we decided to try this pub for food having read impressive reviews. the food was nice but to be honest i was expecting it to be better based on the reviews i'd read (perhaps my expectations were set too high). don't get me wrong the food is good but i felt it was a bit overpriced for what it was.
i had the chicken kiev with twice cooked chips and my partner had the wild boar burger. both mains were good but nothing special particularly for €17-18 per dish. i just expected something more.
the pub itself is cosy if a little dark. they do have a greatselectionof beers and the service was good.

an irish pub with a fresh, contemporary twist. good food and a greatselectionof craft beers and whiskey. don't expect generic pub grub if you find yourself a table – menu is authentically irish but prepared and served with a touch of modern restaurant flair. trendy joint.

dinner with some co-workers! cosy place with excellent beerselectionbut the food lacks quality for the price. i had the vegetaria scotch egg for starter and pan fried hake for main course which was disappointing. although the scotch egg was good (not great) the fish was more like a bad reinvented fish and ships! i would have scored it lower if it wasn't the space and beer selection. not worth the price in my opinion.

as a starter, i tried the smoked hake scotch egg. tasty, but i was expecting it to be a little more runny on the inside.
i was a little bit disappointed with pork belly. tasty sauce but the pork was lacking flavor, and i was expecting a little more crackling.
great beerselection(extra 0,5 just for that)!

this place is out of this world. i absolutely love it. our friends live nearby so we were looking for somewhere to eat near them. had heard this was good so we rocked up and were promptly seated, it was lunch on a saturday and boy did it get packed out by 12pm, with good reason.

service was friendly knowledgeable and quick. greatselectiondraught and craft beers. menu is not too large and seasonal which i love. we had haddock scotch egg- amazing ! and love the concept. normal scotch egg was good too. not too dry and meaty/ a good balance.
i had the blossom fish which was cooked perfectly and was a decent thick fillet, was amazing.
the burger was excellent- with lovely cheese melted on the pattie and whole gerkjns and to die for chips.
little touches like the menus and the crockery and getting timer with your tea completed the meal.
i highly recommend this place.

myself and a friend went in here on a busy saturday with the intention of having dinner. the staff were very helpful in making space for us, and were very attentive. the menus are lovely, hidden in secondhand books and offered a tidy foodselectionand a wide range of beers. i had the chicken burger and it was good as chicken burgers go, nothing extraordinary but satisfying. they had lupe garou on tap which is absolutely beautiful and made me quite happy.
