not impressed!. went here after reading all thegoodreviews, ordered the salt n pepa calamari which was overcooked and tuff to eat and also the szechuan chicken which had no sauce or vegtables and tasted plain with no real flavour at all. also 2 dishes cost over $32 with no rice included which i wouldn't mind paying if the food wasgoodbut it was terrible, i do not recommend this reastaurant to anyone it's overpriced and the food was below average..

my favourite chinese restaurant in sunnybank! the menu is highly variable, and the food is consistently tasty! my favourite dish here would be the flounder with ginger sauce. the egg tofu is also very yummy. servings are generous; and you also have access to free soup, cooled water or hot tea. a verygoodspot for a quick family dinner.

delicious food,goodsizes and prices, lovely staff.
we always get the same thing:
taro milk tea, lemon-lychee green tea, salt and pepper calamari, garlic gailan, crispy beef, szechwan chicken... they give you takeaway containers for your extra :)

the recent experience of declined standard at the sushi edo (sunnybank plaza) did not represent the standard of overall eateries around the area as the same. this eatery is an excellent example.
had a quick dinner here last monday and found that it was as busy as before.
we ordered a few dishes to explore. mixed stewed platter was generous in portion. taste of the beef honey-cone, seaweed and pig ear were all delicious. soup of meat ball and wonton were good. if the deep fried chicken thigh can be asgoodas fried chicken master and the stir-fried long bean asgoodas the tasty gallery, a full mark would be deserved. having said that overall standard has been obviously improved as compared to our last experience😋

somehow 5 years has passed since my last visit to kingsfood sunnybank. it wasn't packed when we got there around 6:30pm on a saturday, though a queue had built out the door by the time we left about an hour later.

our order:
* no.44 yang chow fried rice, $14.50 - with prawns and chinese pork sausages
* no.45 taiwanese style fried hokkien noodle with pork, $11
* watermelon juice, $5
* plum frappe, $4

these guys have been since forever and i had forgotten how cheap the drinks here are compared to the newer batches of drink outlets. they may not be as fancy, but sometimes that's all you're after. nice and refreshing.

food wise our dishes were of agoodportion and tasted fine. there's lots more on the menu i'd be keen to get reacquainted with including share dishes which means i'll need to come back with more people!

also keen to check out the new kingsfood branch in the cbd - looks to be agoodcontender for the next time i'm after a weekday lunch option.

very busy restaurant and i had high expectations based on the reviews. we had the salty fish fried rice, cumin lamb, vegetarian hotpot. large portions and well priced. the food was ok but i found the food bland. keen to try other dishes to confirm my thoughts as the place is very busy which indicatesgoodfood.

service - 7/10
food - 6/10
value - 8/10
decor - 5/10

another restaurant to tick off my market square bucket list! kingsfood is an interesting and bustling restaurant tucked away in the heart of market square’s maze shaped centre.

we ordered the beef brisket noodle soup and the szechuan style chicken. both arrived relatively quickly!

i liked the noodle soup. despite it’s dark colour, the broth was quite simple - which allowed for one to focus on the delicious brisket and thick noodles. the beef was well cooked. the texture of the noodles was fantastic, super filling and chewy.

the chicken was good, it had a nice flavour and wasgoodpaired with rice.

i think the food here is decent, but believe that there are better restaurants in sunnybank. i would come here again for the large serving sizes and cheap prices. next time, i will probably try the spicy tofu and pork mince with rice (it looks really good). enjoy 😊

this was not my first time at kingsfood, but it was certainly my most enjoyable in recent times. service was fast and food was very tasty. even though the restaurant was three quarters full, we were served quickly and food came out at an impressive rate.

we ordered our usual favourites like, crispy shredded beef ($16.50), deep fried tofu (s)($5.50) and combination crispy noodle with gravy ($14.50). as we were having lunch with friends they picked dishes to share as well. they ordered salt and pepper calamari ($16.50), special sauce spare ribs ($16.50), satay chicken ($16.00) and kai lan with oyster sauce ($11.00).

i must say, i enjoyed all dishes on this visit and kingsfood is our 'go to' restaurant for this type of food. i feel it's itsgoodvalue, delicious and we are always satisfied. i would recommend to anyone who isn't familiar to market square and isn't sure what to eat.
