slipping on style lately. the most recent visit in june 2013. our waitress was slow in getting to the table, took her time with the drinks and forgot the utensils until she saw i had the manager at my table with the jägerschnitzel getting cold in front of me. i told him "i would love to eat my dinner, if only i had a fork and knife." drinks took 15 minutes to bring also. it wasn't at all busy. no attempt to amend for these very bad fails.

regrettably thebandplayed a few traditional songs before taking a break just as we arrived. so waiting 20 minutes they came back started playing neal diamond, beatles, and country western music.

must have been an off night?

feels like epcot center. from the livebandthat will sing happy birthday to the fake patio, this place seems pretty contrived. food was mediocre. i don't think i need to go back.

meetup at #ces w/@urbanspoon @hofbrauhauslv http://twitpic.com/xfll3

this was my 1st time here but i've heard alot of good things about it especially oktoberfest!!

i haven't been here before because i'm not real familiar with german/bavarian food..i mean i love their chocolate cake but i know nothing else they make

this place is mistakenly believed to be a german establishment but their website & twitter say its a bavarian/german hybrid. what the difference is you'll have to wikipedia that sh#*.

the meetup was scheduled to be from 11-12 and of course i showed up a little late so i wouldn't be the 1st one but not only was i the 1st one.

the restaurant has a gift shop when you enter then a large beer hall with wood tables and benches with arched painted ceilings a stage for thebandand all the staff dressed in authentic garb. ever a beer wench:)

the folks from @urbanspoon were quite gracious and provided a spread of pretzels and sausages to eat. the pretzels has sweet or spicy mustard and a pimento-like spread to dip.

the assortment of brats and sausages was not on the menu so we got to try alot of different ones.

the food was good i liked the pretzel & the meat was good but nothing really jumped out at me. definitely not a fan of vienna sausage.

looking at the menu they have more than sausages. also pork, chicken a few steaks and of course black forest chocolate cake:)

prices are under $20 an entree.

gott ich liebe diesen ort. "god i love this place" :what can i say, the food, the atmosphere, the beer, the music, the jager.....it's all so good here.

one of my all time favorite places to eat. i've celebrated my last two birthdays here. when i'm in town i always set aside some time for a trip here.

on saturdays they have one of my favorite meals: frische schweins haxen

translation: crispy pork shank...which is served with sauerkraut, hb-dark beer gravy, bread & potato dumpling add in a stein of hefeweizen and you will be in heaven.

if this doesn't work for you there are plenty of great german/bavarian selections to pick from, and if you have someone in your party that's a little finicky, its ok there are a few chicken dishes which should suit them just fine.

the main room is boisterous and it's where thebandis located. loud and fun with people singing along and engaging thebandin various challenges.....

if the main room is too much for you they have a beer garden which is a a more reserved area but an equally enjoyable experience.

in the beer garden you won't be challenged by a member of thebandto stand on your table and drink your entire beer but you could still end up being paddled by one of the jager girls.

if you're in vegas and don't check this place out you're missing out, take a break from the video poker and drop in for an evening.

good food, great beer !. one of our favorite restaurants in town. the wife goes for the pretzels, i go for the beer.
the menu is fairly short, but full of good, stick-to-your-ribs authentic german food. the beer is flown in fresh from munich once a week or so, and tastes as good as it gets outside of germany.
in the evenings and on weekends a livebandplays, so unless you want to get blasted by usually pretty loud german and pseudo german folk music, request to be seated a little further away from the little stage.

highly recommended !
