great spicyfoodwith lots of flavor. one of the best chicken samosas i have ever had. could have done with some naan though. the durban curry was absolutely fantastic

the house of curries, located on florida street, does all kinds of indianfoodbut is noted for its rotis. i had a regular size veg roti and it was more than enough for one person. i am told that the lamb rotis are especially good. this is also a great place to relax with a cold beer of your choice

thefoodis okay, the portions are massive but the curry is a bit bland however the atmosphere is always great and the drinks aren’t badly priced.

although thefoodis good, the menu on zomato and they didn't care that the prices are different. they say there is nothing they can do to change the prices.

visited this slightly eclectic place with some work colleagues as we had a hunger for a curry.

we had a starter of samoosas which went down beautifully. i had the lamb roti regular but was massive and they still had a large (which is for sharing we were told later). colleagues had bunny chow which were they raced about.

the drinks were okay.

it’s a place to visit with some friends looking for drinks and a hearty meal.

looooove the house of curries! whenever i want to pig out we come here and order the chip and cheese rotis! the portions are huge, really is value for your money cause thefoodis delicious too! we are always served by the same waitress, who is always helpful and friendly! thanks house of curries for a good time and good food!

you cant visit durban without having good curry. house of curries has good, authenticfoodat a reasonable price. only advice is if you're a foodie - avoid going here on big sports days because the focus won't be on giving you a great eating experience.

i'd heard some good things about house of curries but i must say i had quite an odd experience at this place. it's like a hybrid of a sports bar and indian cuisine take-away spot. i suppose i wouldn't have expected to be eating curry in a bar.

the menu is a bizarre twist on traditional curries with things like a 'chip' bunny... hmmm, anyway - our table ordered a round of roti's and a bunny chow. i had the lamb roti, the portions are massive, you're almost guaranteed to take some home with you. but i'm of the mind that size doesn't matter if there's no flavour. two of my friends really enjoyed their meal while myself and my other friend - not so much.

ourfoodwas accompanied by rotten carrot relish, which when we raised with the waiter we were met with "i haven't had any complaints". the 'cosmo crush' cocktail i ordered (which was place under non alcoholic) was more coloured vodka with a lemon peel floating in it.

i think it's got the typical atmosphere for any sports enthusiast looking for a beer and a good crowd. but don't expect much if you consider yourself a "foodie".

i would not recommend this restaurant for indian food. the crockery was badly chipped and thefoodwas not up too standard, too watery and salty.

this place is home! the best of both a bar and some good food.foodis always hot, curries are more flavourful than just spicy! they completely have a wide menu and i enjoy eating there all the time.

worst ... worst... worst. you cannot expect worstfoodthan this place. we have ordered veg bunny chow as we heard they served best in durban. but when we started eating it was worst in taste. just a waste of money. i gave them 2 because they have good interior and crowed was just osum.
