wow…. iftar buffet was on point the space between the tables was convenient very neat clean organized buffet the variety of thefoodwas very fair everything was delicious special thanks to our waiter nilham i guess that was her name she was working like a busy bee between the tables and cleared the dishes from the table on time. they had goodfoodoptions for kids my son was very very happy, they made sure to make our kids happy and full. this is the first buffet in my life that cared for kids up to this point, kidsfoodincluded (burgers, pizza, nuggets, fries) and they even had popcorn and slush for kids to serve. my son was happy, husband was happy, i was happy. the best iftar buffet i have ever had on my last 30 years in uae.

hands down the best iftar buffet so far i had in abudhabi. huge variety of arabic, indian, asian, japanese and italian food. beautiful ambiance and spacious sitting area. staff is very courteous and caring. very very efficient staff and chefs that were checking on guests andfoodand making sure allfoodis served hot and with a smile. live grill station, live sushi and stir fried items, huge ouzi and biryani stall, wide variety of deserts. there is cotton candy and many varieties of icecreams to choose. turkish delights and arabic sweets. hot mezzeh, harees, live pizza baking. and all thefoodwas tasty. nothing was bland. there was flavor in everything. it is highly recommended and i have already booked for next thursday iftar as well.

after reading all the great reviews about khayal, i decided to enjoy my day off by having breakfast their and it was certainly a great one.

when we arrived, the setup was beautiful, luxurious and very relaxing. the display of thefoodwas simply outstanding. eachfoodwas broken down into sections and explained to us.

we chose to sit by the window to enjoy the lovely view. we were warmly greeted by the staff as well as mr. rahul, chef de cuisine.

breakfast was a feast; the buffet had everything, salads, cereals, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, fresh juices, pastries and amazing variety of indian and arabic traditional breakfast dishes as well as healthy options.

they had pancake, waffles and eggs stations that happily cook according to your preference. what pleasantly surprised me was that we had an option of ordering egg benedict too, which not many restaurants have on their live counter menu. it’s always either scrambled or omelette. we opted for the one with salmon and it tasted amazing.

thefooditself was fantastic quality and the service was unbeatable. compared to all other breakfasts we have done before, this is by far one of the best for quality, variety, service and presentation. the verity of drinks also was brilliant, wish it was an all-day breakfast!!

khayal restaurant organize a pre-iftar sampling event and it was outstanding. the staff were cordial and accomodating.foodand beverage were overflowing and overwhelming. they served international cuisine in the buffet table for every type of craving which suites multinational visitors with diverse taste. aside from limitless arabic, indian and pasta dishes, what i love best is the chinese and japanese stations. they served dumplings, asian noodles and makisushi. truly happy tummy for me!

we visited the khayal restaurant after seeing some good reviews but it was a disaster. we went for our anniversary dinner @ 18/01/2022, i was shocked to see such a low standard in a marriot group hotel. the buffet was below average, lock of items,foodwas not hot, grills are not cooked well, more over the staff in the restaurant is not aware about their roles. only one person was available to deliver thefoodas gusts are not allowed to take food, that guy has no clue about thefooditems, we have to wait long to get items served, soft drink not included. they are taking aed 169 for one buffet and not even having the quality and verity of items sold in normal restaurants. never i recommend this restaurant ..... i will give 0 out of 5 stars. all this we informed the lady in the restaurant lobby.

i tried seafoodnight buffet which i was expecting it ll be great but it was not good as the buffet was like a maze i can’t got what i want easily!! random buffet without any seafood salad just some normal salads like taboulah , pickles and pasta salad!! very poor buffet and the fish we asked for came cold and tasteless.

we went to the iftar buffet 2 nights in a row. it was that impressive. i didn’t care to take photos because we were too busy enjoying thefoodand ambience.

two years ago i left a detailed negative review so i am not one to flatter. unfortunately, the quality went down drastically but the last two nights have proven otherwise. khayal is back with a bang in ramadan; providing a delicious variety of cuisines and excellent service to match.

an extra thank you to the staff who made the qamardeen drink. it was so refreshing! i regret not going for a second glass! if this is the quality of 2021, then we’re all going to need bigger clothes soon! well done, khayal. keep it up.

grateful to experience their wanasah family lunch last friday. khayal restaurant is a lovely place. love the interior and atmosphere also the comfortable seats. almost everything was delicious.

i did enjoyed their salad bar and the asian corner with almost everything homemade by chef ellie was phenomenal. i ate loads of rice because of their chicken stir fry and shrimp curry.

their is also a good variety in their emirati and arabfoodfrom fish to chicken to beef mixed grill.

not to be forget also their desserts. i looove the creme brulee, cupcakes are also and delicious.

i did enjoyed my wild berry mocktail, fresh juices for my daughter and dad as well as my iced coffee served by mina. shoutout as well to their awesome staff sarah and shovit.

the 25 minutes drive from our city place is totally worth it. excited to see what more they can offer after the pandemic.

family lunch is back and it's really the perfect place to spend your off day eating here thefoodand the staff will let you passion to visit this place more often

we went on a thursday evening and were very satisfied with the food. there were many dishes to choose of and i was lucky that day because there were vegetarian dishes and also fish and sefooddishes (although when we call the lady said there was only beef and chicken today. which i found really weird and we went to check it out - because i don’t eat it). my husband really enjoyed also the beef, lamb kofta and chicken. they have improved the music that was annoying. this time thefoodwas very good too!

we went there today for buffet lunch n was actually surprised to know that we had to wear masks inside the restaurant ... i went for a second helping without a mask n they send me back to my seat to wear the mask n come ... again, there were no barricades near the dessert plates n when i bent down to collect one , a staff hurriedly came to me and asked not to touch it n that they can only touch n hand it over to us ... if that was it , why didn’t you put a barricade like the ones you have put infoodcounters... i will never go again!!!

i went here for a birthday dinner with my friends last week. thefoodchoices were not that many unlike when i went here 2 years ago. the sushi station was not there, the asian section was empty, the desserts were not that plenty. the staff were all amazing and accomodating.

they are hoplessly begging to have customers after being closed for 3+ months due to covid, now they finally opened so i decided to give them a visit again, unfortunately we were told we need to wear face masks inside the restaurant!! i visited every single restaurant in abu dhabi, no one ever asked me or my friend to do so, tgi fridays, fuddruckers, chilis, etc.... even especially the ones at malls !! those guys must've really lost it, asking u to wear a mask and insisting on it when they can hardly stay in business !... so we simply arrived there, told to wear a mask even b4 stepping inside the restaurant, we said no thank u, we canceled our reservation, and headed somewhere else who are less naive and oxymoron than they r, am glad this happened coz i was planning to bring my family over, well i guess i wont... its supposed to be a leisure going there, not a costume party ! whats the point of paying 130 aed+ per adult, having lessfoodvaraities due to covid, and told to wear a mask, thanks ill just save my money then !... so i thought id share that experience for those who have a sensible taste and understanding where to go and what to do especially at those meaningless times, good luck guys staying in business 👍...

i only am giving it 5 stars because of the help of ayman the staff.. he is very well spoken and warm welcome.. he know how to communicate well.. thefoodotherwise was a disappointment as it's a hassle to wait per dish on a queue with 25% of the original menu selection.. i'd rather have a menu and order ala carre all u want better
