love the food, hate the wait. i think that keys food is good, although overpriced. i haven't had anything on the menu i don't like. however, lately when i go there for lunch the service is beyond slow. the last time i went there i went at 11:30am for lunch we didn't even get our food until 12:40 and it was cold. the waitress forgot about us after the food was served and we had to get up and find another waiter to track her down to give us our bill. we left at 1:30. that is too slow for a workday lunch. i think i will stick to running in for a delious cookie and eat lunch elsewhere.

would come here.... after i got my bodyfat checked at a local university, as a "reward" for hitting certain milestones. the reward was always their pancakes; the pancakes were big, the pancakes were fluffy, the pancakes were fresh, and the those pancakes were awfully good. i have tried numerous different toppings including strawberries and bananas and it just enhanced the taste of the 'cakes. probably the best pancakes that i have had during my 18+ years of living in minnesota. if you live in suburbia it is a bit of a drive but well worth the trip to try their breakfast at least once.

omg treats. real turkey and dressing, real italian sausage a.k.a. hamburgers made from chorizo... and to top it off, the biggest krispy treats i've ever seen, cupcakes that had a women on a flight to philly asking for a bite (no, i did not know her), and a heavenly chocolate layer cake that makes you want to skip the meal just to have room for the icing!!! no wonder i didn't eat anywhere else during my first month here!

little on the expensive side if you order breakfast drinks but other than that, prices decent. the server was awesome

i had been here last weekend for breakfast with my wife and a friend. the food is really tasty. however i am giving it a less rating is because i had ordered for scrambled egg but instead got an omelette with my sandwich. when i asked the waitress about it she did not know what a scrambled egg was. she looked at us surprised and started explaining the types of eggs that you can get and also said that a scrambled egg is beaten first and then fried. lol. i did not argue and just ate everything as i was hungry and the sandwich was tasty.

this place was meh. had the potatoes etc. and the flavor was lacking, too much cheese. place was nice and the atmosphere was great, just disappointed with the food.

brunch on sunday. corned beef hash for me. special chorizo omelette for my partner. both delicious. server was friendly and awesome. got seated almost immediately with no res, even though place was full. the homemade strawberry jam was worth it by itself!

here i am in minneapolis, minnesota in april, freezing and hungry! minneapolis has clearly not gotten the “it’s spring” memo! having left a much warmer denver at 6 am this morning, now dr. double portions (dp) has left me to fend for myself while she goes off and does some business thing that thank god i don’t have to do anymore! i love my foodie job!

clearly there are plenty of places to go in this wonderful town of foodies, and i opt for an oldie but a goodie in keys at the foshay on 9th st. so i bundle up against the cold and make the short trek on foot from the westin hotel on 6th. i’ve been to keys before with great nieces and nephews in tow and remember it to be good and sort of homey in a “welcome to our town” diner kind of way so i think, i’ll grab a quick bite. besides, i still have at least 3 hours before...

great spot for an efficient, cost effective breakfast. you can't go wrong with the breakfast classics. despite how busy they are in the am, you can get in and out pretty quickly. i come here again and again and will continue to do so.

we decided to stick to the hotel area to eat, so we ate at the keys cafe, a local chain of cafe/bakeries that serve breakfast all day! i had eggs and turkey sausage, with some sourdough and their delicious homemade strawberry jam.

disappointing. we were in from out of town and decided to have breakfast at key's cafe in the foshay building. i had eggs overeasy that were somehow watery. my partner had eggs benedict. the 'hollindaise' sauce tasted more like liquid nacho cheese you get from a stadium vendor. but the hashbrowns were by far the worst part of the meal. they were burnt but also tasted as though the grill hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. wouldn't recommend this to any visitors.

okay, we were told at our hotel this was the place to come for breakfast. so we did...twice. it was good.

their famous pancakes were amazing, their omelets were juicy, big, packed with toppings and the cheese used was great.

keys famous everything omelette
barb hunn created this one 30 years ago! three eggs w/ ham, bacon, sausage, italian sausage, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, hash browns, & cheese.

also had the keys famous caramel rolls and cinnamon rolls, so good.
