my fave place!. i go to la roma every chance i get and suggest it to all my friends and family. from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you are so well taken care of. the food is always great, (zucchini and lasagna are a must). the last time i was there, it took a little longer than usual, but everyrestauranthas one off night right? and the food was still so worth the wait!

buisness presentation. our company had a presentation at thisrestaurantlast night and we all left thoroughly impressed. a very professional atmosphere, complete with modern private rooms with in-ceiling projection screen and integrated wireless microphone system.

the service was prompt and courteous. food presentation and taste screamed with attention to detail. i cannot say enough about how smoothly this evening went. i highly recommend you see for yourself.

definitely the shining jewel of preston street.

we will be back many more times.

five stars. warm and inviteing. dine in unparalleled elegance at laroma. a must for anyone seeking the perfect evening with friends, family, or that special someone. make it a night to remember with laroma and you wont be disappointed.

just right!. la roma is one of our favorite places.

we have been there numerous times, and the experience has always been great. therestaurantgives off a nice sophisticated atmosphere, and manages to do so without feeling pretentious or condescending.

the prices are fair, and the food has always been spot on. the servings are not too big, nor too small. you will leave feeling satisfied (not hungry or full beyond belief). when ordering drinks, you will get all the alcohol you paid for. a meal for two, with 2 drinks, and dessert came out under $100 (generous tip included).

the waiters are great. they do a great job of being attentive to your needs whilst preserving your privacy. we have never had an issue with any meals, however, saying the issues would be dealt with professionally and respectfully seems like a safe presumption.

all in all, la roma is a greatrestaurantwhen looking for a place that will allow you to dress up and feel good without leaving you feeling like royalty or trash.

great restaurant! will visit again, and encourage anyone looking for a nice place to have dinner [at a reasonable price] to do so as well.

i adore the leek and potato soup! the gnocchi are so yummy!!!!!!! they are perfect... just perfect!!! the lasagna is okay, but i would not order it again...unless it is for my lunch the next day! word to the wise; the portions are large and very filling; so be careful how much you order.
the bread is wonderful, too. the creme brûlée was okay, but again i would not order it again.
but, the nicest part was afterward when i went to my car but the battery shut down... so on a cold night we went back to therestaurantand told them. one of the chefs offered to jump start it... just so kind! i am definitely going back!

jamais plus- beaucoup trop cher pour la qualité et la variété offerte. la fraicheur laisse à désirée et camouflée par l'ail sur-utilisée... l'atmosphère est médiocre et en fait il y a beaucoup de resto italien à proximité offrant une bien meilleure expérience gastronomique. à éviter malheureusement- leurrestaurantla trattoria est de loin supérieur.

consistently satisfied. la roma is the one of the few restaurants that i love to return to for the food and the staff. i am obsessed with their salmon and any veal dish. everything is so fresh and homemade that you can't go wrong. it is like its my aunt cooking in the kitchen with a cool, relaxed atmosphere. this picture was when i had the special which featured their homemade wild boar sausage with wild mushroom risotto. i am still thinking about it. i loved it since i was comfortable with the risotto but eager to try something new with the wild boar. best italianrestaurantby far!

what a terrible experience!. walked in thisrestaurantfor dinner with friends. spent a long time waiting for our food which were just pastes( in my point of view, paste is one of the easiest food to cook) and i have to say the food is really not worth for the price. i'd rather go to kfc instead of. i am very disappointing and not recommend thisrestaurant:-((((

delicious. what a fantastic dining experience. our group of 8 women chose to try thisrestaurantsaturday night. the service was great and the food was so delicious. i had the smelts and the gnocchi. my niece and i could not decide on which ones to choose so we shared the 4 cheese and the sage butter gnocchi. well they were both divine. you eat slowly because you don’t want it to end. we all had a little taste from people’s plates around the table and everything was wonderful. even the coffee was good. thanks again.

i have gone to thisrestaurantfor years and it used to be fantastic. not so any more ! my husband and i had terrible service and dismal food and the pleasure to pay $90 for it. the waitress completely ignored us, we had to get up a couple of times and look for her. she forgot to make sure that there were condiments on the table. the food was low quality and the 1/2 litre of mediocre wine $30. the desert arived 15 minutes after the coffee. she never even apologized. this one is off my list.

highly recommended. i live about a block up from preston st. so i've had the opportunity to try most restaurants in the area. i would by far say this one is my favorite. i've been there about 5 or 6 times now, had different meals every time, and have never been disappointed. i was in wednesday night with my girlfriend. i had the salsicce rosolate and she had the pollo marsala. she raved and raved about her meal and i can't say enough how great mine was. a little on the spicy side if you're not a fan of spicy food, i, however, love it! drinks are reasonably priced and for the quality so is the food. total, with a pint of creemore and a half litre of wine plus tip came to just under $100. atmosphere is beautiful, and my girlfriend was also really impressed with the fancy perfume left in the lady's washroom. service was impeccable as always. from what i could see they had a full house at the time and our server didn't miss a beat. as well, i'd like to point out that while the server was on his game, he gave us our privacy, which is rare i find in restaurants like this. i particularly liked how we were offered "the mobster" table right in the corner. if you bring a date definitely request this table. very romantic. i would recommend thisrestaurantto anyone! can't wait to eat there again! enjoy!!

terrible food, overpriced, mediocre service. the prices may have been easier to swallow if the food had been halfway to decent. it was not. my entire party of 15+ had uneaten appetizers and entrees. none of us are picky eaters in the least so the fact that so many plates were left almost untouched should be highly embarrassing for the restaurant. wait staff was not very attentive, not very polite. our party was required to order off a choice of four menu selections and when a guest requested a simple salad as she couldn't eat anything off the menu, she was charged 10$ and then a $3 off the menu charge. $13 for a plain salad. i can say with full confidence that i will never go back. my dinner was 20 dollars and i couldn't stomach the sauce. chicken was dry. i, like many others at the table, did not even half finish my meal.

save yourself the trouble, trust my review. i don't know who these people are giving it a good review but don't risk it. anyrestauranthas better food than this. any.

overrated. i was excited to try it with all the positive reviews. given therestaurantis in the heart of little italy i had high hopes.

i was dissapointed. service was slow, meals were slow, prices were high.

i left unimpressed because the more expensive dishes we tried were less good than the cheaper ones. veal particularly was dreadful

at dinner at la romarestauranton preston street, paired with wines from cefalicchio winery, i asked cefalicchio's agronomist which was his favourite wine. surprisingly, he chose the "romanico canosa riserva rosso 2005", a wine of which much was lost in the making. this winery is a new family winery, and the winemaker was young and inexperienced. the growing season had been perfect and the harvest good. but mistakes were made and the wine was almost lost in the fermentation process. like many things in life, it is the challenges that bring the greatest rewards.

recently went with my family for my wife birthday. we were taken upstairs where the atmosphere was quiet. the food was very good and excellent service. this won't be our last time here. i would recommend thisrestaurantto everyone.
