we went to newkudlarestaurant in urva market.. had the worst experience ever.. hot summer season half of the restaurant s ac were not working.. we were literally sweating.. when we asked for change of tables to better cooler place, waiters were not helpful.. we found a six seater which was cooler, when we were about to sit one of the waiters was extremely rude and made us get up since we were 4 of us even though almost entire restaurant was empty.. we were really pissed off.. pathetic behaviour.. disrespectful to the customers.. will never visit this restaurant in my life

i had ordered 1 gobi manchurian and 1 baby corn chilli .. butkudlaparceled both baby corn chilli .. very disappointed with service

for authentic mangalorian cuisinekudlais always one of the options. perfect for a family dining experience. but with increasing restaurants in mangalore, there have been new restaurants to go for. but nevertheless,kudlais still preferred

mangalore surprised me. i always knew it was a paradise for food lovers, but was i in for a shock to see how serious the food business is here.. there's probably a restaurant/tea kiosk every few kilometers serving a wonderful meal. our very friendly auto chap suggestedkudlato us for a mangalore experience.. and though i'm sure there must be better and more authentic restaurants out there...kudladid us well too. we ordered fish masala, mutton ghee roast, neer dosa, koti roti and some drinks to wash it all down and lemme me say it beforehand.. we totally forgot our drinks through the wonderful, spicy and scrumptious meal. the fish was spicy, moist and generously spread with masala. the neer dosa, koti roti and mutton ghee roast took the cake though. the dosa was just so perfect, so light, lightly sweet and made for an apt accompaniment with the rich and succulent mutton ghee roast. the food here took my heart.
the ambience, however was wanting, for a family restaurant. the dingy look did not do much for the restaurant bursting with kids and family.
in so far as the staff was concerned, they seemed grounded, helpful and warm.
overall,kudlajust convinced me to plan an exclusive trip to mangalore in the near future.

i go out with my family for dinner once every week.kudlais our first choice most of the time. it's not because the food is excellent. the food is good. but like the pricing here. the ambience is good too. don't order chopueys and other american or chinese dishes here. they are not as good as some of the other restaurants in the locality. try their mangalorean dishes like the chicken ghee roast and the seafood. these are my favorites.

undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in mangalore by all means
right in the heart of the city .very hygienic,super quality local seafood & very economical 👍
ordered for silver fish tawa fry& koddai (croaker fish)tawa fry both were amazing 😉
for main course we had silverfish curry 🍛 with neerdosa &marwai pundi(rice balls mixed with clam 🍛)were excellent on top of it we hadkudlaspecial gadbad &that was a feast 😉
worth every penny we spent would love to visit again when ever in mangalore 👏👏👏
a must try restaurant in mangalore for 🌊 seafood &local delicacies 🦀🐟😘😘

i have ordered for a home delivery.
it took half an hour ti deliver the food.
what i tried was chicken biriyani and king fish fry(anjal).
chicken biriyani was fantastic, it had a boiled egg too which is very rare to see now a days along with the biriyani.
the biriyani was not dry rice,it was very juicy with more than enough masala.
biriyani jad the taste of all the spice and essence added,till having the biriyani fromkudlarestaurant i tought in mangalore we won't get good biriyani.
but we get good biriyani inkudlarestaurant.
the king fish (anjal),i ordered a masala fish.
the fish was with enough masala.
fished was enough spicy but had the taste of leaf added more than the taste of fish.
the restaurant should avoid use of leaves in fish masala.
the fish was big according to price.
this restaurant is a must try for all people who comes to mangalore.

kudla is one of the many names that mangalore city has. this particular best represents the non - veg especially the chicken preparations of the city.
the entrance is a narrow one and the ambience is not something very pleasing to the eyes.
however , you can considerkudlaas an option for dinner since the looks pleasant in the dimming lights.
don't bother to order anything other than non- vegetarian dishes. every time i have my friends /colleagues visit my city and intend to hog on authentic chicken delicacies i take them to kudla.
the kori - roti, chicken sukka, fish rava fry , urwal preparations will be loved by your taste buds.
this is one place where you can give the desserts a miss.

me and my family were visited tokudlain mangalore. it was my on of best experience ,kudla specializes in sea food, we ordered crab ghee masala , taste was very very good ,my mouth watering .

food is much cheaper inkudla compared to any other restaurant in mangalore. my personal favourites ofkudlaare chicken thava and chicken ghee roast. service take too much time. rest everything is good

good food... few dishes rock and few suck... go for non veg... selected veg are good...kudlame jaana hai toh non veg ke liye jao... veg is not that great

mangalore is known for its sea food, and while visiting, one should not miss the special mangalore style preparation of fish.kudlais one such great option which has been around for years. i recently paid a visit to check out their offering. the decor is simple and a little old as well, nothing too exuberant about it. the menu revolves around local cuisine and seafood. we decided to try the fishcurry meals and a fish fry. you can choose which fish is to be fried and we went for the very popular anjal fish which has just one bone in the center. the preparation was wonderful, the fish was soft and after being light fried it was covered in this wonderful mixture of spices to form a thick paste on top. went very well with the meal of fish curry, which had a lot of thorns mind you. rasam and one beetroot vegetable made up the thali apart from papad and choice of white rice or boiled whole rice. the boiled rice which has brownish tones is very good for health too. kudlaalso serves a variety of other sea food and some rice items too. service is quick and value for money factor is not bad. a meal for 2 can be had within 500 easily. overall a good restaurant in mangalore for seafood i can say.

what i love best aboutkudlaare their interiors. it has been beautifully done up to incorporate a lot of elements that were essential in traditional manglorean houses, but in these days of high rises and apartment complexes, most kids would not even know what these things are (will attach photos shortly)

the food is good and heavily favored towards bunts style cooking (mangalore has multiple traditional styles of cooking). love the ghee roast with neer dosa and kori rotti chicken curry
