great pizza. i ate a lot ofhideawaypizza during my college days in stillwater, and missed it greatly when i moved to okc. since they opened up in the okc area, i've had lots more pizza.

i usually get a version of a meat loaded pizza. last tuesday we went to the edmond location. i got a medium (split with my son) with pepperoni, sausage, and hamburger (ians half was sausage). my wife and daughter split another one, half alfredo and half canadian bacon. both were excellent.

we got a 50/50 (fried mushrooms and fried cheese) and a small caesar salad also. it was a great meal. we'll keep going back.

stillwater's originalhideawayis the only way!!. i grew up in stillwater. where the originalhideawayis. it is the only one worth eating at in my opinion. i go every time i'm in stillwater. the cherry st location is as bad as all of the tulsa locations. when my dad went to talk to the owner(stillwater location) about the poor food quality and taste he was informed that he had no control over what the tulsa locations did. they just bought the name to use in tulsa. they have the same basic menu but none of it's prepared correctly. you won't get stiffed on toppings or cheese in stillwater! it's well worth the drive. fyi- i don't care what hype you have heard about the joe's restaurants (ie eskimo, mexico and the italian one) their food is overpriced at best and a complete waste if money at worst. only collage kids and visitors eat there. anyone who grew up there won't waste the time or money eating there. just warning everyone!

the service and food was horrible. we walked into the place to grab our to go order. when it was time to hand us the pizza box, the hostess dropped it on the floor. she held it with her shoe against the wall and felt accomplished because she "saved" the box. completely disgusted. even before we left the place, she (very unprofessional) discussed how she "saved" our meal with her colleagues. looks like this place is run by unprofessional teens. ifhideawayever reads this: i am never coming back again, but piece of advice from an ex-loyal client - hire new, and better staff!

good for years. my husband and i have been frequenting thishideawayfor over three years now, and it's always been reliably good. the servers are upbeat, polite, well-trained, and attentive, atmosphere is comfortable, food is always top notch (even for take-out), and all-in-all it's a seamlessly enjoyable experience every time. hope this place never leaves.

yummy. i love love thishideawayamazing bar service, and the pizza was fantastic. i dont like going when they are busy tho for some reason there is this girl who i believe is the host and she is just this snarky, mean, eye rolling, not going to lift a finger for you jerk. but this is the best one i've been to. i do think management needs to be more involved with their front end staff. when i say my table is dirty, don't sigh and roll your eyes just fix it.

5 out of 5 stars. the best pizza in the state, period. the wedge, humble pie, and even its own extensions can't compete. everything is delicious, but the sauce is the best part--i've never tasted its equal. a worthy adjective...ambrosial? it's extraordinarily thick and hot, fragrant, luscious... they don't skimp out on it either; i know its fashionable with good pizza to do the "european" thing and sprinkle it on in minimum amounts, buthideawayreally lets you have it. the toppings are all first-rate and tremendously fresh, more so than any pizza i've ever had. go for the hand-tossed crust for sure, other than that, you can't order wrong.

i've seen a great deal of complaints in the reviews here about misplaced orders... for the record, i've been going for over a decade and have devoured hundreds ofhideawaypies, and not once in my memory have the staff misplaced my order. many of the employees are students at the nearby college, uco, and while they are all very friendly and gregarious, i can see how the reduced amount of staff restaurant-experience might negatively affect service. however, having tried most of the pies on the menu and found them all to be scrumptious, i could personally care less if the pizza that i am served isn't exactly the same as the one i order--i know it will be delicious, and i might even find the unexpected variety to enliven the night's meal :)... not that i've ever had that happen. truly, the pizzas here are of the highest caliber--hit the link and mouse over oklahoma if you don't believe me.

really great and always has been. as a native tulsan i am biased towards hideaway. there were other pizzas growing up but you knew when someone saidhideawaythey meant business. it was great quality, took twice as long and cost like 25 percent more than other pizzas.

today the price of life has caught up tohideawaywhere its basically right on the money. the food has not really changed a lot, but i do feel like the dough is a little less substantial than it once was. of course im comparing it to my memories as a child so maybe my tastes have just changed.

