bengali cuisines never tend to disappoint me. thisplaceserves varieties of bengali food. i couldn't hold my excitement when we started the meal with the posto bora as starters. we ordered dhokar dalna ( which you must definitely taste ), bhetki paturi is steamed fish prepared with mustard wrapped in a banana left or kola pata which tasted purely ethnic and such good smell. how can one miss bhapa hilsha! but i felt this particular dish was average as it had more mustard and the gravy was a bit dry. mutton kosha was quite spicy and balanced the taste with a rich flavour to offer, this dish one must definitely try. special mention goes to kasturi's signature dish which was made of kochu paat and prawn, it was appetizing. lastly, had choshir payesh and nolen gurer ice-cream. nolen gurer ice-cream is made of jaggery(gur), you can only imagine how tasty it could be! 😊 i loved the ice-cream the most, a perfect ending to a perfect meal.
apart from the food, the ambience and the staff can make you feel homely. i enjoyed all the 90s music they were playing.
one of the best evening! ❤
