good but....... i enjoyed our meal at kabuto, to an extent. the kids were entertained for the most part and the chef tried to make it fun (he could have done better.) the food was pretty good but at the end of the experience, felt it was really overpriced. it was crowded and the service left much to be desired. i love japanese food but prefer elsewhere, especially for that kind of money. better bet: bonsai on bridford parkway. no chef at the table, but you get the same food for about 1/3 of the price. service is excellent. hostess is nice and prompt. we'll stick w/that!

the absolute best and freshest sushi i've ever had! i eat sushi often and this spot is my favorite. it's also good because the kids can eat hibachi while adults eat sushi!

mother's day here was not a good experience. we arrived 15 minutes early for a 6pm reservation and had to wait 15 more minutes to be seated. not a deal-breaker, but then it took another 25 minutes before we had water. by the time we saw our wait staff again, we had empty glasses where we had even finished the ice! it was 7pm before anyone came to cook but the cook top was on and hot during our wait and we were all sweating and quite miserable. the food was good but the bill was exorbitant. the "tip guide" on the bill was about 21% additional. really kabuto? good food should not be a miserable 90 degree wait and the price of gold!

our trip to kabuto was pretty good. we had excellent service and the volcano roll was delicious. the bananas are a good dessert for the end, and we enjoy them.

terrible after two bad experiences back to back won't go back. ordered app and sushi the waiter brought sushi and said app would be up soon. guest i was with both times ate hibachi, and while everyone was just starting to eat waiter brought checks and to go containers. never got a drink refill.

terrible. it was terrible the waiter said service was poor because they were short in kitchen we had to find drinks and serve ourself they had no probably charging 18% gratuity for the service they didn't provide. i will never come back

first sushi experience, excellent!. monday night was the first time i had been back to kabutos in many years. my date wanted me to try sushi for the first time ever. i was hesitant but it was absolutely delicious! it was the perfect atmosphere at the back of the restaurant at the sushi bar for a quiet date. we were greeted upon arrival by the owner and kim, our waitress was very attentive and helpful with the menu.
at the end of our meal the assistant manager stopped by to check on us. i will be definitely be going back soon to try the hibachi

we used to come here often til we had three horrible experiences in a row! the first i ordered filet & was brought regular steak! the manager argued with me saying it was filet!!!!!!!!!! i'm 26 & have eaten the filet there numerous times & was highly insulted about this "managers" attitude! needless to say it was three months before i returned to find that our bill for 4, went from around 60& to 80$, the shrimp gets smaller & smaller every time you go & the cooks rush so fast they either burn something or barely cook it! i will not be returning here ever again, i will drive the extra miles to arigatos!

tasty food, great environment. when you go to a japanese steakhouse, you want high-quality food and an entertaining, talented chef, and you don't want to drop your life savings on dinner. go to kabuto; you'll be happy. it is a longtime favorite of mine in greensboro. i've celebrated many birthdays and other occasions there.

yes, it's pricey but well worth it. my family and i went last night and 5 of us ate hibachi for 80 with a free kids meal. we all took home about half of our food so that's dinner and lunch the next day for 80, 5 people. not bad. great food as always. i'd recommend the filet.

i like this place. food always prepared correctly. my only complaint and the reason i don't really eat here is because they need to just throw in the towel on certain sea creatures, like red snapper. there are more sustainable options.
