la bella vita ristorante italiano

took out of town guests to la bella vita. after waiting over 2 hours for entrees and only seeing waiter twice during that time i asked for a manager. i was told the manager quit and other waiter had to double as manager. then was told sous chef quit and they couldn't hire another 1. then original waiter came back and told us it was our fault for ordering salads and an appetizer because we moved to back of kitchen queue after ordering salads or appetizer. then told 1 person at table of 7 could get 1 free glass of wine for over 2 hour wait. i was embarrassed to bring people there to be treated so poorly.

the service was great, often filled my water though. the food was to die for. absolutely delicious. would most definitely recommend to a friend or even a stranger!

great italian restaurant. very enjoyable birthday dinner for my wife. will definitely go back when visiting co springs.

fenomenal italian. that's funny reading the previous review bc we were refered by a coworker to and we went try la bella vita to the same night and the food and service was fenomenal from antipasti to paste and secondi. i m italian from second generation not first and definately not fifth bc their is a big difference,but i can do say one thing!!! that you should never mention at the table at my family's house. never say that you like olive garden or any italian chain restaurants bc you will be disgraced by your country and or by your family. if you want to eat real italian at its closest in colorado springs, la bella vita is the place to go.

disappointed. i went this evening to la bella vita from a recommendation from a co worker who said it was good, i was so disappointed. i took my daughter for her graduation dinner and it was awful! the food was over price, service was awful, and didn't even know if they offered a military discount or not. please dont go here i am italian and this food was no where near close to ..it was awful never will go again or recommend it to anyone so sorry i ruined my daughters dinner would of love the olive garden better!

best italian in town!. my husband and i loved it! we got wine, italian soda, appetizers, dinner, and dessert! everything was authentic and delicious! great service too, but i did have to chuckle about the server's fake italian accent. will definitely return soon!

true southern italian food!!!!. as a person who has lived in italy for almost seven years, this is true southern italian food!!! i believe those that gave a bad review are jaded by the american italian food they so love. olive garden has nothing on la bella vita nor is there any comparison. the menu is true to the southern region of italy and i definetly plan on going back and continually recommending this to friends and family.

did not live up to the hype of other reviews. while our evening was pleasant enough, it certainly was not the a+ dining experience we were hoping for. many of the reviews on here would lead one to believe that this is the premiere italian restaurant in town. it is not.

first, the wait staff seemed to "hand us off" from one to another. we were approached (not properly and politely greeted) by a man who explained specials etc and then he disappeared. it would be one thing if he had introduced himself as the sommelier or maître d', but he did not. i noticed him waiting tables like any other after he abandoned us. also, none of the servers introduced themselves which is extremely important in a restaurant that touts itself to be way above average.

the service was extremely slow. the meal took over 1 1/2 hrs for wine, appetizer, salad and main course. i understanding pacing in a nice restaurant is important. this was not pacing, it was neglect.

the food was fine but did not distinguish itself as special. the wine list was limited by the fact that it featured only italian wines which i assume you should expect in an italian restaurant. that would be fine if there was any such thing as good italian wine. in my opinion and in the opinion of my date, there is not. maybe a french or california on the back page for those of us bold enough to stray from convention in order he enjoy a decent bottle of wine in an italian restaurant.

came excited for my birthday reservation. however, our waiter matthew made this a very disappointing experience. first of all, my husband put on the reservation it was his wife's birthday and he mentioned it to the waiter and i even casually mentioned it after he fought with me when i was dissatisfied with the old fashioned i was served. he told me i don't know what an old fashioned is and then proceeded to not even offer a replacement instead brought a cup of crap cherries that looked like they had been cut up by a machete. he then continued to only look at my husband and not even acknowledge me or how my meal was. we will never be returning due the matthew as otherwise the restaurant was adorable, the pasta decent and otherwise nice employees. by the way matthew:

great dinner tonight and good portion sizes. loved the food. there ar le no substitutions allowed. the prices are reasonable. the decor is basic. the veal was tender and a good size, but lacked enough potatoes.

authentic italian food at its finest! this restaurant is non-chain and focuses on quality food and service. with a wide selection of wines and freshly made pastas—you are sure come back for more. my hubby and i enjoyed a quiet dinner for two and were especially impressed by our waiter nikki. he knew the specials by heart and provided excellent recommendations to suit our palettes. the portions were spot-on with freshly baked bread accompaniment. with any restaurant that serves freshly made pasta, you will have an opportunity to sip wine and enjoy your date's company. this is a great date night location or venue for a small group of friends. it appears they also do catered events. everyone's food including my own was absolutely divine. can't wait to go back for more!

absolutely wonderful food! i've dined here several times and have never been disappointed!! while you can order pasta. there are many other options which are wonderful! definitely the best italian dining option in colorado springs!

three couples passing through colorado springs for a few days. decided on italian food for dinner. saw good reviews on zamato app. two negative and lots of positive. called for reservations and were seated as soon as we arrived. the waiter, steve, introduced himself eloquently, was very courteous and professional, yet very friendly and helpful. service was superb, wine and food fantastic! prices very reasonable. the manager came out and personally checked on us. very nice experience for all of us.

the most authentic italian food experience you can hope for in colorado springs.....vino....and the customer service is by far above the average!!

nice surprise. on our way to the broadmoor world arena, we looked to try an italian restuarant. online search led us to la bella vita. the service & ambience was top notch. the food was tasty, well prepared & plentiful. we were very pleased with the experience, including a wonderful decaf capucchino. definitely would return when down in the area.
