffed. definitely next time.

good experience. just had a great meal. i chose the heartland burger which was medium well the way i like it . the tumbleweed onions were a great topper along with the mushrooms. my wife ordered the grilled reuben also very good. our service was on spot. the decor is tastefully done americana.

wont go back. me and my 2 friends met there last night for our monthly business meeting. let it be known we usually go to carmines pizza a block away. we decided to go here. will not be going back. 1st off our waitress was only 18 which is fine if its a pizza place...but a bar atmosphere no. she couldnt tell us anything about the drinks. we ordered fried pickles....soggy! my one friend ordered the "build your own salad" with a crab cake. the other 2 of us ordered "build your own burger". medium well. our food came.... no crab cake on the salad and both of our burgers were raw inside....not red...raw. so we sent it all back. 1/2 hour later it finally came out. our waitress told us the manager would be out to talk to us. never happened. gave us a 20% discount...which was ok... but it would have been nice to have the manager come out and apologize. the poor waitress was so upset. back to carmines we go....which by the way is great!

visited liberty union for the first time last night.....entrees too pricey. had the chicken pot pie. nice pieces of chicken & vegetables, but the strong taste of the shallots was all that you could taste! had the tator tots at $8.50...over priced. way too much salt taste and too few tots. coleslaw was spicy, it did not say that on the menu. service was ok. would not recommend this restaurant at this time.

ok,but.... first, it should be noted that this is a brand new place and the bugs still need to be worked out. the bar is fabulous - with good bartenders and a great atmosphere for casual. the food, however, needs the most attention. not just pricey, but also not very good. the onion soup was served in a bread bowl - not a good idea if you are expecting any broth with your soup. just a poor idea. the mac&cheese was average. steak average. it took 2-1/2 hours to get our meal (party of 4).

stick to drinks. i've had two meals at his place and both were disappointing.
fried pickles- best thing i've had but the pickles get soggy unlike other places i've had them
burgers- overcooked and dry. i had the liberty burger with bacon, am cheese and a fired egg. i order it medium but the burger was well and the egg was overcooked. wife orderd a bacon cheese but just got an overcooked cheese burger.
fires- cold, soggy and overly salty
mac & cheese- watery, bland and tasted like velveeta was used
chicken fried steak- steak was small, too thick and the sage & sausage gravy was bland and lacked sage or sausage.
value- this place is way overpriced. there are much better places that are a better value in the area.
overall- as close as i am to this place i won't be going back anytime soon.

are you kidding me? $14 dollars for mac & cheese and $22 to add lobster. i didn't pay attention until i got the bill.
i asked my son if it'sbetter than mac & cheese at wawa, he didn't think so. just anothwhher high price place. why can't we have any diner, dives place from guy's show.
