this place is pretty old school. we were driving through columbus and wanted something healthy and simple, so why not pho?. we came across this place and entered a time warp back to the 70's. look at the calendar on the wall, i seem to remember my parents having something like that, only reads 2013. even the decor. having said that we would be back because the food was good and i was tired of eating greasy burgers again. thephowas fresh and hot, it was just as good as myphoin toronto and vancouver canada. it was tasty.

worthy.. there were seven of us. two locals and five chinese. we all had pho. we all enjoyed it. the service was good. thephowas very good. we will happily return.

those of us "cowtown" long-timers who remember and loved the saigon palace in downtown "cowtown" on front street, have a dandy replacement in the northland area.

huong's is the place!.

pros: pork & shrimp egg rolls, (try them with the peanut sauce), "goi du du tom thit" (ya baby) = papaya salad with fish sauce, peanuts, basil, shrimp, & pork.

pho tum (shrimp),phoga (chicken),phoca basa ( basa fish fillet). all thephocomes with fresh basil, cilantro, jalapenos, limes, & bean sprouts. che dau trang (hot white beans, sweet rice and coconut milk). all of the above is almost heavenly, especially on a cold "cowtown" night.

more pros: the chintzy decor, the crappy 80's videos on the tv, the service (quick & efficient).

even more pros: it's in northland the most ethnically diverse neighborhood in columbus. it's cheap. it's really, really good.

the fetching mrs. rat was reluctant to order as she was jonesin' for some good old merican chinese orange chicken. man was she glad we didn't head to the local, happygoldengardenhouseofbrownsauce. she was happy, i was happy, the debit card was happy. all is good.

my firstphoexperience was here, and everywhere i have been since has paled in comparison. bahn mi is to die for, vermicelli salads (especially with the shrimp rolls) is amazing, and omg the iced coffee. they also have a nice selection of bizarre desserts that have all been great so far. nice people, great service, carryout is also good if you are in a hurry. love this place and the quirky atmosphere that goes with it but i continue to be blown away by the amazing food.

great pho!!. i lovephoand vietnamese cuisine, so i tried this based on the reviews (just moved here). it lives up to the reviews for pho! it is rich, savory and they do not skimp on ingredients. i've been there 3 times forphoand have never been disappointed. also tried the pork and shrimp spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce. very well done and tasty! some day i will get something different, but that will be hard to do as thephois terrific.

bestphoin columbus, hands down. only thing if you dine in you may be waiting a little longer than expected but it's well worth the wait. theirphoalways puts me in a better mood when it's grey outside.

saw this was #1phojoint according to crave, and it was good. takeout only took about 3 minutes (awesome!). large serving size w lots of meat at a great price. now that's a great pho-king deal!

good first experience. first experience with vietnamese cuisine. i had the combinationphowhich included tendon and tripe, which didn't taste bad but i didn't like the chewy texture. the other meats were very tender. our server explained how the dish is eaten, with the garnishes and condiments. price was very reasonable and service was excellent. i will return to try other menu items.

heard all aboutphoand how i had to try it. i did and it was completely worth it! this place has wonderful fresh food, generous portions and favors that will certainly please. solid restaurant!

amazingpho! maybe the best we have ever had. highly recommended.

a lovely surprise. i tried beefphofor the first time about a year ago at lac viet (in the north market) and instantly became addicted. but that place isn't convenient, so i began exploring other options. i decided to try huong, based on these reviews, and i am so glad i did.

we had take out, and i was pleased to see that the lean pieces of thinly sliced beef were raw, as is proper--the great thing about the dish is the way the beef quickly poaches in the delicious broth. the basil and cilantro were abundant and perfectly fresh, and the broth was obviously homemade and had wonderful depth. . one bowl could easily have served two people.

on a side note, the egg rolls were very crispy and delicious.

i can't wait to go back. try it, you'll like it.

ask about your pho.. our egg & spring rolls were very good, as was their homemade hot sauce, really enjoyed my pho. my wife'sphohowever had pig's blood gelatin and some type of cartilege in it, neither of these two were mentioned in the brief description of the pho.

new owners andphoprepared the correct way with broth from pork and beef bones and spices simmered for hours.

fresh and tasty spring rolls and very clean surroundings with owners ready to please.

note to other vietnamese restaurants,, stop using canned broth,,, not the correct way for pho.
