i would definitely return here. especially for the great service!!!! we live in new braunfels where service is subpar so eating at a place that made us feel comfortable was such agoodfeeling. the sushi was fresh and filling and our plate was fresh and yummy (chicken terryaki, veggies and fried rice)

delicious,goodpresentation, nice staff, professional. we had the shrimp tempura roll (soy wrap, since i can't do seaweed) and it was fabulous. teriyaki beef is great. yakisoba very nice too! my 4 year old was gobbling up the teriyaki beef and fresh veggies! yum! oh, and fried rice is excellent!

we were in town for a wedding and looked for a place to eat after checking into our hotel. we came here and ordered a lot! i love the nigiri sampler. but my dad didn't like the spicy tuna roll. he's half japanese and doesn't like these odd variations. but the food wasgoodand the service was too. just be sure to bring a sweater; it's freezing in here. :)

reallygoodsushi for sm. i love japan latino! before this restaurant opened there was only kobe which was awful. at japan latino the fish is always extremely fresh and the rolls are so yummy and creative. there are always new specials and rolls every time i go in and they are the best combinations of fish and ingredients that i would never have thought of. the owners are super nice too and remember you if you go there often. i really like japan latino for a sushi place in central texas. it has a nice romantic atmosphere and is always a please experience. the only thing is bad location. it is a bit hard to see and find the first time since its right off the interstate.

had 5 rolls all delicious! cucumber paradise really unique; if you dont like crab then the ninja rollgoodalternative to sex on the beach. tempura banana and plum ice cream are both verygoodtoo. :d

excellent all around.goodservice. clean place. fresh food that is done just right! we had (& recommend) the tender tataki appetizer, a tokyo roll, the ocean scallop entrée, (came with fresh & delicious vegetables!) house salad, the onion soup was awesome, and the chicken/beef combination entrée was excellent as well. we were so impressed! why can't all restaurants be at this standard?!

loved it!. i've tried kobe and the sushi was mediocre at best. i like this place for several reasons. 1) a huge variety of sushi choices from special rolls like the sex on the beach (yum) to basic rolls like the cali, philly, and spider, to nigiri and sashimi style sushi. 2) the service is exceptional.. always ask for suggestions. these kids know whats up. 3) they have grill items like chicken teriyaki chicken and beef to steak and shrimp. all around agoodplace to eat. i kicked places like kobe to the curb a long time ago.

good sushi!. what a great little find this place was! just off ih-35, the location is odd, but the food is excellent! sushi was reallygoodfor san marcos?! way better than hong kong or kobe. everyone should give it a try, i would love to see a local restaurant make it in this town!
