ausgezeichnet!. the best german food in the area (possibly in the state)! have eaten there several times, most recently last night, and as always, agreatmeal! had the special; a sampler combination of bratwurst, chicken wienerschnitzel and a jaegerschnitzel, with bratkartofflen (fried potatoes) and red cabbage. chose the goulashsuppe as my appetizer; meaty, hot, deep flavor and just enough spice. the meal come quickly, fresh and hot from the kitchen. the special is so large that the jaegerschnitzel is served on its own plate! as in every visit, it took me back to the gasthouses of germany with all the memories of almost eight years there. have been to the other german restaurants in town, but hildegard's is primo! (by the way, there was so much food that i took almost a complete meal home after eating half of my dinner!)
