wing night.... i have had a few really good wing nights at jameson's. the staff have been really friendly and willing to rearrange tables, etc. even though it's always crazy-busy. the wings are some of the best i have had -- good sized, always cooked perfectly, and with minimal strange vein-y bits!! i think they actually use "high-quality" chicken on wing night! i recommend the salt and pepper, and not to bother with the boring overpriced vege platter (which can be expected of any pub on wing night)

i went here late in the eve after work to meet up with a friend for her birthday party. i wasn't overly hungry but snackish and ordered the poutine. i found it a bit overly salty but pretty much with out much flavor. also they made some geographical errors when writing the menus to list where their beer was from. if i do recall correctly they had fruli listed from italy when its clearly a belgian beer, and i think it was new castle they had listed as something else other then south african. the customer service was good and the lady we had was very good at handling the other drunken customers and humored me when i complained about the obvious mistakes even though she personally has no say in the menus. i like it for what it is but not smoothing i would ever go out of my way to go to.

been going there for 5 years with a group of 8 friends for wing nights, last wednesday was the last one. quality has steadily declined both with food and service, they do not seem to properly train their staff. wings are cold and dry, no flavor. waitress keeps charging us regular price for pints ordered during happy hour, then claims nothing she can do, tired of always having to ask for the manager, good bye!

should have known better than to get mexican food at an irish pub! decent drinks and the waitress was nice; but the food was bland and they used basmati rice when the menu clearly said mexican rice. not all rice is created equal! it's your standard wings bar. that's about it.

this was my first time patronizing jamesons pub. i ordered fish 'n chips for take-out, and i won't be back. had to push through crowds of people to get to the bar where i was told over the phone that the bartender would ring in my order. once there, 5 barely legal barmaids gathered by the till yapping about i-don't-know-what, and not one of them even acknowledged me (or the much older woman who came in behind me.) the bartender was clearly busy, which was acceptable as it was a saturday night... he was literally flying back there! i waved at him to grab his attention, and he acknowledged me. then it took another 10 minutes to get my food and ring me in, all the while i was having an unplanned aerobics workout jumping out of the way of staff running in and out of the kitchen. (seriously, there was nowhere for me to wait for my order except in that heavy traffic area.) all i could think was, "this better be good". i finally got my food, and the bartender was lovely... friendly, and apologized for the wait. i got home and eagerly opened my meal, but was quickly disappointed to see the miniature portion: two heavily battered, dripping in grease, mini portions of fish, and exactly 22 little french fries. they didn't even give me a single regular sized fry! (or coleslaw, which i found hard to believe because i've never in my life known of a place that didn't serve slaw with fish 'n chips.) oh, but my meagre order did come with a 2oz container of ketchup and another 2oz container of "tartar sauce", which, on closer inspection, amounted to some mayo with a drop of relish mixed in.) all-in-all, i was extremely disappointed, and i won't be back for take-out, and won't even give them a chance at dine-in. zero value for your hard earned buck.

i'm scared to go back. met friends for a drink here and the waitress yelled at one of us because she brought the wrong beer. i felt like i was in the principals office.

its a pub, on 17th.. nothing new to see at this one. can't complain about my experience. food was fine with no mistakes (had a burger), service was good. the hi-light was watching this loner on speed frantically alternating between checking up on his young pitbull and chatting up half the patio.

it is a very nice pub, but the sensitivety of the staff is very questionable. mild banter is taken very seriously, so be careful of the mellenials feelings.

hey folks, i've been to jameson's several times, and it's usually been ok, you know, average food ... but this was the first time i've ever had the bison burger ... and man oh man, it was awful ... i'm 60 plus, so i've been to the rodeo before, as they say, i've had burgers all my life ... but this was the first time i had one that tasted bitter and awful ... i forced myself to eat half of it, then gave up ... and when the server came around, i complained, but she downplayed it, saying it was likely the cranberry sauce(?) ... at that point, she did nothing to try to rectify the situation ... i could have made a big fuss, escalated it, but i had a few beers and my friends and i were having a good time -- i didnt want to upset the evening ... so here i am at home, with an awful feeling in my tummy, hoping the bison isn't planning on revenge ... worse yet, i'm hungry! ... and we spent $100 in this joint! ... look, this is an ok place, the servers are all nice and friendly, even tho a bit youngish -- just don't order the bison ... and if there's an nfl draw, make sure your waitress gets you an entry form -- ours didn't, so we missed out on the draw for a free jersey ...

went into jameson’s today with 5 friends to celebrate a birthday and was served by bella f. she was fantastic. she was extremely attentive and friendly. i’m not sure if she was part of management but she acted very professional. she was also lovely to talk to. food is always great and was happy to get a student discount.

i’ve been to jameson’s multiple times now, and every time is okay. very average pub, but my friends and i usually go due to the cheap food and drink specials! the last time i went was sunday morning for the brunch, we notified our server we were in a slight rush. she took her sweet time to take our orders, and hand them into the kitchen. we all ordered the same thing, eggs benny, after sitting there for an hour, we kindly asked for our food to be packed to go. they packed up our food, but did not include napkins or cutlery. the eggs were cooked wrong, the food was soggy and the hollandaise was gross.
this trip ruined my experience, i will not be returning.

i had dinner at this place a couple of weeks ago while in the area on business.
it’s your prototypical irish pub, but it doesn’t suffer from that. the feel is warm and inviting, very open, lots of woods (and loud). service was very good - quick to be seated, quick for drink and food orders, quick enough from the kitchen. no complaints.
the menu is common pub fare - pub classics, finger foods, burgers & sandwiches. our group had a reasonable cross section from the menu- salads, soups, entrees and daily specials and everyone was satisfied with the quality of the food. portions are on the largish side without being cartoonish. the food was well prepared and good without reaching great status. the place also has a good sized beer selection with a good variety of options and tastes.
price wise it’s what you’d expect - neither cheap nor expensive, just as n line with other places of its ilk. i liked it, and i’d come back if i was in the area in the future.

super sad this place decided to take away their buck a shuck! i loved coming here on thursdays! still love the atmosphere and ambiance! will go back!

we ordered a party platter ($33) which consisted of calamari, sausage, dumplings, wings, riblets and vegetables. i wanted hot wings but rascal and ayecaramba are wimps when it comes to spice. tread lightly asked for hot sauce on the side, cuz he’s a problem solver.  for the riblets, the consensus minus my opinion was greek-style seasoning. i thought it was a bit odd that the platter came in a baking sheet. i noticed the nachos arrived on a baking sheet as well.

what a fabulous pub.  lot's of specials on food and drink. you should be able to do quite well, even at popular times like friday/saturday evening with the deals they have on.  the environment is very pleasant and the service staff was attentive.  price and quality of the food was fantastic.  although i didn't have it, they have a chocolate cake that they claim will feed 3 or 4 people - they're not lying.  i think i counted 7 layers and it was at least 6" across the back of the cake.  looked delicious.  i had the shepherd's pie.  a good helping of home-made quality food.  and it came with some glazed root vegetables on the side.  my friend enjoyed his steak sandwich.  what's not to like?  i'll definitely be coming back next time i'm in this area of town.
