la bella vita ristorante italiano

took out of town guests to la bella vita. after waiting over 2 hours for entrees and only seeing waiter twice during that time i asked for a manager. i was told the manager quit and other waiter had to double as manager. then was told sous chef quit and they couldn't hire another 1. then original waiter came back and told us it was our fault for ordering salads and an appetizer because we moved to back of kitchen queue after ordering salads or appetizer. then told 1 person at table of 7 could get 1 free glass ofwinefor over 2 hour wait. i was embarrassed to bring people there to be treated so poorly.

did not live up to the hype of other reviews. while our evening was pleasant enough, it certainly was not the a+ dining experience we were hoping for. many of the reviews on here would lead one to believe that this is the premiere italian restaurant in town. it is not.

first, the wait staff seemed to "hand us off" from one to another. we were approached (not properly and politely greeted) by a man who explained specials etc and then he disappeared. it would be one thing if he had introduced himself as the sommelier or maître d', but he did not. i noticed him waiting tables like any other after he abandoned us. also, none of the servers introduced themselves which is extremely important in a restaurant that touts itself to be way above average.

the service was extremely slow. the meal took over 1 1/2 hrs for wine, appetizer, salad and main course. i understanding pacing in a nice restaurant is important. this was not pacing, it was neglect.

the food was fine but did not distinguish itself as special. thewinelist was limited by the fact that it featured only italian wines which i assume you should expect in an italian restaurant. that would be fine if there was any such thing as good italian wine. in my opinion and in the opinion of my date, there is not. maybe a french or california on the back page for those of us bold enough to stray from convention in order he enjoy a decent bottle ofwinein an italian restaurant.

over all, very very average.

authentic italian food at its finest! this restaurant is non-chain and focuses on quality food and service. with a wide selection of wines and freshly made pastas—you are sure come back for more. my hubby and i enjoyed a quiet dinner for two and were especially impressed by our waiter nikki. he knew the specials by heart and provided excellent recommendations to suit our palettes. the portions were spot-on with freshly baked bread accompaniment. with any restaurant that serves freshly made pasta, you will have an opportunity to sipwineand enjoy your date's company. this is a great date night location or venue for a small group of friends. it appears they also do catered events. everyone's food including my own was absolutely divine. can't wait to go back for more!

three couples passing through colorado springs for a few days. decided on italian food for dinner. saw good reviews on zamato app. two negative and lots of positive. called for reservations and were seated as soon as we arrived. the waiter, steve, introduced himself eloquently, was very courteous and professional, yet very friendly and helpful. service was superb,wineand food fantastic! prices very reasonable. the manager came out and personally checked on us. very nice experience for all of us.

we were simply driving down the road with italian food on our mind when we came upon la bella vita and pulled in. even though we didn't have a reservation, we waited only a short time in the well-stocked lounge before being seated at a very comfortable booth. the general manager was amazingly attentive, advised us on thewineand beer selection, seated us and checked on us several times. the server was knowledgeable about the menu and the food was outstanding. this place is an absolute treasure.

services. me and my boyfriend went here for the first time and made reservations. it was amazing! the food is incredible and the service is awesome. we had reservations and they were a little late but they sat us at a waiting table and served uswineuntil a table was free. the food is absolutely worth the wait time though. it was great all around :)

excellent!!!!! michael took care of us extremely well. excellentwinerecommendation. the food was delicious. we had the garlic bread, a salad, an entree, dessert and i had an espresso. the ambience was relaxing and authentic!! if we lived here, we would be "regulars."

real italian food!!. finally found what we were looking for, me and my husband recently moved from the east coast to colorado and we were unable to find some decent italian meal in the springs after trying several italian restaurants, but finally after several months we found it!!! la bella vita, actually owned by 2 real italian guys from italy witch now these days don't see much of it. we visited 2 nights ago and had some fabulous dishes, the homemade spinach gnocchi special with a veal ragu sauce and the risotto with shrimp, arugula and sundried tomatoes were very fresh and extremely nice, even the bread that they bring out, you can tell that its homemade. we also had the tiramisu and i will be honest to you, it was probably one of the best i have ever had in my life.
they got a pretty nice not to extensivewinelist witch consist with a variety of only italian wines. we are glad that we found la bella vita that will be our spot for when we italian food.

top of the heap. best actual italian food we've had here. now granted that is in a town that includes panino's, olive garden, luigi's, and the like....but really this is just terrific. the lasagne was superior in every way. goodwineselection, great service, gracious hosts.

wow!. i took my wife to eat here over the weekend and we were both amazed by everything about this place. first, the ambiance is very welcoming. there were real flowers on the table along with candles and semi-dim lighting. our server was well knowledged of the menu and thewineselections, which was very helpful as we don't drink alot of italian wine. the menu has a wide range of selections of pasta, chicken and veal dishes and steaks and seafood.they also present a nice selection of specials for dinner. we were very impressed with the prices as well, considering they included salad or soup. we ordered the rolatine di pollo and the veal marsala. it was absolutely wonderful and filling. we ended our meal with the tiramisu and orangecello cheesecake, which were amazing. we were very impressed and will definitely be telling our friends about this place. five stars from us!!!
