you can look at all my reviews, my bad reviews are always based on bad food and bad service. if it was one off mistake it should not be dinged in the review. but karma definitely needs a jolt to push up their food quality and service.
this restaurant is just two blocks away from prometric testing center in puyallup. since my wife had her exam at prometric, we had to pick an india restaurant close by. and landed here. my experience was definitely not the best at karma.

positives :
1. they do cover a good variety of standardindianfood menu ( do not expect exotic dishes, which is pretty much the same in most of the indian cuisine).
2. only a select set ofindianrestaurants serve alcohol and this is one such place , with a good bar and accompaniments withindianfood.
3. not a very high end restaurant, so reasonable price.
4. they do check spice level with every customer in the range of 1-5
negatives
1. we ordered a mango lassi and lemonde. the mango lassi we ordered was deep yellow in color , which is so unusual. too much of added color , a single sip of it , my tongue and mouth was all yellow in color.  when asked - the simple response from them - it is just mango pulp added. definitely this is not mango lassi. the lemonade did not have any taste of lemon. the lemonade was also in drain . one good thing - they just cancelled the lassi . i have attached the picture of the yellow (mango) lassi, definitely no filters in the photo.
2. chole and poori - not the best dish to try at karma. chole was definitely not made well. the poori was so thick.
3. customer service was not one of the best, they just go by the checklist of work item , and they seem very understaffed as well which also could be the reason for bad service.
karma - bad karma ,and definitely not in my list of places to visit again.

i love you! i usually always get the tiki marsala with chicken (red based, acidic tomatoes add a sharpness to it) and saag with chicken (creamy and lots of spinach). i get both 4 star- just enough to get your nose running. i went with a friend for like my 5th time, he usually doesn't like spicy and only had a slight bose drip. i have gone with another who ordered 32 stars- cook had to witness that one, and he ate it all. he now consistently gets 22 stars and feels good with that number. naan bread is good to get in addition to the rice, used for dipping pleasure- the garlic and cilantro is good and so is the cheesy one.

no hair nets! :(. i've been wanting to try puyallups version on authenicindianfood for quite some time. i finally got a major craving and wow! i get a nasty surprise in the first couple of bites. a long curley black hair. yuck!! from what i could taste, it was under spiced and not alot of flavor either. i've had way better in olympia at mefil, try it out people.

karma inidan is good!. went for date night around 7:30pm and the restuarant was faily crowded. i was a bit surprised how bright it was inside. i know they say they light 150 candles on their web-site but the brightness made the candles fade to the background. so we sat at the bar, which was fine. the appetizers were very good. samosas (filled with potatoes and peas and spices) and the onion babji (crispy onions rolled in batter) all tasted great when you tried the sauces they brought to the table, one was a mint chutney that was to die for. hubby ordered the chicken curry which he said was very good. everything comes out homestyle with some basmati rice. we did order the vegetable rice that was loaded with every vegetable you can imagine. i ordered the mixed vegetable curry dish, that could have had a bit more liquid in it (so i could dip my onion naan bread in my meal). we were sooo full that we only ordered one drink. the cosmo. martini was a bit on the unflavorful side, plenty of booze though. one tiny complaint that i have was the waitstaff. albeit very friendly, they had one person take our drink order, one person our appetizer and food and one confused girl that didn't know who got what. i know there were only two of us, but they seemed a bit on the scattered side and could be a tad bit more professional side, especially when they talked to one another as they scooted by each other. it reminded me a little bit of being in denny's when i was younger and the waiters running around with coffee pots in their hands telling the other waitress that table #2 needs some more butter, while she's sloshing coffee in peoples cups. they should reserve their 'talk" for the kitchen. in one instance, someone came into the bar and handed the bartender a box and exclaimed how the box held more than $300.00 worth of booze. wow. eaters don't want to hear that sort of stuff. aside from these observations, the food is amazing. we will order to go as we noticed a whole bunch of people picking up boxes of goodindianfood. :)

good food great karaoke. the food at karma is delicious. probably the bestindiancuisine i have had in the puget sound area. my one complaint is the food is not spicy enough. i usually ask for 10 stars but i am a spice nut. three is pretty mild for those who are not but might prefer a little bit of heat for flavor.

pretty cool place at night too. they recently expanded and added a large bar with an out door pool table and smoking area and offer nightly drink specials and karaoke and live music. for those fans of the karaoke they have a really fun dj who has one of the better selections of music in the area.
