if you look at lavie from the outside, you will really think its just another liquor or wine store but if you'll get inside, especially at night, this place is gorgeous! this was my second visit, the first time was sometime in 2017 but that was daytime so i wasnt really astounded during my first visit. my 2nd visit was last night and i was stunned!lavie is so gorgeous at night, it is a total instagram-worthy. the ambience inside is so relaxing that all you want to do is stay on the couch while sipping your wine or coffee. you can choose alfresco and indoor, they have a wine cellar and a wide selections of wines and draft beers, they also have some french pastries such as french macarons, croissant, breads and et al. a bit pricey but reasonable to its taste and presentation. we only ordered coffee and pastries, cannele, waffle and croissant so i cant say much about their food, so far though, i love their croissant, it was fresh, buttery, a bit salty which makes it more palatable! their waffle was chewy, it was good! the cannele, you can taste the rum and vanilla in it and i love the caramelized coating or crust, it was delicious! if you want to de stress from the long day at work then this place is right for you. it is a nice place to unwind, chill and relax. their staff were not friendly but their french chef was friendly.

what really drew us tolavie was the ambiance. it was cozy, chill and elegant. but as for the food, we had pasta and wine. although the wine was good, i couldn’t say the same for the pasta. it was, at best, mediocre. i expected more for a european themed resto. what really delighted me was the pastries. they’re a must taste! :’d
oh and we also had the gelato. there so many flavors you can choose from and some are uncommon flavors.

all in all, lavie is an ig worthy place and pastries are to die for.

i used to love this place actually. back when it was simple and quaint. it is understandable that one is looking to expand the business, however in doing so, they've overdone it a bit and lost their charm and the "exclusivity" feel. my family and friends rarely go here anymore which is sad.

ambience:: 4/5 true enough, it is a sight to see and a photo op material for location. place is well-lit outside. the restaurant (la maison rose), is on the 1st floor of the pink house. tables are limited, so it will do you good to call in advance and reserve. there is an area which you could hold a small gathering (but limited to 10-12 only - private parties). the second floor is utilized for alliance française de cebu. there's a patisserie/delicatessen on the right side with an ice cream/gelatto area and a pizza & pasta further inside. not sure what else they've added. the one thing they should really work on is parking.

food:: 3/5 the only thing i love in their delicatessen/patisserie is the croissant. it's the real deal french butter croissant! that being said, the restaurant's food is not bad. not that great either. the pizza and pasta was a meh. wine is definitely cheap for those who just came out to get a buzz or "socialize" but for wine connoisseurs, they also have their list of wines to choose from.

service & staff:: 3/5lamaison's menu is digitalized (you get to order in an ipad! haha) everything else, you have to line up and place your order. line in the delicatessen can be challenging during weekends. wait staff outside do try their best to cater to everybody. but i think it would be better to increase the staff at night since the area they cover is also quite large. you end up bringing your stuff to your table becuase it might take 48 yrs before things arrive. so patience is a needed virtue sometimes here.

value for money:: 3/5 given that there are different things to consider, i.e. restaurant, delicatessen, pizza & pasta, gelatto; price varies. restaurant is decently priced. as i have mentioned above, you can buy a 2-3$ bubbly/wine but don't expect much. same goes for the rest of the areas. nice but don't expect much. the croissants are worth their price though!

this place can get a bit crowded and parking can become difficult. it is sure one of the better looking and instagram-able places in the city because of their pretty lights and attractive canopies. the food and drinks tasted okay, and are reasonably priced.  the restroom needs more maintenance.

also, lavie is very accessible (and affordable) to many, that's why i think a lot of people continue to patronize this place. if you are into "exclusivity", this place isn't for you. consider it one of the overrated places in zomato. nevertheless, this is a good spot to unwind and hang-out.

great ambience and great selection of bread, dessert, ice cream and even food. this resto also have options to sit inside, outside or at the 2nd floor. tried several dishes here like the vegetariana andlavie pizza. both tastes great like an oven-brick pizza but the crust is not too crunchy. the pork roast and caramelized pork belly are okay, nothing fancy... although the salmon carbonara and the beechwood smoked ham carbonara tastes the same, the pasta itself is cooked very well (al dente) and stays saucy even after several minutes. i like it.

