martini's. we dropped by to have a few martini's after work on the patio

i was shocked by the so called 2 ounce martinis, i've never seen such small a martini

be careful when ordering drinks

the waiter who was serving us had a couldn't care less attitude and very cool

i hope they are successful and can afford this sort of product andservicebecause i'll sure not be back. there are so many other restaurants in the area

not good at all. we rarely go out and the reviews on urban spoon were good but boy were they wrong.servicewas spotty to be kind. we had to ask for bread which was stale; practially no butter; a tablespoon at a time. bruschetta was serve on cold wet bread like some one had forgot how to make it. the lasagna was a cheese lasagna with a meat sauce no salad or greens and thankfully i and another memeber of our party only ordered half portions. the veal canelloni was ok but nothing to exact the 16.00 dollar price it cost. two small canellonis in the same meat sauce that came with the lasagna. the chicken was tasty but tough. the desert menu we had to ask for twice .the waitress just forgot us again.one item was no longer available the alaska ice cream covered by a crepe in chocolat sauce was good and so was the ameretto ice cream; we had to ask for coffe three times re only served us half cups each time and the cups are small,no sweetener was at the table and the cream came in a very small cute litte mug not enough for two people let alone more ;no relfill were offered we had to ask. at one time we were told that they were making more coffee, twenty minutes later we asked again as we wanted to maibe pay up and leave.as for one of the waitressspilling parmesan on me she seemed anoyed and very tired or the fact we were never offered pepper or actually made to feal welcomed or even cared about.no italian should be proud of this place. i would not recommend this restaurant

buisness presentation. our company had a presentation at this restaurant last night and we all left thoroughly impressed. a very professional atmosphere, complete with modern private rooms with in-ceiling projection screen and integrated wireless microphone system.

theservicewas prompt and courteous. food presentation and taste screamed with attention to detail. i cannot say enough about how smoothly this evening went. i highly recommend you see for yourself.

definitely the shining jewel of preston street.

we will be back many more times.

five stars. warm and inviteing. dine in unparalleled elegance at laroma. a must for anyone seeking the perfect evening with friends, family, or that special someone. make it a night to remember with laroma and you wont be disappointed.

good food, but way too much.. this place is a typical italian restaurant, it reminds me of some kind of bad movie mob front restaurant. the menu is large and has variety. the wine menu is also large and great variety.

the food is good, however nothing original or anything you haven't seen a million times before. theserviceis great, but the prices are way too high.

amazing authentic and fresh italian food.serviceis excellent and the owner is a gem. she thought we waited too long for our food so offered a round of dessert alcohol. but we didn't think the wait was long at all. everything about this experience is top notch. price matches the excellent quality and you can't order anything bad on this menu.

you only get one chance to make a first impression. took my wife there for her birthday. ambiance great, salad great, pasta dish dry and missing ingredients, creme brûlée tasty but pasty, wine excellent,serviceexcellent. but, since restaurants are about food i'll take my $200 elsewhere in the future.

nice dinner out!. my husband and i had an expected friday night (jan 10, 2014) away from our kids, which happens so rarely. we decided to head over to la roma.

food andservicewas awesome. we started with the calamari, which was melt in your mouth, tender, not rubbery at all. i had the tagliatelle alla pavarotti, which was delicious. seafood tasted fresh, not too salty, and was cooked perfectly. my husband had the salmon, and was over the moon. it was cooked just right. he is often disappointed because a lot of places over cook salmon. well, not here.

we finished off with the chocolate torte, which was death by chocolate. so good! chocolate was rich and deep, the way it should be.

i also enjoyed the waiter who insisted i add more and more parmesan to my meal, loved that! a lot of places are skimpy with the cheese. also, thank you very much to the waitress who noticed that i forgot my left overs, and chased me out the door to get them to me. i was very happy to eat the rest for lunch today.

thanks for making our first child-free night in a very long time so very memorable. we plan to come back.

what a disappointment! a special dinner with family was marred by poor, clumsyserviceand the food was very expensive and absolutely sub-par. opening app of zucchini was passable but without a hint of seasoning, caesar salad ($11!) was soggy & wilted, and the pasta dishes were very lightly sauced, gummy and one dish of pene primavera had to be sent back! with drinks and tip almost $145. totally unacceptable for a venerable establishment once known for authentic, well prepared meals! i won't be returning. luckily the company was better than the food experience. mama teresa's was the other option that night ... should have gone there ...

never return for second time. definitely the one i will never return for a second time. first, their mussel smelled like rotted meat even if they covered a whole lot of tomato sauce. on top of that it took them 45mins to make us a uncooked spaghetti, with the server telling us it's mean to be like this. the pasta is not tasty at all that we could barely finish. and theserviceis very disappointing, i had my server spilled the cheese of over my pants without a single apology. i felt like this was the worst decision i've ever made, and a taste of my time and money.

awful food plus awfulservicewhich gave me awful night, wish i never been there

bad birthday. came here the other night for my sister's birthday. not only was the food awful, theservicesomehow managed to be worse; very unfriendly and uncompromising. on top of that, here was a $3servicecharge per person on the cake cutting, which is annoying but not a big deal. after asking the waiter to put everyone's charge on my bill, i found out he charged me for everyone and charged everyone else the $3. so we ended up paying the cake cutting fee twice. if that wasn't bad enough, he also charged me an extra $110 forserviceof a large party. never coming back here again.

delicious. what a fantastic dining experience. our group of 8 women chose to try this restaurant saturday night. theservicewas great and the food was so delicious. i had the smelts and the gnocchi. my niece and i could not decide on which ones to choose so we shared the 4 cheese and the sage butter gnocchi. well they were both divine. you eat slowly because you don’t want it to end. we all had a little taste from people’s plates around the table and everything was wonderful. even the coffee was good. thanks again.

subpar. theservicewas average. i ordered the veal with shrimp inside and it tasted awful. i tried the pasta which was decent, so just avoid the veal.
it was a bit overpriced. there are definitely better restaurants out there for me to spend my money on

i have gone to this restaurant for years and it used to be fantastic. not so any more ! my husband and i had terribleserviceand dismal food and the pleasure to pay $90 for it. the waitress completely ignored us, we had to get up a couple of times and look for her. she forgot to make sure that there were condiments on the table. the food was low quality and the 1/2 litre of mediocre wine $30. the desert arived 15 minutes after the coffee. she never even apologized. this one is off my list.

highly recommended. i live about a block up from preston st. so i've had the opportunity to try most restaurants in the area. i would by far say this one is my favorite. i've been there about 5 or 6 times now, had different meals every time, and have never been disappointed. i was in wednesday night with my girlfriend. i had the salsicce rosolate and she had the pollo marsala. she raved and raved about her meal and i can't say enough how great mine was. a little on the spicy side if you're not a fan of spicy food, i, however, love it! drinks are reasonably priced and for the quality so is the food. total, with a pint of creemore and a half litre of wine plus tip came to just under $100. atmosphere is beautiful, and my girlfriend was also really impressed with the fancy perfume left in the lady's washroom.servicewas impeccable as always. from what i could see they had a full house at the time and our server didn't miss a beat. as well, i'd like to point out that while the server was on his game, he gave us our privacy, which is rare i find in restaurants like this. i particularly liked how we were offered "the mobster" table right in the corner. if you bring a date definitely request this table. very romantic. i would recommend this restaurant to anyone! can't wait to eat there again! enjoy!!