back in the day you could tell it was in the middle of a decade long shift from being a headshop with pizza to a family restaurant, which it most definitely is now. you used to be able to get shrimp and at times they have offered fried chicken as a topping. i see less of that now, but the food is probably a little better for that reason.

the appetizers are actually fairly forgettable except for the almighty 50/50. half an order of fried mushrooms and half an order of cheese sticks. the cheese sticks are basically sticks of cheese, fried. the ranch dressing here is inexplicably great though and when combined with the fried mushrooms you can trick kids into eating their vegetables.

the uninitiated diner should know that the typicalhideawaypizza is hand-tossed and very rich. dont be afraid to pile on the toppings and even get a small pizza of your own with everything you like. remember that the dough and sauce are sweet but the cheese is very mild, so ive never been a big fan of the classic sausage or pepperoni pizza here.

when i was a kid i ate a small pizza with cheddar cheese and canadian bacon all to myself. sometimes my brother and i would go nuts and split a big country. now i gravitate towards the specials and have tried nearly all of them. i recommend the cimmaron for someone wanting to try something new and the sicilian for someone who wants a traditional kind of pizza. these are both relatively new additions to the menu and i think they are worth trying.

the family atmosphere is a blessing and a curse. i like the organization and straight forward service and the layout is good for any sized party. i feel stranger and stranger going their with other adults. i feel ancient clutching my enormous schooner of stella and when i eat there with my parents i feel eerily like im in middle school again.

lastly, they hire young people because its a family restaurant and they want you to be comfortable. if anyone ever makes a mistake the management fixes it quickly and i have often left with an extra pizza because when you send something back they offer to let you eat it while they whip up the correct thing. it is kind of insulting when a restaurant takes that food back isnt it? not an issue here and never has been for me at least.

i eat out in tulsa a lot and i have eaten here at least once a month for more than a decade. probably nearing 15 years now, and i have never gotten tired of this place. the tie-dying and the young wait staff make this place pretty amenable to kids and if you are concerned about reliability i can tell you that anytime they have ever gotten even the slightest thing wrong they fix it immediately and free of charge. the food is excellent and i always recommend it to people who visit as a new take on pizza. they also have really good ranch dressing. dont forget to ask for some for your crusts.

i found it. this was my first venture intohideawayin my ongoing survey of cherry street restaurants. it's a very nice dining area and my server, katy, was very friendly and sharp. the service was a bit slow, but from what i could tell, it was the kitchen rather than the server that was holding things up. my starter salad was good, but some of the lettuce was starting to brown and looked a little tired. the pizza was pretty good--i liked the red sauce, the italian sausage had some spice and flavor and mushrooms, red onions and basil were all good. one thing i found odd was that the pizza, which presumably came right from the oven, was not all that hot. usually you have to be careful to avoid burning your mouth, but there was no danger of that--so maybe it sat a while? i would rate the pizza about 7/10.

great food, love the bruchetta. mostly a pleasant experience but this past time my son & i had a waitress by the name of angela. i usually wouldnt complain but wow. can you say rude?? i mean not just indirect, this woman was pure hateful, & unwelcoming.hideawayseems to be mostly laid back sweet employees, not miserable women. ill make sure not to have her as my waitress, & let friends know. not good for the environment.

beware. the food athideawayis great for the money, especially the lunch specials, however, my lunch was less than stellar when i had to deal with angela as i left. i was nice, she was not, and actually rolled her eyes at me as my party was exiting the restaurant. had i not been strapped for time, i would have immediately told the manager, who was nowhere to be found in the near vicinity. so here i am telling you now, the foods alright, but the service from some of the employees leaves something to be desired, especially the greeters and cashiers.

better than the one in stillwater. i love thishideawayso much better than the original. #1) it's actually lit up so that you can read the menus #2) appetizers are made in portions to share #3) the staff is almost way too happy to be at work. pizza is their signature but i go for the fried mushrooms. try 'em. you'll thank me later
