can't beleive how rude the man was thr was there!!! very disspointed and will never be coming back. the man that works there yelled at my little sister coz she picked a little flower. if they don't want children going into the garden then don't make it avaliable to them put a fence around it or something. thecoffeewas also burnt as way tooo hot!!

great location and terrific service - came with a large group and all of our meals were generous, fresh and tasty. the burgers get a special mention for their authenticity . the only downside was that i ordered a decafcoffeeand received a full strength that made me hyper for the afternoon - toilets were clean and spacious

went here on sunday afternoon with the family forcoffeeand here's how it went:

food: we only ordered cake andcoffeeand the cake (pecan slice) was beautiful. the only complaint was that it was too small..... lol. the coffees were hot and tasty. kids shared a milkshake and it was served in an old school metal cup and was a blast from the past.

service: terrible. the lady that took our order was very grumpy and rude, she didn't want to be there. it probably took 15 - 20 mins for 2 x coffees, 1 x shake and a piece of cake to arrive. we had to complain as others that ordered after us got theircoffeeect before us. not good.

price: shocking. 2 coffees, 1 x cake, 1 x milkshake, 1 cookie equals $30. pathetic!!

ambiance: very nice.

overall: this place has terrible service, is overpriced but has good food. would i return - don't know. 6/10

has here on the weekend for a late lunch. thought it might be better then eating at the tavern.... wrong. lunch bar quality food with a cafe price tag. service was extremely slow and rude, and it wasn't even that busy.coffeelooked good but tasted burnt. gardens were well kept by a friendly yards man but the whole experience was killed by the rude counter staff.

nice looking place but i would never stop there again. these guys did so many things wrong but the worst was the my per hate. when a customer places an order the person at point of sale, if they have half a brain, should let the customer know if there is going to be a long wait. this enables the customer to make a decision of whether to go ahead or find and alternative place to eat that would suit there time frame. in general people are happy to wait for food if they know up front of the estimated time frame. 40 minutes for our coffees and 50 minutes for food is un acceptable. the place was not even that busy. when our coffees $4.50each came out they were burnt. tasted like instantcoffeewith milk throth on top. we ordered two cheese burgers with chips for my wife, 3year old and i to share. when they did finally come out they had put mayonnaise in them. my wife, being pregnant, can't eat mayo so went up to the senior looking person behind the counter and asked if she could get another burger because she was pregnant and the menu never said anything about mayonnaise. the hag behind the counter went into defensive mode and said "that's not our problem. we are not going to just make you another burger. you will have to wait in line for the other orders in front of you". so we demanded a refund and my pregnant wife had to go without. wile i ate my burger i could hear the staff behind me saying" why did you give her money back, it was her fault". i have never in my life had such bad service. this place should be shut down. over priced poor quality meat patty burger.

always fantastic. the quality of product used in there food is absolutely fantastic, the staff are aso friendly and setting is tranquil. this place is real gem andcoffeeis great.

have tried most things on the menu and nothing disappoints.

b for brilliant. this place has become one of our little favourites,
pretty simple fare, burgers etc, but it's not hard to get that wrong.
much nicer fare than the cafe on the dam for example.
it's not licensed, but a soft drink or an ice cream is okay, thecoffeeis always good. it's always consistently good, never had a bad meal here and we've been a few times now, have the same thing, the jarrah burger!
i appreciate quality, and this place will do well.
