we were headed back to kochi with stomachs growling from a long drive and i was busy researching for lunch options. i would call it serendipity that i chanced upon le méridien.
the sunday buffetspreadwas exquisite. there was a wide variety of options from salads, continental, indian and asian cuisine. i happened to be greeted by a cheerful chef at the pasta live counter who made a ravishing tomato base pasta, with just the right amount of condiments and herbs as i had requested.
the salads had a healthy mix of veggies, meat and sauces. a special mention to the fattoush, tahini sauce and a variety of hummus that did absolute justice to lebanese cuisine.
the dessert section was equally well selected with the baked yogurt and a live counter for rolled ice creams strumming a chord with my taste buds.
in a nutshell, i would recommend this buffet lunch to anyone who wishes to spend a remembrable sunday afternoon.
