not impressed!. went here after reading all the good reviews, ordered the salt n pepa calamari which was overcooked and tuff to eat and also the szechuan chicken which had no sauce or vegtables and tasted plain with no real flavour at all. also 2 dishes cost over $32 with noriceincluded which i wouldn't mind paying if the food was good but it was terrible, i do not recommend this reastaurant to anyone it's overpriced and the food was below average..

as chinese, i am always down for an authentic chinese meal. i would say kings food was quite up to my standards and i’m still thinking about their three cup chicken. there are so many more dishes i would love to have a go with. seafood friedricewas on point and the veggie stir fry was a fresh touch to the greasiness and savory flavor of three cup chicken.

i have eaten enough salty fish friedriceover the years, i could cover market square carpark with rice....i love it.

kingsfood has always been great..have been coming here with my family for many years that some of the staff remember us..love the food hot and tasty....love the taro frappe best i've tasted anywhere..

when we do come we order a plate per person so we have a mixture of foods.. our go to are

3 mixed roast with pork belly, bbq and duck

special sauce spare ribs

beef and kai-lan in bbq sauce

salt and pepper calamari

the food doesn't always come out at the same but we are busy talking and because we already know this we always get shared meals..for the amount of tables cleared and reused each night staff are run of there feet but will always come take an extra drink order happily....

another restaurant to tick off my market square bucket list! kingsfood is an interesting and bustling restaurant tucked away in the heart of market square’s maze shaped centre.

we ordered the beef brisket noodle soup and the szechuan style chicken. both arrived relatively quickly!

i liked the noodle soup. despite it’s dark colour, the broth was quite simple - which allowed for one to focus on the delicious brisket and thick noodles. the beef was well cooked. the texture of the noodles was fantastic, super filling and chewy.

the chicken was good, it had a nice flavour and was good paired with rice.

i think the food here is decent, but believe that there are better restaurants in sunnybank. i would come here again for the large serving sizes and cheap prices. next time, i will probably try the spicy tofu and pork mince withrice(it looks really good). enjoy 😊

our must order: three cups chicken, which comes in a hot pot,, yummy flavor. 
another favorite is the tofu pot and fried eggs with prawns. 

a larger group should be able to share, the braised beef pot, which got a lot in there, really tender and a lot of sauce to go with thericeand some vege underneath the beef absorbing all the juiciness.

been going here since 2013 and the food taste the same! you can’t get their salt n pepper squid anywhere, it’s so good! especially the kingsfood special friedriceand the deep fried tofu with the perfect pairing of the sweet sauce. don’t sleep on kingsfood! it’s the og in market square.

had the hainanese chickenrice(hcr) here with my friend (who is a regular). as someone who is from china and has a high standard for chinese food, i believe that kingsfood does a really decent hcr. the chicken is steamed to perfection, and the sauces that come with it are authentic. the cucumber is prepared traditionally, and they have made a decent attempt to replicate the rice. it should be cooked using chicken stock or chicken fat, but i think this was only done with very very diluted stock as there was only a slight chicken flavour. thericeitself was also a bit undercooked. finally, the soup that came with it was the soup of the day rather than the usual soup you get with hcr. still the best i've found in brisbane so far, though!

brisket noodle soup!! 💯 the friedricewas fairly small compared to rival restaurants in the area. apart from that good service and great food :)

love this place, the best satay chicken in brisbane, also the kingsfood special friedriceis a meal in itself. portions are extremely generous. i always intend to try other dishes but can't get past the satay. will always go back.

kingsfood might not be the best chinese restaurant in sunnybank but we have kept coming back for few reasons. first of all, there are almost everything on the menu that you would expect in common chinese restaurants, and the prices are affordable. their portions are really generous and the service is fast and straight forward.

anytime we visit kingsfood, what we don't miss out are hot & sour soup and mapo tofu. the soup has 2 sizes, and even a small one is big enough for 2-3 people as a starter. mapo tofu was nice and flavourful.

we also get to try a few new dishes. the deep fried tofu is a bit dry and the sauce is salty. the silky tofu & thousand eggs is a nice combination but the sauce is a bit too salty. the salty fish, pork mince and eggplant hot pot is quite nice but a little too sweet. the combination with gravy fried noodles is perfectly yummy. and the black pepper pork spare ribs withriceis nice, just needs a bit more seasoning.

we can't finish everything, so take some away for our lunch boxes. all together our meals only cost us $54.

quite busy night when we arrived but staffs attended us well.
we ordered mapo tofu and 3 mixed bbq dish, and steamriceof course. food is nice, despite the mapo tofu is little salty to me (since i didn't eat that with rice, so i though it is a reaaon). mixed bbq mixed kinda cold.
a plus side is a free soup (bone broth) so we like

this restaurant delivery good foods and drinks. it pretty cheap if you go two person and choose a big meal combine withricefor two. great location but also too busy. i will definitely visit this place again.

always amazing! the best in brisbane! we never go anywhere else. every dish is delicious, quick and affordable. the special friedriceis the best we've ever had; also amazing is the satay and the sweet and sour chicken.
