nice surprise. after seeing a mixed bunch of reviews on this place i tried it myself. i found it to be very good.servicewas friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable, and a little upscale without being stuffy at all. the food was good, and despite them being busy it didn't take too long. the beer list is very extensive and has some great uncommon options. we were in the dining room on the second floor, but the bar also looks like a decent place to grab some drinks. there are a few other places in jersey city with a very similar layout, but this is the only one which i really liked.
