libarrel : meaning open to new ideas, the name perfectly goes with the newly opened resto bar in mylapore. it's a 3 floor building with a sports themed restaurant, a proper resto bar and arooftoplounge as well. this place has my heart.
we had a wide range of starters were each and every dish is to be specially mentioned for it's consistency, flavour, taste and it's presentation.

"paella arancinni"
they are spanish starters that are rice balls stuffed with minced vegetables and are fried until crisp and golden on the outside. it was cooked to perfection and presented in such a way that made me drool for it.

"dukkah ke paneer"
it was just amazinggg to every bite i had with it's tangy and juicy flavour. the paneer was also well cooked and very very tender and soft.

"land pulled pork melts"
it was one of the best pork dishes i've had. the pork is so juicy and you can taste it's essence in your tongue when you take every bite of this delicious treat. if you're a pork lover, this is a dish that you cannot miss!

"arabic mezze platter"
all that i can say is it's one of my favorites from this place. i haven't tried much of mezze platter but the moment i had it here, i wanted to explore a lot of it.

"mushroom krathramphir"
i ain't a person who liked mushroom that much but this place proved me wrong and made me indulge in love with it.

"cheese tikka"
all that you have to know is it's highly cheeeesyyyy and highly recommended one from my side.

the chickenfry, beef fry, era molagu was cooked so well and presented in such a way that you have no comments over it other than filling it in your tummy and drooling over it all over again.

coming to their main course, i loved their pizzassssss. it was so crisp and handcrafted so well and rightly served hot and made me crave for it badlyyyy. the chicken bryani was just my bae. and the chilli chicken was yum yum and that's it. the noodles, fried rice and cauliflower hot garlic were made in such a way that i was too full and didn't have the space to have any desserts.

coming to my favorite part of all, the cocktails.
damnnnnn, one of the best! it's definitely going to be my regular go to place for it.
"old hat" i would definitely without a second thought will claim it as my favorite cocktails i've ever had.
"pina colada" having tried it in quite a few places, i didn't find it any special but loved it.
"expresso martini" i never knew a coffee based cocktail would taste this good. when they suggested me for it, trsut me i expected it to be bitter and not my type. but i was wrong, it was just mind blowing.
also "wake up and "punk" were extremely great and all that i had was great food with great cocktails. my only regret was that i couldn't try their desserts as my tummy didn't have a space for it. will definitely make it soon there to try them too.
be it the service, presentation, food, cocktails,worth for the money , it was top notch and i would personally recommend the cocktail lovers to try them. you'll never be dissapointed and it's a fact.

libarrel - three-floored restobar that has recently opened up in the bylanes of mylapore in chennai. we went to the lounge #pub on the second floor which had a whole wood and barrel theme going on. they also have a csk-themed sports diner on the first floor and arooftoprestaurant on the third. .
great food options - for starters we had the paella arancini and the mezze platter while for main course we had the paneer tikka masala pizza. we loved both the appetizers with the pita bread being the favorite of the majority. presentation of the dishes was nicely done as well. flavors were spot on and so was the service!.

since it’s fairly new, there wasn’t too much crowd but guessing this place is bound to pick up in the coming months!

came for a short vacation and was looking for best place to hang out with friends get together.
though chennai wont surprises for best and innovative themed night life places.

my friend suggested to go for it.

libarrel - name all it means..

location : mylapore - when saying night life and hearing people say its in mylapore where even night glows as daylight.
felt crazy though..

but once we go there got ample plans for parkings and easy access at main.

ambience : been to many clubs and resto bars but was impressed with their interiors.
extra ordinary work of art and paintings.

they have bothrooftopand enclosed so relax as you wish.

you can think about a saying
dont judge the book by its cover.

crowd : yes well decent crowd and suggested for couples too.

drinks : heard mr.sasi look alike kholi the operation head has a strong base from hi reputed clubs in dubai and he has some innovative menus in hand.
extra plusssssssss for this place and must for a competitive business in the market.

service : from bouncers - bar waiters - bartenders - managers all did there best and courteous.
knowledge and assisted us for max..

price : value for money

music : good one but suggestion they must have different nights for different genre.

overall i had a good evening and for sure will suggest my friends.

i've been coming to this place for years now. theirrooftopis excellent, especially during the quiter hours. good place to watch cricket matches on big screen. service is good, but often slow. i'd recommend the mojitos, peri peri fries and the pizzas.

nice place to chill with hookah and beer. therooftopis a big plus. place located in not so happening area but worth a visit

must visit! excellent service and top notch food. therooftopambience is unmatched, it's one of my favourite places to go to. the waiters and bartenders are super efficient and make good quality drinks and recommend new things to try. both food and drinks are reasonably priced and are top quality! would recommend everyone to check this place out.

