management and staff have really stepped it up lately. i had stopped coming for a while but the last several times have been great. the soup and sandwiches aregoodbut its the salad bar, strangely one of the few in town, that keeps me coming back. always fresh and well stocked with great veggies, hummus, cheeses and pasta salads. keep up thegoodwork!

jason's. this is a prettygoodsandwich shop as they go. no, it's not a ny deli and it's not a mom and pop operation. it's a chain, but it's a change from the same ol' same ol'. the best part of this location is they deliver and deliver pretty far. we've had them deliver as far away as seagoville for lunch. i recommend the ny yankee and the rueben. the soups are prettygoodalso. i would call ahead because this place is always busy

tired of calorie-laden, heavy meals, our party of six adults decided to go to jason's deli for a change of pace. this location sits on a corner within striking distance of costco on a busy intersection of 1604. parking is limited and a bit strange as it angles around the shopping center. we parked and went inside to order at the counter.

jason's prides itself on fresh organic ingredients, non-gmo and local when possible. they offer low cal, vegan, organic, meatless and gluten free items--the menu is quite large and filled with interesting salads, soups, wraps, paninis and sandwiches. chili, muffulettas, chicken nuggets and desserts are also included. we tried a trip to the large salad bar, the nutty mixed up salad, a cup of organic veggie soup, an amy's turkey-o sandwich with pepper jack cheese and avocado on an onion roll, chicken pot pie soup and a quarter turkey muffuletta. once you order at the counter you're given a number and drink cups to fill at the serve yourself soda and tea bar.

all the food we tried was verygoodif not excellent; the salad full of nuts, cheese, dried cranberries and leafy greens; the sandwiches stuffed with meat and toppings; the soups mild but hot. even the tea and sodas seemed to be a cut above the usual serve yourself restaurant.

the space is clean and airy with some outside seating. prices are higher than subway but in line with other more organic places like panera bread. total for three entrees with soup or salad and a regular drink was $28.84 no tip required.

after we saw star trek beyond (good movie!) we got a bite to eat at jason’s deli, richardson location. was it consistent with the rest?

we ate: club royale w/chips, broccoli cheese soup, irish potato soup

om: for me, jd is the premier chain deli in the dfw area – been to a number of locations now and the food isgoodand they are consistent. if i were trying to convince someone to eat here i would tell them that the club royale sandwich needs to be tried, especially that buttery croissant used as the “bun” of the sandwich. i would say that they have a large dining area to accommodate large parties, and that the salad bar looks fantastic! speaking the salad bar, it’s nice that i can snack on a few graham crackers and saltines while we waited for our food. in general, i would just say that the sandwiches and soups are verygoodand the employees are friendly. if i were trying to convince someone to go elsewhere, i may say that decent sandwich places are a dime a dozen and jd’s may be perceived as replaceable with another sandwich shop. similar restaurants may include mcalister’s deli for a similar variety, potbelly which wich for the sandwich, and maybe someone like cindi’s. i enjoy the food at jd’s regardless of which one i’ve been to with my beautiful nom!

nom: i doubt anyone could go wrong stopping at jd as long as you're ok getting deli food. this one, like the others was clean. the staff was nice and the food was good. when did my stomach get picky i wonder? i used to enjoy the irish potato soup. and it was ok this time too but really got the feel of canned milk. probably me. they were nice and boxed up my half turkey sandwich so i could eat it the next day. i love going anyplace with my handsome love!!!

wow, we have been on a jason’s deli tear! this was another positive visit at what is becoming far and away our favorite deli in the area!

om: seems like i have written so much about this place, all positive…and this is going to read about the same! goodservice? check! the guy who took our order was very friendly and helpful, we’ve noticed this to be a trend at every location that we have visited. however they are training their employees is definitely working. goodgood? check! i’ve had the club royale every time, and it’s been consistently a delicious sandwich. love that buttery croissant! chicken noodle soup was tasty. i saw my beautiful nom’s kids baked potato and i ordered one too, my first time ordering this item. first, the kids baked potato was huge!!!! totally worth it. second, this thing was delicious! loaded with bacon, cheese, and a pad of butter, i loved it! i’ve never seen a baked potato where the skin was crispy! i want more of this! every location has been excellent, and the mckinney one is no exception. we need to search out more!

nom: have you ever been someplace hoping they still have something on the menu from long long ago just to have to order something and it’s a blessing that comes from a moment of disappointment? yep…that happened to me at jd’s when i tried to order the long extinct deli cowboy! does anyone else remember that delicious saucy, cheesy sandwich? i do…but now they can make a “thing” and yes i’ll keep calling it the “thing sandwich” which has shredded (ick) meat in bbq sauce. doesn’t that sound delicious? yeah, not to me either. “meat” soaked in bbq sauce…hummmmm…sounds like a middle school cafeteria thing. pass!!!! so what to eat? what to eat when your dining dreams are dashed? i know!!! a kids baked potato!!! oh, but can you add extra butter and cheese? yes please!! this potato could feed two people. two!! i know the plain jane is the size of a small charter plane but this thing is ridiculous too! anyone say leftovers? but so so so tasty…crispy skin! with a delicate and fluffy inside, tons of butter, cheese and bacon. that’s right i said it…bacon!!! holy cow, just thinking about it makes me hungry…i think my handsome love really enjoyed his too!!! winner winner!!!

mixed review but still liked it a lot!. stopped here for lunch on the way to six flags...it was agoodchoice!
reuben is great! packed full of corned beef. a little soggy, but flavor was awesome. the cuban press lacked much to be desired. instead of traditional pulled pork, it was ham and pork lunch meat. so little mustard it was unnoticed. needs a lot of work on that sandwich!
wish they had other choices for sandwich meal sides. salad bar looked fresh and delicious.
fairly clean - some tables we passed by had been bused but not wiped off well. service was spectacular for a counter order! super fast. busied up quickly at lunch time!

solid deli food. went here on a sunday night for dinner - the restuarant was quite busy, surprisingly.

nom'd - club sandwich

last time i ate at this location was well over three years ago, so i forgot what the food tasted like. service at the counter was friendly and the employee offered us a menu to look at while we decided. total cost was arounf $20 i believe, verty reasonable considering the amount of food we got. our order came out within 10 minutes.

this was probably one of the best club sandwiches that i have had and certainly within the top three. what made itgoodwas the amount of meat that was used (a lot) and everything tasted fresh. the beefeater sandwich was also excellent, again tons of meat and smothered with cheese. there's also free ice cream as well! it's not the highest quality stuff, but it's free!

jason's deli supplied some surprisinglygoodsandwiches and would recommend to others. a "like" from me.

healthy n cheap.goodflavorful selections, been more impressed with salads and soups-potpie soup is divine!- than the sandwiches-maybe i haven't ordered the right one. i had some of my husbands corned beef and thought it was kind of bland, needed spice or sauce and the bread it was on was way too thin for all that juicy meat and turned into mush. i had a chicago club and turkey-o that were just ok.

two thumbs up!!!. omg!!! absolute best ruben in the area - bar none. friendly service, minimal wait, and everything was very clean. great selection with a fantastic soup and salad bar. before i could get through half of my sandwich, management came by the table to ask if the food met my satisfaction. this place gets my top recommendation. if you can't find somethinggoodto say about jason's, then you have no taste, and will gravitate to the negative anywhere you go.
