very nice bengali restro with excellent family ambience. food is very affordable and of high quality. a must forgoodfood lovers. do try the "mishti doi" (sweet yogurt) as dessert, better than the ice cream

food was damn good! 90% replica of the kolkata joint.goodplace. needs proper advertising i guess. my all time favorite is basanti pulaw. found it same here.

awsome and authentic bengali cuisine. starting with kosa mangsho to kochu pattah chingri..so yummilicious...you will be bound to in take extra rice from your usual diet...moonge dal will recall ur mom's preparation...everything well presented and worth enough if you really look for cuisine which give you feeling of calcutta. service guys are superb..best place to treat your own ones who cherrishgoodfood...best wishes!!!

yesterday me and my wife visited but as per the hype it was no at all satisfactory. steam rice felt like very low quality rice is being used. daal with steamed peas was without salt. mustard jolsha was ok but we ordered chicken daakbunglow which was recommended but very sorry to say what we received was not a daakbunglow and it was more a dry chicken. and more to add same was tasteless and without salt so we asked again to get it corrected.

will never visit at least in guwahati.

and to the original patent owners of kasturi if it is connected do advice them to getgoodcooks from kolkata or anywhere else to have a proper knowledge of bengali cuisine dishes.

the ambience was verygood& quite peacefull place..
the place is alsogoodfor every type of occasion.....
they have varieties of bengoli food items specially fish items.....
the price quite affordable and it's worth with the taste of food

the food was served cold with quantity not enough for a single person. charging such high rates the amount of food served is not at all satisfactory... "team kasturi" i would request you to atleast serve agoodportion for that amount of price.

tried this restaurant on my trip to north-east. amidst all the items we ordered, kochu pata diye chingri bhaapa was outstanding. i don't eat prawns as such. but this speciality of the brand left me crave for more. service isgoodand staff are friendly, they help us choose the dishes for us. prices are on higher side , but it's worth a try.

an extremely outstanding and fantastically authentic bengali cuisine restaurant in guwahati - the best i have come here so far.

for starters i had ordered the ilish bhapa, which was mind blowinggoodand aloo bhaja which was amazing too. for the main course, i ordered mutton kosha mangsho and luchi, both of which were fabulous. in the dessert, i had my favorite, mishti doi which was again out of this world.

despite this, the reason that i gave 4 out of 5 ratings is due to the attitude of the waiters which was cold, callous and turning of. the management should take better steps to match the quality of the food here with that of their hospitality, which is an eesential component of the culinary industry as well.

the place is good, the ambience, the environment, the staff. coming to the food it was awesome, the prawns and the tomato bhetki were reallygoodbut what spoiled the entire experience for me was the chicken rezala because they served us a stale dish. yes stale you heard it right. it was tasting all sour and when i enquired they said it has gone bad. i could have fallen seriously ill if i would have eaten that. they chef, kitchen staff should be careful about all this. would i recommend this place. yes actually just enquire about anything you find tasting funny or different.

good food,goodtaste, totally bengali cuisines. cost makes food not so satisfactory.goodto have lunch or dinner with family. hope to visit again in festive seasons mainly.

the place is well arranged and spacious. typical tasty unique bengali foods can be found. preparation is above average. the service isgoodwith warm smile. overall experience was good.
