kervan kebab house

what a great find!. i had heard of a turkish place near work but until this week haven't been able to get over here. fortunately i was having lunch with a different co-worker than i normally do and we ended up trying this gem out.

i ordered the iskender plate which is beef doner served on top of a chopped pita bread smothered with tomato sauce and a side of white rice. my co-worker had the chicken shish kebab plate which is 2 kebabs, white rice and a garden salad. the wait was about 10 minutes for our food to be prepared and we checked out the imported food items they had in their store.

once the food arrived it looked and smelled asdeliciousas it tasted. portions were perfect and the price was $10 each after including the drink. all in all a great meal and i'm looking forward to stopping in again soon and trying out some more of the menu.

yum!. absolutelydeliciousand legit. my husband and i were contractors overseas and while we may not miss many aspects of that, we did miss the food! this place takes us back to wonderful memories and wonderful food! the hummus actually tastes like hummus, not the lemony crap that other so called arab restaurants serve. we are very pleased and will be back many times. the lady who works here was also very kind!

quaint withdeliciousfood. oh man, i found this place via urbanspoon and stopped by for lunch one day. the place was empty but the food was sodeliciousand i felt like the service was very attentive. i'm a sucker for stuffed grapeleaves and theirs were delicious. i only lament that i couldn't try more food while i was there. when i have a chance to go back, i'll update my review with more detail on what i ate and how it tasted,

surprisingly good. found this place doing a random web search and immediately ran out based on reviews here. it really holds up to all the kind words. the friendliest most welcoming service, small, simple yetdeliciousmenu. the best humus i have ever had in a restaurant and a kabob platter like i have not seen since visiting antalya years ago. simply wonderful food.

hidden ethic treasure of tidewater. wife and i have been to turkey, and loved the food. since coming back to tidewater, have been dying for some good mediterranean/middle east food. while pasha is great for a fusion of turkish and western food, kervan is the best mediterranean food i have had in the us. it is quaint and tiny, but the meals are the freshest, mostdeliciousmeals i have had in a while! the iskender dish was like it just came off the plane from turkey! and for the price, they are definitely one of the best deals in town!
