wing night.... i have had a few really good wing nights at jameson's. the staff have been really friendly and willing to rearrange tables, etc. even though it's always crazy-busy. thewingsare some of the best i have had -- good sized, always cooked perfectly, and with minimal strange vein-y bits!! i think they actually use "high-quality" chicken on wing night! i recommend the salt and pepper, and not to bother with the boring overpriced vege platter (which can be expected of any pub on wing night)

been going there for 5 years with a group of 8 friends for wing nights, last wednesday was the last one. quality has steadily declined both with food and service, they do not seem to properly train their staff.wingsare cold and dry, no flavor. waitress keeps charging us regular price for pints ordered during happy hour, then claims nothing she can do, tired of always having to ask for the manager, good bye!

should have known better than to get mexican food at an irish pub! decent drinks and the waitress was nice; but the food was bland and they used basmati rice when the menu clearly said mexican rice. not all rice is created equal! it's your standardwingsbar. that's about it.

we ordered a party platter ($33) which consisted of calamari, sausage, dumplings, wings, riblets and vegetables. i wanted hotwingsbut rascal and ayecaramba are wimps when it comes to spice. tread lightly asked for hot sauce on the side, cuz he’s a problem solver.  for the riblets, the consensus minus my opinion was greek-style seasoning. i thought it was a bit odd that the platter came in a baking sheet. i noticed the nachos arrived on a baking sheet as well.

love the setting, it's as close to an authentic irish pub as it gets in ctown. beautiful wood work, cozy booths, some have tvs. food is decent -- i wish it was more authentic but it's a common complaint. i've spent time in the uk and i know what authentic pub food is -- chickenwingsaren't. that said we went on mussels night. over cooked -- i'm not expecting gourmet -- but the price was right and they hit the spot.

great pub. this is my calgary go to, decent out food, have always had great service and doubles as a decent sports bar as well. really enjoy the atmosphere there and is just a generally welcoming place with good people

cheapwingson wednesday, best i've had yet anywhere in town. will be back and great service

been coming here for a couple years, and except for one anomaly, the service has always been absolutely great. always friendly and attentive. the food is exceptional for pub food. sometimes on wednesday's thewingscan be a little less than stellar, but you'd have to be an idiot to expect fresh, perfectwingsevery time when they're doing that much volume. always a great experience. keep it up!!

it works for me. whenever my friends want to grab a few beers and get some wings, we always find ourselves at jamesons. beers andwingsare what we normally only go for. we've never tried the other food there so i can't comment on that. besides the long wait to get in sometimes, we've never had a bad experience. our orders came in good time and the waitresses who've served us have all been really sweet. we'll probably be here many more times in the future.

not very irish. i was there this last tuesday night and tried their dry ribs on special. all they are are tiny cut up pieces of regular porkchop tossed in various flavors that theirwingsare. kind of dry to be honest. the service was friendly but wow, the -seriously- loud dance and rap music that was being played was awful. on a tuesday night it was strange and i felt bad for all the poor people over the age of 30 there that didn't look too impressed by it either. the owner wants it to be a night club obviously..for 18 yr olds with bad music taste...it has a beautiful interior but still not a comfortable place to have a beer and chat with friends.

great wings. beer is great and wednesday wing nights are even better--25 cent wings. the salt and pepperwingsare a simple treat. we went here for game 6 of the stanley cup, and the atmosphere was great. despite it being busy, our server was never too busy for us. overall one of our favorites.

great pub!. i love this place and i am very excited for the new location! bestwingsin calgary (wednesdays) and best deep fried pickles too!
grand opening for their new location is on november 15th and i will be there!

this place discriminates.. me and 3 of my well dressed friends just wanted to have some drinks andwingson a typical wednesday night as stressed out university students.

i were promptly seated by the nice hostess. we were then greeted by a white late 20's waitress. she took our drinks and came back rather slowly we then placed our orders for wings. thewingstook longer than usual, as we patronize this pub quite often.

they only came after we flagged her down and asked her where our food was. after that, we wanted some water and a few more pints of beer. she then wanted to charge my friend for a glass of water.

as an establishment that serves alcohol and especially to paying customers, how could they in their right minds have a policy to charge for a glass of water?!

which lead to me believe we were simply being discriminated. i am not that sensative when it comes to this, but the table next to us then asked for water and they had no problems. they were all white young adults around our age as well.

the sub-par food, the expensive drinks, (7$ for a jack daniels with coke?), and now racially discriminating waitresses?
