people, if you haven’t yet been here for their weekend buffet, you are missing out. that’s the first and foremost thing. their international food, dessert and spaciousrestaurantand excellent service by staff is worth a visit and many more. a nice place to bring visiting family and friends. love this place.

after reading all the great reviews about khayal, i decided to enjoy my day off by having breakfast their and it was certainly a great one.

when we arrived, the setup was beautiful, luxurious and very relaxing. the display of the food was simply outstanding. each food was broken down into sections and explained to us.

we chose to sit by the window to enjoy the lovely view. we were warmly greeted by the staff as well as mr. rahul, chef de cuisine.

breakfast was a feast; the buffet had everything, salads, cereals, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, fresh juices, pastries and amazing variety of indian and arabic traditional breakfast dishes as well as healthy options.

they had pancake, waffles and eggs stations that happily cook according to your preference. what pleasantly surprised me was that we had an option of ordering egg benedict too, which not many restaurants have on their live counter menu. it’s always either scrambled or omelette. we opted for the one with salmon and it tasted amazing.

the food itself was fantastic quality and the service was unbeatable. compared to all other breakfasts we have done before, this is by far one of the best for quality, variety, service and presentation. the verity of drinks also was brilliant, wish it was an all-day breakfast!!

restaurant chef de cuisine mr. rahul did a great job. the pictures speak for themselves! i highly rate khayal with 5 stars for everything. we will be back for sure.

therestaurantis very spacious with different sections for different types of cuisines: asian, arabic, indian, japanese. for breakfast they have sushi (vegetarian only) , they have a bagel corner which is unique in the uae, in the indian section they have puri bhaji, fresh paratha. lot of choice and everything was deightful. service also exceptional, the waiter even prepared for us fresh ginger lemon juice for our sore throat. one of the best in the uae

khayalrestaurantorganize a pre-iftar sampling event and it was outstanding. the staff were cordial and accomodating. food and beverage were overflowing and overwhelming. they served international cuisine in the buffet table for every type of craving which suites multinational visitors with diverse taste. aside from limitless arabic, indian and pasta dishes, what i love best is the chinese and japanese stations. they served dumplings, asian noodles and makisushi. truly happy tummy for me!

we visited the khayalrestaurantafter seeing some good reviews but it was a disaster. we went for our anniversary dinner @ 18/01/2022, i was shocked to see such a low standard in a marriot group hotel. the buffet was below average, lock of items, food was not hot, grills are not cooked well, more over the staff in therestaurantis not aware about their roles. only one person was available to deliver the food as gusts are not allowed to take food, that guy has no clue about the food items, we have to wait long to get items served, soft drink not included. they are taking aed 169 for one buffet and not even having the quality and verity of items sold in normal restaurants. never i recommend thisrestaurant..... i will give 0 out of 5 stars. all this we informed the lady in therestaurantlobby.

we had our breakfast and dinner buffet from khayal during our stay at mariott.
must admire how courteous the staffs are.
they are attentive and attending to our requests spontaneously.
the buffet foods especially the breakfast buffet have a wide spread and is amazing.
the vibe of therestaurantis really good too

grateful to experience their wanasah family lunch last friday. khayalrestaurantis a lovely place. love the interior and atmosphere also the comfortable seats. almost everything was delicious.

i did enjoyed their salad bar and the asian corner with almost everything homemade by chef ellie was phenomenal. i ate loads of rice because of their chicken stir fry and shrimp curry.

their is also a good variety in their emirati and arab food from fish to chicken to beef mixed grill.

not to be forget also their desserts. i looove the creme brulee, cupcakes are also and delicious.

i did enjoyed my wild berry mocktail, fresh juices for my daughter and dad as well as my iced coffee served by mina. shoutout as well to their awesome staff sarah and shovit.

the 25 minutes drive from our city place is totally worth it. excited to see what more they can offer after the pandemic.

during covid,it's best to avoid thisrestaurantas i had really high expectations after reading reviews about this particularrestaurantfor it's buffet options before covid.
food options are very limited and it wasn't value for money. had to order pizza as the options were very limited and the pizza was tasteless just plain dough with cheese and tomato sauce.
the only good thing that i feel is worth visiting thisrestaurantagain is the customer service experience that was delivered to me by shovik he's amazing at his work and took care of me and my friend, till we left the place and made sure even though we weren't happy with the buffet choices he tried his best to meet our additional request.

