hands down the best iftar buffet so far i had in abudhabi. huge variety of arabic, indian, asian, japanese and italian food. beautiful ambiance and spacious sitting area.staffis very courteous and caring. very very efficientstaffand chefs that were checking on guests and food and making sure all food is served hot and with a smile. live grill station, live sushi and stir fried items, huge ouzi and biryani stall, wide variety of deserts. there is cotton candy and many varieties of icecreams to choose. turkish delights and arabic sweets. hot mezzeh, harees, live pizza baking. and all the food was tasty. nothing was bland. there was flavor in everything. it is highly recommended and i have already booked for next thursday iftar as well.

people, if you haven’t yet been here for their weekend buffet, you are missing out. that’s the first and foremost thing. their international food, dessert and spacious restaurant and excellent service bystaffis worth a visit and many more. a nice place to bring visiting family and friends. love this place.

after reading all the great reviews about khayal, i decided to enjoy my day off by having breakfast their and it was certainly a great one.

when we arrived, the setup was beautiful, luxurious and very relaxing. the display of the food was simply outstanding. each food was broken down into sections and explained to us.

we chose to sit by the window to enjoy the lovely view. we were warmly greeted by thestaffas well as mr. rahul, chef de cuisine.

breakfast was a feast; the buffet had everything, salads, cereals, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, fresh juices, pastries and amazing variety of indian and arabic traditional breakfast dishes as well as healthy options.

they had pancake, waffles and eggs stations that happily cook according to your preference. what pleasantly surprised me was that we had an option of ordering egg benedict too, which not many restaurants have on their live counter menu. it’s always either scrambled or omelette. we opted for the one with salmon and it tasted amazing.

the food itself was fantastic quality and the service was unbeatable. compared to all other breakfasts we have done before, this is by far one of the best for quality, variety, service and presentation. the verity of drinks also was brilliant, wish it was an all-day breakfast!!

the place is huge and nice. plenty of tables.
food is very good. there are different specialities on different stations. i love the chinese counter where we can order our favorite soup.
i advise the blueberry muffins: the best in abu dhabi.

khayal restaurant organize a pre-iftar sampling event and it was outstanding. thestaffwere cordial and accomodating. food and beverage were overflowing and overwhelming. they served international cuisine in the buffet table for every type of craving which suites multinational visitors with diverse taste. aside from limitless arabic, indian and pasta dishes, what i love best is the chinese and japanese stations. they served dumplings, asian noodles and makisushi. truly happy tummy for me!

we visited the khayal restaurant after seeing some good reviews but it was a disaster. we went for our anniversary dinner @ 18/01/2022, i was shocked to see such a low standard in a marriot group hotel. the buffet was below average, lock of items, food was not hot, grills are not cooked well, more over thestaffin the restaurant is not aware about their roles. only one person was available to deliver the food as gusts are not allowed to take food, that guy has no clue about the food items, we have to wait long to get items served, soft drink not included. they are taking aed 169 for one buffet and not even having the quality and verity of items sold in normal restaurants. never i recommend this restaurant ..... i will give 0 out of 5 stars. all this we informed the lady in the restaurant lobby.

we went to the iftar buffet 2 nights in a row. it was that impressive. i didn’t care to take photos because we were too busy enjoying the food and ambience.

two years ago i left a detailed negative review so i am not one to flatter. unfortunately, the quality went down drastically but the last two nights have proven otherwise. khayal is back with a bang in ramadan; providing a delicious variety of cuisines and excellent service to match.

an extra thank you to thestaffwho made the qamardeen drink. it was so refreshing! i regret not going for a second glass! if this is the quality of 2021, then we’re all going to need bigger clothes soon! well done, khayal. keep it up.

went got a lunch buffet, amazing service, strictly adhering covid guidelines, friendstaffspecially jezra who good care. she was very friendly with our kid and offered her a colouring set even.
food quality and tast were really good, my pick was the ceasers salad, the chicken breast portion and the sliders. good value for money

grateful to experience their wanasah family lunch last friday. khayal restaurant is a lovely place. love the interior and atmosphere also the comfortable seats. almost everything was delicious.

i did enjoyed their salad bar and the asian corner with almost everything homemade by chef ellie was phenomenal. i ate loads of rice because of their chicken stir fry and shrimp curry.

their is also a good variety in their emirati and arab food from fish to chicken to beef mixed grill.

not to be forget also their desserts. i looove the creme brulee, cupcakes are also and delicious.

i did enjoyed my wild berry mocktail, fresh juices for my daughter and dad as well as my iced coffee served by mina. shoutout as well to their awesomestaffsarah and shovit.

the 25 minutes drive from our city place is totally worth it. excited to see what more they can offer after the pandemic.

family lunch is back and it's really the perfect place to spend your off day eating here the food and thestaffwill let you passion to visit this place more often
variety of food and cuisines is not the only good thing but tastes are really perfect also ice-cream and desserts are super

we went there today for buffet lunch n was actually surprised to know that we had to wear masks inside the restaurant ... i went for a second helping without a mask n they send me back to my seat to wear the mask n come ... again, there were no barricades near the dessert plates n when i bent down to collect one , astaffhurriedly came to me and asked not to touch it n that they can only touch n hand it over to us ... if that was it , why didn’t you put a barricade like the ones you have put in food counters... i will never go again!!!

i had bought a groupon coupon for khayal in february. due to covid it was extended till october 2020 and the hotel was also closed till july end.
yesterday i booked a table for two and mentioned it was a groupon code. my booking was confirmed.
today when i went there
1. two juniorstaffwere present who accepted my coupon, wrote down the security code and were about to take my temperature.
2. suddenly a senior staff, lady, came to the reception. she was informed it was a groupon. she refused to accept me stating that after the covid situation they are not accepting any groupon.
3. i mentioned that i called yesterday and mentioned it was a groupon coupon,however no one informed. as usual she said that is not possible.
in all cases i feel in these cases you need to communicate to groupon and to the customer who have already paid for the coupon. moreover your ownstaffdid not know the rules. so miscommuncation has happened and no apology was offered. complaints will also be placed for groupon.
very disgraceful and embarassing situation today.

i went here for a birthday dinner with my friends last week. the food choices were not that many unlike when i went here 2 years ago. the sushi station was not there, the asian section was empty, the desserts were not that plenty. thestaffwere all amazing and accomodating.
