celebrated our new year at this restaurant. gud spread caterers to all palette.
service was also gud
can accommodate large groups
only problem is way out for city people

went there for brunch. food presentation and selection is great. sushi wasn't the best but the rest of the seafood selection was very tasty, particularly grilled crab. a personal favourite was the nice selection of cheeses. desserts are picture perfect (however taste is average)

solid buffet offering with quality ingredients, but the dishes were a bit bland overall. tried the grill station (food appeared to be not seasoned very much), sushi (small but good selection of salmon and shrimp nigiri and rolls), italian section (okay but already forgotten) and asian section with thai flavor. there personally i liked the soup which was based on chicken stock with ingredients and spice levels made to order.  

the ambiance is nice and modern, the fact that the marriott al forsan is a fairly new hotel shows.

overall i think this is a good addition for the khalifa city area and for people who want to eat near the golf club nearby.

went for the lunch today with my family. everyone liked the food so much. they had all kind of cuisines with varieties of food. also staffs were super friendly. i would definitely recommend all to go and try their food and hospitality. i will definitely visit khayal again with my family.

went here with colleagues for lunch and i can say we truly enjoyed the food since we are asians craving for asian cuisine... there were japanese, chinese, thai, italian, indian, and arabic sections. loved the sushi bar (everything was fresh) and the dessert bar (they have their own recipe not only for the cakes but also for the ice cream). good ambiance. great staff. would love to come back again with friends and family!

wonderful super and value for money. we were a group of 30. all was set by the time we arrived. the best buffet in abudhabi. live cooking station, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food.

visited this restaurant for iftar with a group of colleagues. having heard a lot of praise for the iftar, we were all really looking forward to iftar. the place was very busy, which added to everyone's expectations.

the restaurant is designed as open kitchens, with various live cooking counters serving different type of food. although the menu was mostly arabic due to iftar, a lot of other choices were available which definitely made it an option for all type of palates. food was good, without being spectacular, service was friendly and attentive, although a bit inconsistent at times. the only letdown was the dessert station, which in my opinion, lacked the display and variaty as in the other counters.

overall a good buffet restaurant.

best buffet ever specially during ramadan...lot of varieties..tasty...innovative...nice view if fountain...very friendly staff

negative...they announce aed 170 but charged 204 which is 20% for additional fees..didnt like this trick

if you're looking to have a lavish iftar with your family then khayal restaurant is definitely the place to visit.

with chinese, japanese, indian and arabic cuisines and a huge spread of desserts. there's something for everyone to enjoy.

all you folks in abu dhabi must check it out soon.

a must try place for iftar,huge variety of everything,tasty food with excellent service. they have yummy desserts. highly recommended .will visit it again and again.

it was a good experience with alkhayal restaurant, delicious and variety food , i tried the buffet in ramadan was very fantastic and very good quality compare with other restaurant s , the service was excellent. i recommend to try this experience.

i visited khayal for iftar ramadan and the quality of food is very high with the crowd during ramadan. i like the design of the place and the variety of food but they dont have any food section for kids or any activities for them, also, the service is slow and not organized. i hope next time in other time than ramadan the weak points would be developed alot

went here for iftar two times already and i am booked for the third.
the buffet is quite huge and spread all over the restaurant having salad section, appetizers, grills & shawerma, sushi , chinese and a variety of arabic and indian dishes and also the ramadan must have of lamb ouzi.
the drinks are a bit limited to vimto, laban, jallab and tamr. ( but i think they do change them )
also they have a huge selection of different dates.
the sweets are great and they have kunafa, um ali, baklawa, tarts, mini cakes and delicious ice creams and they all taste great.
there was one chocolate cake that had actual kit-kat bars in it. ( nice surprise )

if you are looking for a place to have iftar in don't hesitate to choose khayal but definitely make prior reservations first.
