kanha sweets was our brunch spot, if i may. with lots of people, lots of kids, we started the day pretty late. add to that stopping to buy shoes for the child because his big toe was pushing the shoe walls a bit much and it was high time to get his shoe sized up. once we got there, it was a quick meal. the breakfast platter, came with chole and aalu ki sabzi. one bite of it with fried pooris and i realized it was more like aalu ki launji – sweet and sour dish, usually done with raw mangoes, but the taste was on point. it’s the nigella seeds that bring out that peculiar flavour.
