thecafedidn't look the best visually as compared to most cafes i've been to in brisbane but don't let its mediocre appearance mislead you. jacaranda coffee lane stands out as a asian fusion-inspiredcafethat serves plenty of unique and original dishes.

the presentations of our crab omelette ciabatta and tasmanian scallops on sweet potato fritters were absolutely impeccable and looked amazing forcafestandard. both didn't disappoint in taste, they were super delish.

my friend feels that the matcha latte is a bit too sweet. as for my mocha, it was smooth and enough of chocolatey goodness.

service was impressive. the service staff would come by occasionally to make sure we're alright with our meals and if we needed anything else. we were even served a free fruit dessert to end our meal! everything was spot-on, this definitely won't be my last visit!

my wednesday starts at west end - already knowing where i'll be dining for breakfast, i enjoy my stroll; passing fruit markets and other early bird cafes :)

good morning jacaranda coffee lane, another new establishment that offers you breakfast foods, muffins, cake slices, espressos and smoothies. arriving at thecafeapprox 9:50am, there were no customers (yet). i walked towards the counter and was acknowledged by a friendly staff who asked me if i was 'looking to take away or a table'. table of course and i was gestured to grab a seat anywhere.

jumping straight into foods, i went with their smoked salmon tartare on rye w/ poached eggs, ribbon cucumbers w/ wasabi&dill mayo, avocado salsa and citrus creme fraiche. my usual flat white on side :)

breakfast - let me start with poached eggs (cause that's the first thing i like to test out 🍳) nice and runny! avocado is always a love for me and when it's mixed with salsa it's even better. as per the ribbon cucumbers, i couldn't really taste the 'wasabi', the mayo was there though. together, was a light and enjoyable meal.

coffee - unfortunately, the coffee was rather weak for me and only served warm. (the staff asked me how the coffee was and i told him 'it's not bad, but next time i should ask for an extra shot' 👌🏻) couple minutes later, he came back to my table with an extra shot - 'this is for you' :)

so, to the staff there who may read this review, you have just gained a returning customer :) i appreciate your gesture, it was very kind of you!

i look forward to trying more items on the jacaranda menu as well as requesting for my coffee to be extra hot ☕️ friendly and polite staff :)

extremely tasty dishes, amazing presentation of food, nice coffee and fancy drinks, outstanding customer services as well. this is definitely one of the bestcafefood i have ever had, and i will keep coming back.

innovative & extremely tasty dishes, huge portions, great pricing, great drinks, amazing service every time...what more could i ask for?

the decor of thiscafeis kind of random and very unassuming, though cosy and welcoming.

note that the asian-fusion dishes all skew pretty sweet, i would ask for less sweet if that’s not your thing.

thecafedoesn't look like too much, especially walking past from the outside but after the great reviews on zomato and trip advisor we thought we would check it out.

portion size was great, food was tasty, and the coffee was excellent. the small fruit bowl with popping candy and cream was an unexpected but welcome gesture as well. i would highly recommend this place.

this is a terrific spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch or coffee. we stopped in for lunch on a busy sunday and really enjoyed our meals and coffee. the staff here are super friendly, the food is well-cooked and beautifully presented and the coffee is excellent!

excellent coffee
this newcomer to the west endcafescene produces a smooth and flavoursome coffee. the cakes were lovely (plated up with care and attention) and the service friendly and attentive.

have heard so many good things about thiscafeand it did not disappoint me with food and drinks quality. however, the staff who served us was a trainee and she was a bit rude. it was fine that she made mistakes because that’s how everyone learns. but when we told her she got our order wrong, she pulled a very annoyed face like she wasn’t in the wrong.

excellent service, i had the mapo tofu and wife had the crab omellete. i can understand why thiscafeis popular, food was excellent and great vibes.

kung-fu mapo tofu ($15.50) - 4/5

thiscafedeserves maximum points for creativity as it takes contemporary brunch dishes and adds an asian twist. the fried tofu and dumplings were delicious as they were beautifully fried and perfectly crispy. the pork floss was an excellent touch and complements the dish well.

on the flip side, the sweet chilli sauce was overly sweet which ended up overpowering other elements of the dish. the egg noodles were also bland and quite disappointing - i felt that they would have been much better stir-fried and seasoned. overall, this dish was innovative in being able to fuse a classic asian dish with western cuisine, but the only letdown was the execution of a few of the elements.

expectations are immediately high when you go to the highest ratedcafein the greater area. food was exceptional matched by the service and warmth offered by the staff. highly recommend 👍

came here for lunch and was given a warm welcome by the staff. i placed my order for the crab omelette and a black sesame latte. the latte was done really well, with attention given to the latte art as well as the flavour. the black sesame flavour was really strong and earthy, i thoroughly enjoyed it. the crab omelette was creamy and fluffy and the serving size was generous. i liked the potato-wrapped prawn that gave the dish some crunch. its a really greatcafethat i'll come down to visit again to try more of their dishes and drinks.

came across thiscafeunder 'recommended cafe's' that was down the road and it definitely did not disappoint. i ordered the salmon benedict croissant - which was perfect! creamy hollandaise sauce and generous portion size.
my partner ordered the big breakfast plate with bacon and chorizo - fluffy and perfectly scrambled eggs, generous servings and delicious chutney.

both our meals and coffee was very enjoyable, we were also handed a cup of fruit as 'dessert' which i thought was really nice! what topped the experience off was the customer service, all the staffs working there was so nice, friendly and welcoming.

delicious! jacaranda coffee lane is a littlecafealong one of west end’s main streets. it’s not very flashy or eye catching but don’t let its outwardly looks deceive you - thiscafeserves amazing dishes, many of which are asian-inspired.
the wait for the food to come out wasn’t very long at all and everything came out very well presented.
extremely friendly and welcoming service - staff are always smiling and very lovely!
a little complimentary cup of fruits and whipped cream with popping candy is also served after the meal, which is a great feature. this small gesture goes a long way and makes customers feel valued.
highly recommended when visiting west end!!

a nice petite asian/western stylecafeand restaurant. loved the combination of asian and western food. we ordered a crab omelette and a kung fu tofu. the crab omelette was so tender and the prawns on the side were so crunchy, which was a nice touch to the tenderness. the sauce on top just took the whole dish up a level and did not overshadow the freshness of the crab at all. it was a long time since we have been last time, but i’m thinking about going back sometime soon. just miss the taste!

this is my first time trying this cafe, and just like i thought the food is excellent !!! the staff is super friendly, service is very good and quick. for me i think this is one of the best brunchcafein brizzy