on drinks-the ube beer and the wheat beer are good. the moscato white wine is also good.

alot of people even on a weeknight. im just curious though why this french-inspired restaurant is more famous for its pizza and pasta.

the bolognese and pesto pasta we ordered were good. ambiance is great. service, however, was terrible.

we had to follow up for ourlavie pizza more than 6 times. around 30 minutes after our pasta were served, they told us to wait 7 more minutes for the pizza. more than 7 minutes passed and we were told to wait 10 more minutes. still waiting as of writing. come on, man.

the trees with pink lights and the furniture make this place a lovely hang-out spot for some wine and cheese, and perhaps some chocolate truffles too, however this place seems too crowded every time i visit and the quality of the french macarons are not as good as they were whenlavie parisienne just opened. the breads are a little too expensive for their sizes, though not significantly better-tasting than the ones found in other french bakeries in cebu. this is still a good place to drop by if you are looking for good yet inexpensive wine.

la vie: wines upon a time in cebu city. a french style go-see place which offers french baked breads, cakes, chocolates, pizza, beer and famous wines.

ambience: classy and cosy. instagram-worthy place from inside and outside. this has a winery library, an elegant dining place inside and vibrant stylish place outside.
drink: for the red wine i tried sauvignon wine. it was really good, a little strong and has a bold taste. partnered this with chocolate and cheese which made me drink more. i also loved their buddha beer, lighter taste than corona beer.
food: i did not try their food except for their cheese and chocolates which were really good.
price: food and drinks are actually pricey, but we got to find cheap wine for 400 pesos. look for sauvignon wine.
service:lavie barmen and servers were not accommodating, they just take your order and do not offer something to make your experience worth visiting. they were not smiling. what happened to us was more on self-service.

if you are travelling with friends, significant other, or with your family, do not misslavie parisienne on your list.

this french restaurant may just look a simple cafe on the outside but on the inside it houses a very lit garden where one can dine. it is a bakery, french restaurant and wine house in one!

it has every thing you need from salad to pasta, to main dishes, side dishes, cold cuts, soup, pizza, and dessert among others. price ranges from p80 to p1,200 but some meals are good for sharing.

butlavie parisienne also sells gelato or ice cream.

la vie parisienne owned by michel lhuiller, is best known for its wine so that's what we ordered when we visited the place. a bottle is priced less p290 and there's an extensive list of wine selection.

while you cap off the night with wine, you can also enjoy the view as even its indoor had pretty interiors.

the outdoors, on the other hand, is free seating with lit seats, tent-seats, sculpted plants and other displays.

overall, it has a chill ambiance and is also romantic.

there's also alavie parisienne in makati but this is still a must visit resto.

been tolavie for quite sometime when they first started. ambience is improved and nice now but no maintenance, there’s a large group of ants or maybe a colony already on their bean bags chair. since there are low lighting on that area , there’s big chances you will not see and just sit down directly.

la vie parisienne in lahug, i was upset yesterday brought my fiancé to have wine and food in that place, spend almost 3,000php and ask for 2 voucher for free 30 mins wifi, we ask again for another 2 more voucher code as the first code is expires after 30mins. after an hour, we order a food and i ask the staff if we code get another wifi voucher, she said to me for every 300 purchase we are only entitled for 1 voucher which is 30 mins use. i was dismayed after spending 3,000 php to that place you ended up not enough to use their wifi as they put limits, that is absolutely not great at all, we are big spender and my fiancé is obviously a foriegner, and it’s obviously he doesn’t have a wifi, and we won’t ask a code if we don’t need it. for the management oflavie, i will stop recommending friends and not come back at your place as these brings unhappy for us what was encountered while experiencing a not really wow service.

being the most picturesque wine & deli restaurant in cebu, lavie parisienne, which simply means parisian life, is a go-to place for both locals and tourists for their extensive array of wines, delightful bread and patisserie, and cheese variants. just a month ago, they’ve introduced something new to the public. brought directly from italy by gelato master, chef manuel minelli, they have launched theirlavie french artisan gelato.
