visited ingredients for an iftar buffet, theme was emirati, middle eastern and international...we enjoyed the salads section only...we did not like range and taste of main course that much, although ambience and service was nice. it was not worth it of 185 per person...

we visited the anantara for a birthday stop over in abu dhabi. the service is exceptional and the rooms are spacious and modern. breakfast is served in the ingredients restaurant with an enormous selection of food from asia to the traditional english fry up. definitely a must if you are in the area.

we celebrated our wedding anniversary at the anatara in abu dhabi. our room had a glorious view and we were well relaxed in the beautiful weather.

the following morning we headed down to a beautiful spread of breakfast and we ate to our hearts content.

i ordered a vanilla and cream waffle that was freshly prepared. it was nothing like i have eaten here before. we ate everything that was on display from eggs, bacon, toast, cheese, fruits etc. as we were one of the few at the breakfast table we also
got the undivided attention of the helpful staff. we enjoyed the various fresh pastries, pots of tea and coffee gulped down the cool fresh juices.

our speak mention of appreciation to the manager on duty who was very energetic and got us our orders quickly! (the waffles yay!)

all in all, our stay at anantara was amazing thanks to the staff and breakfast.

dinner: average with limited selection. the way that the food sections are scattered are a bit confusing. however, the sea food grills were delicious and i highly recommend.
breakfast: the place is full of sun light, great selection of breakfast dishes. eggs menu is top, and out of both times, mark (staff) just simply made the day for us.

after we got settled in our table, mark and i started to check the buffet spread. the desserts section, strategically located just right after the entrance of the restaurant, was a perfect concept as it allures guests to crave more for what the big brunch has to offer.

it's as if the choices are endless. there's a wide selection of desserts from candies, chocolates, and cakes, to macarons, chocolate fondue, and traditional pastries and sweets. the kid in me got overjoyed upon seeing this sweet exhibition!

the big brunch features international flavors from five show kitchens specializing in thai, chinese, arabic, and italian cuisine. guests can start off with a selection of freshly baked breads, and a variety of cheese and wines, then explore the wide range of organic salads and antipasti. guests may also choose to devour the freshness of food at the live sushi station before delving into an assortment of roasts at the carvery station. there's also a section where you can choose fresh meat and seafood and have them cooked according to the chef's specialties.

the lamb shank was divine! it was succulent and fork-tender. it's bursting with flavors in every bite. the lamb chop didn't pale into comparison. the tarts and chocolates were heavenly!

i've been to a number of restaurants serving buffets, but this has got to be the best and the most extensive buffet spread that i have ever seen and experienced. the big brunch wasn't just called 'big' for nothing! it is indeed the best place for an awesome degustation. and i must say that all other buffets will have a hard time in dethroning the big brunch at eastern mangroves in my top buffet list!

ingredients is the perfect place for breakfast/brunch over at the eastern mangroves. the overall appearance and ambiance of the place is amazing, light and airy. the selection of food is good and there's something for everybody to choose from with their international offerings of arabic, asian, european and american cuisine. the hot drinks though are not really as warm or as hot as one would've expected but otherwise, everything was fresh and good from the bread, to the vegetables and fruits, which isn't always the case for most places that try to capture and please guests with food and dishes from more than one or two selections.

the buffet spread was so extensive i seemed to feel full and drooled just by seeing the whole spread. i can't even decide what to have first. the tart was heavenly! the combination of sweetness and tang from the fresh berries were a perfect blend with the mildly sweet cream mixture. the crust and meringue kisses also added texture to this heavenly treat.

just been here for iftar. the food selection was really extensive, good variety and excellent quality in the same time. something rarely met in the city
. we used mostly their salad offerings with different dips and sides, have to tell you, 100% satisfied! not to mention the variety of fruits, fruit salads, and all kind of traditional and international desserts! they were to die for, at least the ones we tried.. they also offer loads of dried fruits and nuts. ambient is very friendly but classy in the same time, with spacious rooms to accomodate big group of people. despite the place being almost full, we were not distracted at all by others around us. excellent dining choice, we'll be back soon!

rarely am i so satisfied with a meal. tueaday is asian night and it was spectacular. 100% genuine asian food, 100% asian beers such as kirin, singha, asahi, etc.. loved it and highly recommended

if you look for a good buffet breakfast in abu dhabi with a big variety and a nice view this is the place to come to. lovely decor and ambience and staff very attentive.

nice place to visit in abu dhabi...the back water view along the pool i just amazing...as far the restaurant i happen to hv their lunch buffet...wide spread...sushi counters..thai food...pasta live counter...custom made soft drinks..lots and lots...nice ambience...and lots of desserts...vfm...enjoy the lunch if u happen to b there...

one of the worst resturant i've been to , the service was really slow and we waited for hours for our food to arrive . and after hours of waiting my sister got a burned pizza !! . based on the service and food i would not even give it a one star resturant quality .

i was surprise when i saw ingredients popping up as the list of restaurants that i have rated but not written a review on coz i remember clearly writing a very detailed review on ingredients right after i visited them (which is now months back). i have no clue how it got deleted from zomato! however, since ingredients is one of those rare places which gives you lifelong memories, it isn’t hard to rake my head to write about them again.

i have had the pleasure to stay at anatara eastern mangroves a couple of times. i would recommend this hotel to anyone who is interested for a getaway in uae as more than the ambiance (which is out of this world offcourse), the staff here treat you like royalty. the rooms are huge, the pool is amazing, the staff perfect and ingredients? just the best. i should admit that ingredients was one of the major reasons my stay at eastern mangroves hits a 100 on 100!

i don’t know if i should call their breakfast spread as just breakfast or brunch. when i entered the restaurant for my breakfast i was pleasantly surprised at the spread. there were counters everywhere. i know what one would say – that’s how a breakfast spread looks at any star hotel. but let me correct you right there – you couldn’t be more wrong. their spread was unlike any i have seen before! they had counters for asian (which had a wide variety of noodles, dimsums, and rice including sticky rice), sushi, arabic breakfast, cold cuts, hot appetizers, cheese counters, seafood section, salads, a pancakes & waffles station, an egg station along with the droolworthy dessert station to top the fruits and juice bars. it was a food paradise. a special mention has to be made on the food quality here too because quantity can never beat quality – the pancakes were soft and delicious, the sushi perfect, the eggs fluffy and every dish i tasted topped the previous one. love!

the restaurant is very spacious and this helps in creating an air of freshness around you. it overlooks the mangroves and this makes your breakfast experience even more special.

i would recommend ingredients and eastern mangroves for anyone who is looking for a change from the usual crowded hotels. the staff is extremely friendly, the ambiance great and food spectacular.