excellent service by staff. atmosphere is great. interiors are designed well.
there is a family restaurant on the first floor(sports themed)
second floor is a pub always with sounds of music (barrel themed) androoftopis an open space but has a glass on top so if it is a full moon night you can drink in moonlight.
we love the way of service by mr surjit and also friendly managers.
“fun under one roof”

libarrel resto lounge - the next time you want to either go dancing at a pub with good music or spend time with bae over a quiet dinner, head to libarrel in mylapore. the restobar has three floors and is great for both loud, boozy nights and intimate, quiet dinners. the first floor has sports-themed wall art, and we love the csk booth because #yellowforever. the second floor has a barrel-themed pub - brown counters, and booths with dim lighting. the last floor has arooftoprestaurant with good views.

the first floor has a sports themed restaurant and a perfect place for family, kids would definitely love the place as it is very colourful and spacious to play for them.

the second floor has a barrel-themed pub which is really awesome and the place is filled with some soft music and dim ligthing. loved the concept of barrel and the place looks like ship house. a spot for some private time with friends and loved ones.

last but not the least the roof top is a hang out space for friends to have a drink and just chill.

the place looks great and the food they serve are really very yummy. they serve flavours of north india, continental and italian.

let me discuss on few dishes that i have tasted.
1. chilli poppers, green chilli marinated with some spices and stuffed with aloo and served with tomato chutney. loved the dish presentation, the dish was present in a small miniature wheel typed vehicle and it was a treat to eyes.
2. chicken yakitori, skewers of yakitori served with cut wakame and miso shot. a typical japanese style dish and it was tasting really good.
3. chicken sheesh tawook, bbq marinated chicken thighs served with french friends and garlicky mayo.
4. tandoori chicken twist, classic afghani style chicken tandoori which is chilli marinated and served with green chutney.
5. mocktail - orange juice, raspberry pure with lemon soda.

we also tasted few of their cocktails and the rates were all very reasonable.

the staffs were very friendly and service time can be fastened as all the dishes were served on the same time instead they can serve the dishes one by one.

over all i am so happy that i get to eat the above dishes and i would recommend all to try it out.

one of the best place to hang out with friends and families. their best part is their 3 floors, casual dining restaurant on the first floor, the bar and dj on their second floor, amazing openrooftopon their third floor.

have tried many places for food, i could hands down and say their food is one of the best i had so far. their curated combos are worth the pricing. the quality and their quantity will make sure to feel wow!! summa solalanga, ask for their tandoori combo and see. this is what i tried.

3 different kebabs, bowl of pulav, black dhal, naan, ice cream and idhula vera 1 alcoholic/non alcoholic drink. trust me the pricing is 299/-. yes, you read it correct.

kebabs portioning is huge and succulent, perfect spice level and cooked well.

pulav, generous amount of rice with their spices. a decent one.

black dhal, i am sure a good experienced north indian chef prepared that. no comments, actual taste and texture of dhal how it is suppose to be.

naan gulabo, regular indian bread with chopped garlic and toasted well. suda suda kelunga vera level.

mocktail, a bar man named joshua came himself and told will make barman special for me. i dont know the name but the drink is perfectly blended with litchi and vanilla i guess.

overall had a great dining experience. thanks guys. special mention to mr.sashi to have a wonderful and happening place. could see happy faces around us. will be back soon with my family but 1st floor la than sapada mudiyum. mom mom!

loved the ambience! they have in the first floor a sports themed restaurant , where different live bands perform and the second floor is oak barrel themed resto bar where they play music with different dj’s and lastly the third floor is open airrooftopwith air condition 😍😍

chennai’s newest three-storeyed restobar,located at r.k salai . serving fabulous cocktails and lip-smacking food with a great ambiance
this resto-bar is a three floor with three different themes. the first floor has a dine in area and sports theme, second floor is a pub with leg shaking music and arooftoppreferred for candle light dinner.
they also have live streaming during ipl matches with good offers.
our orders:
arabic mezze platter(175): this dish was too good. it was served with pita bread and 3 types of dips and black olives. we just loved it
era molagu (285): this dish was the highlight of all. tiger prawns blended with pepper masala,taste was so good. it was crunchy and tasted good. the quantity is nominal
sheek bunnychow (315) this was good . the sheek masala is the best part. perfectly minced meat with perfect blend of spices served with munt mayo dip
masala lollypops (165) this dish would be a delight for vegies. potato mixtures made as lollypop tasted good
paella arranccinni (215) cheese balls like one and tasted so good . a perfect dish to have as a starter. the cheese actually melts while biting. a perfect treat for veggie fans
paneer tikka masala pizza(249) this pizza was good especially the paneer masala

overall a recommended place to be tried . hope they can improve the quantity of the dishes and keep the taste of the dishes throughout their journey.

