don't let the name fool you!. very good food suprisingly affordable for the quality and quantity of food. service is excellant from the wait staff to the back of house. food is served prepared perfectly and right on time.greatfor a chain restaurant.

good food good service. we really like this restaurant. it hasgreatfood (love the burger and the chicken strips and the salads...most everything). we really appreciate the service here....most other restaurants should visit here and take notes.

not impressed. i have been several times b/c so many friends rave about it. each time i felt my food was average. for the price i expected better. the atmosphere and the creme brulee isgreatthough.

rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes was delicious! loaded potato soup also very good.!very attentive waitress.greatatmosphere. will be returning!

my go to spot for agreatmeal with fresh ingredients. i have never been disappointed witht this place. everything here is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for a night out with friends, a night out with your lady, or even a business lunch. highly reccomend!

starts with first impressions on our first visit and that set the tone for the rest of the visit. one word for everything, great, service, decor, price, portions, flavors. potato & bacon soup of the day was very flavorful. the grilled artichokes were some of the best. the prime rib was cooked to perfection, very tender and moist with agreatseasoning package. our server was thallie and she wasgreatas well

fantastic service at the bar. very friendly withgreatcocktails. highly recommend the artichoke as appetizer and red fish as meal followed by the worlds best carrot cake!!

dog friendly!!. i love this restaurant! the food is okay, but what makes itgreatfor me is that on nice days, i can take my dogs!!! the wait staff brings out water for my dog and are so kind. be sure and enjoy the wonderful weather with your four legged friends!

dissappointed with my last vist. my husband and i generally like j alexander's restaurant, however...when we decided one day to take a client and his wife out, we were highly displeased. i spent so much time talking about howgreatthis place was, about the service being fantastic and how amazing the shrimp is, i even suggested that our client try the steak maui, because of how awesome it is. so i was completely mortified and utterly embarrassed when we realized we has a slow server, and no one helped her with our table which i found odd because usually when we go everyone pitches in to satisfy the guest which is something i loved about this place. then the server told us they were out of fried shrimp!!!! i was so mad, i was really looking forward to their fried shrimp because its the only fried shrimp i like....but to top it off, my steak maui and the client's steak maui were just high dollar pieces of fat. i'm so embarrassed, i was really counting on j's to help me make an impression but all that happened was i ended up paying $200.00 for service quality and food that wasn't half as good as the hooters down the road...

no complaints. i have been coming to this place since it first opened in the mid-nineties. its decor is still quite stylish after 20 years. i like coming here for drinks. when i do have something to eat, it usually is at the bar (you don't have to endure any screaming brats). last night was no exception. the bartender (i think her name was holly) was very friendly and entertaining. i ordered a bottle of the st francis cab and the danish baby back ribs. the best part of the meal was the cole slaw which was exceptional . i really need to come to this place more often. it has good food andgreatservice.

the food was very good. i had the filet mignon and baked potato. it was melt in your mouth good. service was good. i went with a party of 16 and they did agreatjob with it. it was kind of loud, but this is definitely worth a stop at.

always good. first for someone to say you can not pick your sides here is just crazy. i eat here often and always pick my sides. i have found the service here to be the best in town and food is always good and to order. tried ruth chris and i will not go back, poor service and food not near as good as here at j's.
