this is the first lebanese place i ever been too and still my favorite. its a bit of nostagla, back in the uni days which was more than 10 years ago we would come here to pig out. only now on occasion we do this, prices have gone up but still cheap compared to a lot of places. quality and taste is still the same, its a must visit place, none of the jasmin's ive been to have ever disappointed me but this place brings back the memories of the good old days!!

jasmins is a simple restaurant which serves traditional lebanese cuisine in lakemba. they offer a wide assortment of middle eastern food and drinks including my favourite grandpa's ayran, a savoury yogurt drink that is extremely popular in the middle east.

i tried their chicken mixed plate three fridays ago and was impressed with the succulent, juicy and tender chicken thigh. the addictive garlic mayonnaise, crunchy falafel and tabouli salad (traditional lebanese salad comprising finely chopped parsley, tomatoes and shallots) were worthy complements in the mixed plate. my only peeve was that the chicken thigh was not served pipping hot so that i could savour the grill and barbecue chicken thigh.

it was lovely and welcoming. the owner is very attentive which is a big plus to service that they had at this restaurant. i usually don’t like lamb but this was an exception another plus was that they have free pickles and bread which is not as common at other jasmin outlets that are within my vicinity.

i was quite disappointed by the food when i ate it due to the restaurants great review. although the portions were big, service was friendly my food was lacking freshness. i had the vegetarian mixed plate and the falafels were cold in the middle. however their abundance in side dishes and sauces was really impressive!

jasmins in lakemba is one of the best lebanese restaurants i have been to by far. i've been coming here for years and the taste and serving sizes have always been good and consistent. the only thing that has changed about this restaurant over the years is the price. the mixed plates here used to be really cheap although they're still reasonably priced despite the price rise. the hummus and baba ganoush here is delicious and i love how crispy the falafels are. they always bring out fresh bread and pickles to enjoy with the meal as well as small servings for tahini and garlic sauce.
if youre ever in lakemba and looking for delicious lebanese food, jasmins is the place to go.

so many mixed plates to choose from and none of them will disappoint! i've heard people rave about this place so i had to try it myself. a very authentic experience with delicious food that can be easily shared between 2-3 people. jasmins is the place to go if you're craving lebanese food.

delicious with generous portion, i reckon it will be for 3-4 females (asian). love the hommus and garlic dip.
staff is very proactive, and food are quickly being served. ambience is fine. good to experience a lebanese signature dish.

so we heard of this place from a local resident. the price is very cheap and affordable, which is a big plus. the serving is generous. however that’s about it.. food is okay.

i was very hungry that day, and my mouth immediately began watering when the rich aroma of spices and fat from the lamb shawarma ($13) hit me. this was everything i wanted – the meat was smoky and tender, flavoured lavishly with lemon and spice. wrapped in pita with pickles, tabouli, and garlic sauce, it made for a mean diy kebab.

there are many lebanese restaurants with 'jasmin' or similar variant that it gets a bit confusing. this place is not affiliated with them.

my overall impression of this place is that it is good value. i tried the mixed platter and also the fattoush. the standouts were the lamb shish and the fattoush. the other items in the mixed platter were average, but their garlic sauce and the grilled chicken is not as good as other places.

they are very generous with the serving sizes and gave plenty of bread, pickles, onion, tomato and mint to accompany the dishes.

i'd be interested to return to try their shawarma and their tawouk.

the wall and ceiling decorations were very cool.

love love love it here! our go to place for lebanese or when we’re in the mood for takeout because their food is great and prices are so cheap. major bonus having uber eats so they deliver the goodness straight to your door! falafel is amazing as well as their chilli chicken!