libarrel is a quirky addition to chennai's nightlife scene.
it consists of three floors comprising three different themes.

first floor : sports themed restaurant & lounge (family friendly)
second floor : barrel themed lounge with dj music
third floor :rooftopbar with a pleasant ambience.

i have been there twice - once to therooftop& the other to the lounge on 2nd floor.

ambience :

second floor : great ambience with illustrious interiors in the second floor. barrel themed bar with live screening. if it's a match day, this place is lit with crowds coming in to cheer their teams.
if not, the dj is always spinning some good tracks.

rooftop : serene ambience with minimal design. live screening for patrons of cricket is a crowd puller. even otherwise, they have movie days, wherein they play some classic movies. perfect place to chill out with friends or visit with your better half. there is something in store for everyone.

food - menu is a range of fusion dishes serving various cuisines including continental, oriental, indian, mexican, lebanese etc. the presentation of food is excellent, however there are not many options for vegetarians.

the food is moderately priced & most dishes taste great. their presentation definitely deserves extra credit. there are very few lounges in chennai which serve good food along with liquor & libarrel has nailed this gap. we tried the following dishes:

arabic mezze platter - consisted of guacamole, hummus & sour cream along with pita bread. expected guacamole to be tastire, but otherwise it was good.

three bean enchilladas - amazing mexican entree served in a generous portion along with sour cream. a must order for vegetarians.

paneer makhani pizza - perfectly indian tasting flat pizza. if you like a pizza with a tandoori twist, this is a great option.

drinks - we mostly had beers & few shots. our server was quick & on our beck & call. the bar comprised of a huge selection of liquor. now with zomato gold, members can enjoy 2+2 on drinks which makes it even more worthwhile.
during ipl, they are serving most domestic liquors & snacks for 129 & 159 each which is a steal.

i rate them 5/5 for the overall experience. i had a great time on both visits & would definitely recommend this place.

it's a new place opposite to grill box, mylapore.rooftopand also indoor seatings are available with live screening. food is good except the prawn momos. the worst thing is the service. we waited even for water around 15 mins. everything was delayed. worst service i have ever seen in any place around chennai. hope they must improve it next time.

😋😋 three floors and three different themes - define this restro bar. first floor is sports themed restaurant. (kids allowed). second floor is barrel themed bar with dj music. third floor isrooftopbar.

we went as a family and took our seats on the first floor in the sports themed restaurant.

location - this is located in street opposite to yellow pages in rk salai, mylapore.

parking - parking is available in front of the restro bar and also valet parking is available.

ambience - awesome indoor ambience in first and second floor. in first floor the walls are adorned with sportspersons animations and there's a special corner for csk images.
the second floor ambience is perfectly dim to give u the pub experience.
third floor is the best of all. with itsrooftopview and enticing water fountains, its the perfect place to have ur drinks and food.

food - their menu is full of fusion dishes. and the chef mahendran was very enthusiastic in explaining the dishes.

- to everyone's surprise,, they got the best combo offers in that area. each day they give one combo. and on wednesday we tried the tandoori combo. the tandoori combo includes three types of kebabs, one small bowl of pulav, one black daal curry, naan , dessert, and a mocktail / beer. all for just 299rs. killer deal 😊👌

other items we tried are paella arancini - spanish dish filled with veggies and rice. very yummy.
their syrian beef fry is one of the best in chennai. well cooked tender beef.👌👌
era molagu - prawns dish covered with curry leaves and pepper. didn't turn out to the best here.
mummified prawn - not a favourite of mine. prawns inside bandages and deep fried. tasted like pakoda with prawn inside. but the prawn tasted damp without flavour.
arabic mezze platter - the vegetarian appetizer with three different dips - tasted so good.
karvari chicken fry - tasted so soft and fried like kfc chicken. another must try dish here.
each dish was presented very beautifully

in main course - they have mutton briyani and chicken briyani in bamboo style.. the briyani is hyderabadi styled and tasted well on mixing well.. if you love hyderabadi dum briyani, you should definitely try this.

desserts - we ordered coconut souffle - comes as a combo with coconut payasam and coconut cookie. presented and tasted well
death by chocolate is the dark and thick chocolate brownie with ice cream.
gulabo is a fusion dish with baked gulab jamun
finally tiramisu served with black coffee - delicious.

drinks - their mocktails and drinks were equally good too.

service - was good and quick. since its a restro bar, the waiters were always available near us to attend.

pricing - it's very reasonable and cheaper for a restro bar

rating them 5/5 for their awesome combos and beautiful presentation.
