we liked it!. our meal was excellent! we chose the reuben and the turkey avacado club and our sides were sweet frites (sweet potato fries) and mac & cheese. the food was at the right temp and the sweet frites were amazing - wonderful flavor! our server, taylor, was very attentive. we will definitely be back to try the dessert menu! we selected kaiser's because that's where we bought some punch mix for our wedding...30 years ago.goodchoice!

i ate there. my juicy lucy was very good, as were the sweet potato fries. however, using the lintiest paper napkin i've ever seen left me covered in schmutz. notgoodfor an afternoon business meeting.

my bf and i had a girls day of shopping and i told her i had heard of this place and we should give it a try... it was fantastic! i felt it was reasonably priced, the portions were spot on and the food and atmosphere was wonderful. i ordered the tuna sandwich with the sweet potatoe fries and i am now hooked! for dessert we shared a red velvet icecream sundae and it was heaven! definitely try this place, it will surely satisfy your craving for a gourmet sandwich/burger andgoodole' ice cream indulgence.

i love this place. really cool interior with lots of the original fixtures and decor. oh the food isgoodtoo. went for ice cream treats with family. floats were great and bountiful. my wife had a new york egg cream, which has nothing to do with eggs, but was delicious. i had an egg salad sandwich, very tasty. i'll be back!!!

stick with the ice cream and burgers. avoid the rest.. i have always loved kaiser's atmosphere and ice cream. we tried them for the first time since the place changed ownership and we were very disappointed. i assume the ice cream is still the same, though we didn't try it because we left in disgust. first of all, they have different menus for lunch and dinner, so if you go there for dinner hoping to have a salad entree (like i was), you're out of luck. second, the food is overpriced for what it actually is: the same frozen and quick-cooked standard issue stuff you can get in most of the restaurants anywhere. we ordered fried pickles, i ordered the "hand-breaded" chicken tender basket with side salad (which had an upcharge) and "homemade" macaroni and cheese. my husband got a burger and fries, and my child had a kid's burger and mac and cheese. the fried pickles are the same ones you can get anywhere: frozen, pre-battered pickle spears. my "hand-breaded" chicken tenders were also the same chewy boring ones you can get anywhere. my upcharged side salad was ok except for the fact that several pieces of lettuce (roughly 1/3 of the salad) were wilted and brown. the mac and cheese was fine, but it probably wasn't "homemade." my husband and my child enjoyed their burgers; my husband said his burger wasn't greasy at all. third, when the check arrived, we were surprised at how expensive some of the items were. my boring chicken tender entree cost more than the one at irma's, and irma's chicken tenders are actually hand-breaded fresh. for some reason, my child's side of mac and cheese was upcharged. i think it's because they put in the kids meal sized mac and cheese instead of a normal side serving. we weren't told in advance that this would happen. and last, the service was decent. our waitress was very nice and tookgoodcare of us.

i'm planning on going back for ice cream some time because i've heard that it's still good. however, i'm going to avoid their regular menu aside from the burgers from now on.

insulted. forgotten. disgusted.. i went into kaiser's after hearing so manygoodthings about it. sadly that isn't the truth. the server was rude (they only deliver the food, but you have to get mustard yourself, they won't walk the five feet to get it for you).
the crew seemed crazed, running back and forth. my shake took nearly 20 minutes.
we sat by the kitchen window. my husband likes to watch his food be prepared.
we wish we didn't.
we saw the server (a young girl unable to reach the window) drop my fries on the counter, and still put them on the plate. yucko!
the worst was the conversation the cook was having. it was not appropriate. i heard him yelling and cursing at everyone around him.
once my food arrived, i no longer had an appetite.
my husband tried to eat his catfish. it was raw!! he sent it back. we heard the chef call us liars and claim that the raw meat was cooked.
we asked for our money back for the food. they offered us ice cream (which we already had ordered) instead.
we just let them keep the money and left.
it was the single-most disappointing restaurant experience in my life.

ice cream. they have changed how they make their salted caramel ice cream. it is not agoodchange. we ordered some today and it tasted like plain vanilla ice cream. blah! we will not be back for ice cream!

an institution!. this place is one of my regular spots for lunch. i've always hadgoodexperiences here and really enjoy the food. in this day and age of new new new it's nice to have a restaurant that's been around for over a century. not many places can say that! have a bison burger and enjoy the atmosphere as everything around it changes, this place stays perfectly the same.

tiny burgers. the menu for this place got my hopes up, but once i got my food i wasn't so happy. the burgers are tiny. nothing really seemed to be very fresh. they got my order wrong by bringing regular fries instead of sweet potato fries. i know that is a simple mistake, but they took my entire plate, including the tiny burger, and brought it back about 5 minutes later. my tiny burger was cold by then and everyone i was with was half done with their tiny burgers. agoodserver would have just left the plate and brought a new side of sweet potato fries that way i could go ahead and start eating my tiny burger. the sweet potato fries were actually verygoodthough.

very disappointed. this place looks fun when driving by and even better inside with it's décor and historic photos on the wall. that's where the fun ends.
it's never agoodsign in a restaurant when customers who come in after you start receiving their food. two burgers took over 30 minutes. cold fries undercooked, burger overcooked ... hockey puck, small (bill was over $20) and one burger order was wrong (no requested bacon).
i also noticed several other customers complaining and sending food back. no manager was seen. nobody asked how our lunch was. what a waste of time and beef.

senior group. our senior group went to kaiser's just before lunchtime and there was a friendly young lady who met us at the door and held the door open and had a friendly greeting for each of us. the service was excellent, especially considering how many of us there were. all the people who took care of our orders were extra friendly and went out of their way for us. everyone said the food wasgoodand the ice cream great. we will go there again as a group, i'm sure, and also my husband and i will go there again. i don't have a negative thing to say about this establishment!

didn't get the opportunity....... .....no one waited on us, or even acknowledged that we had entered the restaurant. it was about 1:30 p.m., they weren't terribly busy. sat at the bar for entirely too long, five or six workers meandering and trying to look busy...no one ever gave us eye contact, a nod or any sign they intended to take our order. we finally left, so have absolutely no idea if the homemade ice cream isgoodor not. probably not going to get a second chance from me.

good atmosphere andgoodfood. had a bison burger a little dry, stingy on the side pickle. i know buffalo meat is lean but i would have like it to be a little juicier.