i have recently visited thisrestaurantfor a special occasion to celebrate. but it was too disappointing for us. as there was very limited options in both veg & non veg food. also the taste was not good. service was late. we had read good feedback about therestaurantso we went but realized that it’s not for the indians. therestaurantwas stinking pathetically like a fish market.
after nothing to eat we finally order pizza thinking at least we can eat it but it was nothing but pizza base and cheese..no taste at all. we asked for chilly flakes and oregano so we can at least try eating it..after asking thrice we got that by the time that pizza was cold.

we went there today for buffet lunch n was actually surprised to know that we had to wear masks inside therestaurant... i went for a second helping without a mask n they send me back to my seat to wear the mask n come ... again, there were no barricades near the dessert plates n when i bent down to collect one , a staff hurriedly came to me and asked not to touch it n that they can only touch n hand it over to us ... if that was it , why didn’t you put a barricade like the ones you have put in food counters... i will never go again!!!

they are hoplessly begging to have customers after being closed for 3+ months due to covid, now they finally opened so i decided to give them a visit again, unfortunately we were told we need to wear face masks inside the restaurant!! i visited every singlerestaurantin abu dhabi, no one ever asked me or my friend to do so, tgi fridays, fuddruckers, chilis, etc.... even especially the ones at malls !! those guys must've really lost it, asking u to wear a mask and insisting on it when they can hardly stay in business !... so we simply arrived there, told to wear a mask even b4 stepping inside the restaurant, we said no thank u, we canceled our reservation, and headed somewhere else who are less naive and oxymoron than they r, am glad this happened coz i was planning to bring my family over, well i guess i wont... its supposed to be a leisure going there, not a costume party ! whats the point of paying 130 aed+ per adult, having less food varaities due to covid, and told to wear a mask, thanks ill just save my money then !... so i thought id share that experience for those who have a sensible taste and understanding where to go and what to do especially at those meaningless times, good luck guys staying in business 👍...

iam writing this review because of the nice evening we had at khayalrestaurant, i want to insist on the service and the people there, the staff were amazing specifically mina and kevin , they did there best to make us comfortable and they did a special bbq dish for us that was amazing. the buffet was good the sweets were amazing .

we have been visiting so many restaurants and cafes lately because we are self proclaimed foodies and we simply enjoy exploring new places serving quality food. food is one thing which leaves its mark on my mind but the people serving and cooking that food leaves their impression in my heart which lasts forever. it’s the first time ever that i am going to put the names of the staff/team who has won our hearts by their innovation, skills, recipes, and warm hospitality. chef pradeep, chef eleazer, chef hamid, chef pranov, chef chao, chef sue, our server kalendra in fact every single person in thisrestaurantputs his/her heart and soul and has made it a place where we were forced by our heart to visit again within the same week.
thisrestaurantis serving theme nights dinner throughout the week. my words will never be able to do justice of the deliciousness of the cuisines they are serving with passion. we have attended their sea food special theme dinner on thursday and wallah what a stupendous dinner it was. apart from sea food they were hosting thai, arabic, indian and japanese cuisines. one of the best dish which we had thrice during our stay over there was chef eleazer’s secret recipe of thai chili hummour fish. it’s simple delectable. dessert section was rich of choices as well.
every tuesday night is a street fleet which covers street food of thai, mediterranean, japanese and indian origin. they turn therestaurantcompletely into famous streets of india in particular, where they serve pani puri, gola ganda, keema pao, cotton candy, pop corn, shawarma bites and other countless options. it’s by far the bestrestaurantfrom all aspects. definitely recommending this to my readers and i too am going there again and again. they have special discounts for kids buffet dinner apart from adults. it’s a must tryrestaurantand i bet you’d love to go there every week to try different theme dinners. i wish i could give them 6/5.

we went to dine in this restaurant, they had buffet and it is widely spread across the restaurant. i loved the biryani and the cheese collection they had. we had a good hearty dinner and it couldn’t be better without a good dessert. therestauranthad a big dessert selection, i loved the coffee ice cream and it was just too good. i love how chefs interacted with us as we went around the buffet, giving us suggestions and things to try. will surely visit again.

we visited therestaurantin at 10 octobar 2019 and it was their seafood night. it was trouble.

the buffet options was very limited. seafood soup is empty only cream. live grilled shrimp was not well done, no taste at all, you can get better shrimp at any ad restaurant. the only live cooking fish is with indian spice and is spicy. i didn't tried other theme nights, but definitely don't go in the seafood night, it is waste of money.

in addition, the desserts were made with very low quality not up to 5 starsrestaurantat all.

they offer valet parking, so it is easy to park there.
