kabuto japanese steakhouse and sushi bar

good but....... i enjoyed our meal at kabuto, to an extent. the kids were entertained for the most part and the chef tried to make it fun (he could have done better.) the food was prettygoodbut at the end of the experience, felt it was really overpriced. it was crowded and the service left much to be desired. i love japanese food but prefer elsewhere, especially for that kind of money. better bet: bonsai on bridford parkway. no chef at the table, but you get the same food for about 1/3 of the price. service is excellent. hostess is nice and prompt. we'll stick w/that!

the absolute best and freshest sushi i've ever had! i eat sushi often and this spot is my favorite. it's alsogoodbecause the kids can eat hibachi while adults eat sushi!

mother's day here was not agoodexperience. we arrived 15 minutes early for a 6pm reservation and had to wait 15 more minutes to be seated. not a deal-breaker, but then it took another 25 minutes before we had water. by the time we saw our wait staff again, we had empty glasses where we had even finished the ice! it was 7pm before anyone came to cook but the cook top was on and hot during our wait and we were all sweating and quite miserable. the food wasgoodbut the bill was exorbitant. the "tip guide" on the bill was about 21% additional. really kabuto?goodfood should not be a miserable 90 degree wait and the price of gold!

our trip to kabuto was pretty good. we had excellent service and the volcano roll was delicious. the bananas are agooddessert for the end, and we enjoy them.

friendly and attentive staff,goodfood.. we visited kabuto a few weeks back for hibachi and sushi after a day of rambling around guilford county. we ordered a terminator roll and two pieces of hamachi. the hamachi was very clean and fresh tasting. the roll was very well done. the rice was perfect and the integrity of the roll was top notch.
our chef comes out to a table of uninterested tweens, their folks, and my wife and i. he did everything he could to get the kids interested in what he was doing, but didn't seem to have much luck. just the same, the food we had was good.
our steaks were cooked perfectly, we never had our glasses go less than half full, and it was an enjoyable evening. there are other options in greensboro where the prices may be lower, but i haven't experienced the same service as i did here.

meh shows,goodrolls.. the teppanyaki (hibachi) side of kabuto lacks a lot of the flair that i have experienced at other japanese steakhouses,the food isgoodyet over priced. as a result at kabuto i generally sit in the bar and order primarily sushi, which is for the most part very tasty. i mostly stick with the more americanized specialty rolls as the more plain rolls are a bit lacking at this location. the specialty rolls however more than make up for any short comings of kabuto.

kabuto staff went down hill!!. the staff is on drugs!! bad service butgoodfood!! never going back!!
