i've only heardgoodthings about this place and back in march, my brother took my best friend and i out to eat here. i've never been much of a steak person but la cabrera has definitely changed that. from the attentive servers to thegoodfood and lovely ambiance, it was such a wonderful dining experience. would recommend and would definitely go here again. thank you!

for the 1st time we found the best steak ever!my family and i had been searchinggoodquality steak since my husband transferred here from the states we've been trying to look for the best meat for steak!finally after a long long time!!we were so lucky!my girlfriend loved it!my husband gives a two thumbs up so is my son and my son's friend!!!our dinner was a superb experience in la cabrera!the organic tea was so amazing!and i like how they decorates their chandeliers with all those cooking utensils!!!yeahhh horrray!!!!for this place!!!!their 15 days aged rib eye is a must try and the provoleta!!!!

the night could have been perfect... great steak, nice restaurant,goodcompany then their soup and very poor customer service ruined it.

#1 the soup arrived when we're almost done with the steak
#2 the soup was not a soup. it was water mixed with some sort of mushroom essence. i am not a chef but hell i can make better mushroom soup than that! the chef must have been smoking something when s/he was making that garbage.
#3 i politely told the waiter that the soup was not good...the waiter didn's say anything. i asked for for the manager and just told her straight that their soup is horrible. her response, i think she said sorry, but it stopped at that. the soup was php 350 (or maybe even more) i think and that is php 350 wasted. i do not mind paying 6k for great food, but not for this soup. that php 100 goto at goodah has more value for your money, seriously. they say you get what you pay for, i agree when it comes to their steak. but because that soup will rob you. and so is the service charge that you pay for supposedly great service. that charge should've been used for training their staff to handle customer feedback and complaints like that.
#4 after escalating my soup complaint, no credit was given or any freebie to at least pacify an upset customer.

so i'd rather go to raging bull at shangri la the fort for my steak cravings.

honestly, i just pass by this argentinian resto because it looks expensive. little did i know that it tastes realgoodhence the price you pay.

upon ordering, you get a complimentary bread basket w/ 3 dips and i’d go for the butter one along w/ a few sips of merlot while you wait for your orders.

our appetizers surely whet our taste buds. the prosciutto was exquisite while the sausages were divine!

the main course did not disappoint w/c came w/ a flood of sides. i mean, i lf you’re presented w/ 12+’side dishes who wouldnt be amazed?! our steak was cooked medium rare and it was scrumptious while the chunky beef shanks were a lil on the sweet side but what i loved w/ it was the fat that embraced its outer parts.

we did not have any carbs but maaan, all that meat sure filled usgoodthat eating the ff day would be the right thing to do.

these guys know how to make great steaks! if you’re looking for a serious piece of meat, this is the place to go. servings are huge andgoodfor sharing.

top 2 things for me about this place that sets it apart: great service and enchanting interiors. the food isgoodas well so it makes a really great date place overall. i would recommend the cuadril and the beef chicharones. the steak paired well with the malbec they had on hand as well.

being my first time in philippines, i have only steak in india, vietnam and thailand to compare...so my rating may feel high to some.
but i stand by it. i had the cuadril as recommended by the very eloquent waiter morris.
i have no words to describe what was served. delicious, yummy, exquisite all fall short of what i just tasted.

as recommended by the chef, i ordered it medium rare.
the meat was so soft it melted in my mouth. the salt and spice balance was just amazing. and the juices ran exploding in flavor all over my taste palate.

normally with a steak i ignore the sides, but in a wealth of side dishes there is a gem in the form of the caramelized garlic that pairs with the steak so beautifully, it's almost sinful (in agoodway).

the sauce again is a choice, but i recommend to add it. each bite gives a new flavor paired with different sauces and then a mix.
a feeling of overwhelming joy and happiness is what is imparted by this steak.
to cap off i had the chocotorta for dessert. it's delicious too. but i just can't stop thinking about the steak.

next visit to philippines i am coming back here again.

for now i look forward to more steak places that locals have rated higher....

provoleta - grilled provolone - is agoodappetizer.

the juucy ojo di bife (ribeye) is fantastic! la cabrera features unlimited lupa or side dishes. the sides range from hot to cold and they're refillable.

enjoy your steak with their wide wine collection. i chose a malbec and my partner had a sangria

i love the interior of this place 😍 not a steak kind of girl so when we were here what i tried was their pasta, chicken pesto. it was an off the menu and i would say it should stay off. didn’t tastegoodbut the serving is big. maybe will go back to try their steak.

la cabrera is sogoodyou’d want to eat there all the time but it’s also so pricey that you don’t. we went to la cabrera to celebrate my birthday. thanks you, ❤️! 😘

for starters, we had the provoleta con jamon which we thoroughly enjoyed, being cheese lovers. even if you’re not a lover of cheese, you’re sure to enjoy this dish though as every ingredient in la cabrera is of top notch quality. we also had the tomato soup which was alsogoodbut less enjoyable that cheese obviously.

we came to la cabrera for the steak of course. the 15 day wet aged ribeye was the real star of the show. the meat was so tender and perfectly seasoned with no need for any gravy. we had all the sides that came with the steak and being that they’re were all good, finished them all.

apart from the steak, we also had the chorizo criolo and a the linguine con oliva pasta - which were both good, but only supporting stars. unlike the steak, the chorizo was best enjoyed with the sides/ sauces. the pasta wasgoodbut nothing you can’t get elsewhere in the metro.

overall, it was a great experience. can’t wait for the next celebration.

super steak. probably the best i have ever had. i doubt though if it was fully charcoal grilled. maybe they just grilled it for browning but with the doneness spread all evenly, inside and out, they sure did it sous vide way. well who cares... it was awesome!

of course the place is pricy and for a formal occasion but worth every penny. in spite of the formality of the place basis the menu and price, it is uniquely located on a street corner and that makes it even better.

other stuff apart from the steak was great too. the bread, the chicken and the grilled cheese was superb as well. they serve a plethora of sauce with the steak and the sides are unlimited. trust me, you don't need the sauce and the sides. the 15-day wet rib eye is just perfect on its own.

la cabrera has been a go-to place of mine, primarily because my boyfriend loves their steaks.goodfood, unlimited sides,goodwine. went here to celebrate a special occasion. staff was very helpful and friendly. accommodated our requests. they even prepared a special birthday dessert to end the lovely dinner. will definitely visit again!

if you're looking for a place to try some argentinian food, la cabrera can be one of the restaurants you can consider. the ambience of the restaurant is very inviting, for it gives you an "old town" feel. the restaurant is known for it's steak and they did not disappoint. i highly recommend you guys try the steak! a lot of sidings would be served together with the steak. sidings like mashed potato, ratatouille, argentinian sauce and a lot more. the best part? the sidings are unlimited!
