have been many times over the past year. this byo turkish must be one of the most popular restaurants for a reasonably cheap meal on jackson street. when nearby places are almost empty, this one is almost invariably busy. there always seems to be a slightly chaotic air, but the staff are friendly, helpful, and always seem to find us a table when it looks hopeless. for two, we usually order a vegetarian mezze and one other shared plate. the mezze is delicious and almost enough for two by itself. sometimes service can be a bit variable, but not for any other reason that there's a lot of activity and occasionally something - like bringing wine glasses - can get forgotten. kid friendly, bustling, good and ample food for a reasonable price. no wine list - byo only - but there is a good bottle store 50 meters down the road. worth a visit for a quick meal out in petone.

mixed grill is where its at if you're a meat lover. in fact any plate you order will satisfy because the portions are decent and the taste is great!!! we got lucky this evening and got a table from walking in off the street. but its probably best to book a table to avoid disappointment.

really good value for money. we often go there for kebab takeaways. it is our restaurant/takeaway of choice on jackson st. when we are too lazy to cook our own. we have also eaten in and found it very friendly and the food good

i have been to kilim many times and have found it consistently enjoyable. service is friendly and efficient and the food is well presented, enjoyable and healthy. would recommend for takeaway or eat in.

love how little and cosy this place is. the staff are amazing and attentive. never had a bad meal and the range of food is good. probably not one for a big group of people (personally)

the food here is pretty good, lunch meals are ok but dont understand why you dont offer the mixed iskender at dinner time, the staff are very rude also

first visit here was for a birthday meal, service was good no complaints, meal was great, piping hot, full of flavours, generous portions, ambience relaxed and pleasant will dine here again for sure.

absolutely loved it here. the guy who served me had a great sense of humor, he made my day! the vegetarian meze had a fantastic variety of delicious morsels and the decor was really nice. couldn't fault.

we have been there many times and have nothing short of excellent food and service every single time-we are so impressed that our booking this friday night under my name we are not expecting to be any less than excellent as it has always been to date.

we turned up at one my usually favourite places to eat at 4:45 today. the staff stared at us, then chatted away, then stared at us again, then continued chatting again behind the counter. in the end, we awkwardly left as they made it clear that they weren't going to offer us a table. so ,we need to find a new favourite turkish restaurant now!

went back here recently, it is still the same, the food is still amazing and resonable. service is fast and you can b.y.o.

i always get the vege meze platter which is full of yummy goodies, you will not go away hungry - their spanakoppita and haulmi is awesome.

you will not regret going there.

i've travelled alot and pretty happy to be able to dine here.
it's as authentic as you will get here in wellington. i recommend the chicken over the lamb, as i don't like minced lamb. i prefer to have kebab that is lamb meat. but hey don't let my preference sway you at all!
