5 out of 5 stars. the best pizza in the state, period. the wedge, humble pie, and even its own extensions can't compete. everything is delicious, but the sauce is the best part--i've never tasted its equal. a worthy adjective...ambrosial? it's extraordinarily thick and hot, fragrant, luscious... they don't skimp out on it either; i know its fashionable withgoodpizza to do the "european" thing and sprinkle it on in minimum amounts, but hideaway really lets you have it. the toppings are all first-rate and tremendously fresh, more so than any pizza i've ever had. go for the hand-tossed crust for sure, other than that, you can't order wrong.

i've seen a great deal of complaints in the reviews here about misplaced orders... for the record, i've been going for over a decade and have devoured hundreds of hideaway pies, and not once in my memory have the staff misplaced my order. many of the employees are students at the nearby college, uco, and while they are all very friendly and gregarious, i can see how the reduced amount of staff restaurant-experience might negatively affect service. however, having tried most of the pies on the menu and found them all to be scrumptious, i could personally care less if the pizza that i am served isn't exactly the same as the one i order--i know it will be delicious, and i might even find the unexpected variety to enliven the night's meal :)... not that i've ever had that happen. truly, the pizzas here are of the highest caliber--hit the link and mouse over oklahoma if you don't believe me.

we were in stillwater the past couple days, but didn’t get a chance to eat the original hideaway, so we went to the edmond location this evening for dinner while we were out running errands. very good! we started out with a large caesar salad (with extra dressing on the side, instead that added it to the salad, it was strong!). ian and erin split a medium thin crust, half alfredo with canadian bacon, and half marinara with sausage. raegan and i split another medium thin crust, hers with canadian bacon, mine with pepperoni, sausage, and hamburger. all of this was excellent. raegan and erin took one slice of their halves home, ian and i demolished our halves. the iced tea was verygood(this location has started serving sweet tea), and service, while a little delayed at the start, improved quickly. our check was $42.35, not bad value for the quantity of food we received. great pizza.

really great and always has been. as a native tulsan i am biased towards hideaway. there were other pizzas growing up but you knew when someone said hideaway they meant business. it was great quality, took twice as long and cost like 25 percent more than other pizzas.

today the price of life has caught up to hideaway where its basically right on the money. the food has not really changed a lot, but i do feel like the dough is a little less substantial than it once was. of course im comparing it to my memories as a child so maybe my tastes have just changed.

back in the day you could tell it was in the middle of a decade long shift from being a headshop with pizza to a family restaurant, which it most definitely is now. you used to be able to get shrimp and at times they have offered fried chicken as a topping. i see less of that now, but the food is probably a little better for that reason.

the appetizers are actually fairly forgettable except for the almighty 50/50. half an order of fried mushrooms and half an order of cheese sticks. the cheese sticks are basically sticks of cheese, fried. the ranch dressing here is inexplicably great though and when combined with the fried mushrooms you can trick kids into eating their vegetables.

the uninitiated diner should know that the typical hideaway pizza is hand-tossed and very rich. dont be afraid to pile on the toppings and even get a small pizza of your own with everything you like. remember that the dough and sauce are sweet but the cheese is very mild, so ive never been a big fan of the classic sausage or pepperoni pizza here.

when i was a kid i ate a small pizza with cheddar cheese and canadian bacon all to myself. sometimes my brother and i would go nuts and split a big country. now i gravitate towards the specials and have tried nearly all of them. i recommend the cimmaron for someone wanting to try something new and the sicilian for someone who wants a traditional kind of pizza. these are both relatively new additions to the menu and i think they are worth trying.

the family atmosphere is a blessing and a curse. i like the organization and straight forward service and the layout isgoodfor any sized party. i feel stranger and stranger going their with other adults. i feel ancient clutching my enormous schooner of stella and when i eat there with my parents i feel eerily like im in middle school again.

lastly, they hire young people because its a family restaurant and they want you to be comfortable. if anyone ever makes a mistake the management fixes it quickly and i have often left with an extra pizza because when you send something back they offer to let you eat it while they whip up the correct thing. it is kind of insulting when a restaurant takes that food back isnt it? not an issue here and never has been for me at least.

i eat out in tulsa a lot and i have eaten here at least once a month for more than a decade. probably nearing 15 years now, and i have never gotten tired of this place. the tie-dying and the young wait staff make this place pretty amenable to kids and if you are concerned about reliability i can tell you that anytime they have ever gotten even the slightest thing wrong they fix it immediately and free of charge. the food is excellent and i always recommend it to people who visit as a new take on pizza. they also have reallygoodranch dressing. dont forget to ask for some for your crusts.

great food, love the bruchetta. mostly a pleasant experience but this past time my son & i had a waitress by the name of angela. i usually wouldnt complain but wow. can you say rude?? i mean not just indirect, this woman was pure hateful, & unwelcoming. hideaway seems to be mostly laid back sweet employees, not miserable women. ill make sure not to have her as my waitress, & let friends know. notgoodfor the environment.

why no vegan cheese?. at one time this was agoodplace for vegans, but they just haven't kept up with the times. both whole foods and joe momma's now offer pizza with daiya vegan cheese. it seems like it would be an easy thing to add to menu, but if they don't want vegans to eat here i guess that's their call.

good food, nice environment. this place serves agoodpizza, with a nice selection of toppings and some fine side dishes. wait staff was prompt and attentive. it's a bit pricey, but probably no more so than chain pizza shops. decor is creative, room is spacious and not too noisy.

hideaway makes for agoodday. i've been to almost all tulsa locations of hideaway, for some reason, to me, cherry street is the best! the other locations have the same great food, the service, however, is not so great. but i always feel welcome and wanted at cherry street, there is one waitress in particular (can't remember her name!) who is awesome, very friendly and bubbly and great about refills and suggestions.

i'm allergic to dairy so i always order the maui magic with out cheese, it's so yummy! it's canadian bacon, pineapples, and mandarin oranges. hideaway makes awesome crust - you can choose crispy or original. i love the original crust, it's just what pizza crust should taste like. the fried mushrooms are super tasty as well!!

when my husband and i go, we usually spend about $30 (that includes tip) on 2 personal pizzas and 2 drinks. when we share an appetizer, it's usually about $40.

hideaway is a great casual date night restaurant, also perfect for birthdays and just hanging out with friends. love it!

im a pizza enthusiast and hideaways has the best pizza i have ever tasted. my only complaint is that one of their chefs seems to skimp on the cheese but other than that, i wholly recommend this place to anyone that wants great pizza forgoodprice and timely friendly service.

wrong order time and time again. let me preface this review by saying that i am a huge fan of the pizza here. it tastes much better than anything you'd get at a chain store and i've yet to find anything better. i have never had an issue with the norman location and continue to visit that particular location frequently. unfortunately, that's where the positives stop.

i've ordered from the edmond location somewhere around 15 times. of those 15 times, i'd estimate at least 10 of them i've had to make a trip back inside the store after examining the pizzas. any substitutions or removal of toppings is likely to get you an incorrect order. i've talked to so many managers i've lost count. granted, they have always made an effort to make it right, it's frustrating to spend so much time waiting on a corrected order. i've never run into this issue even once at the norman location.

all in all, it'sgoodpizza for a decent price, and ordering pick-up is easy; just be sure to thoroughly examine your pizzas before you leave.

i love that they feature frosty regional beers on their drink menu! drink local brews! the frosty, frosty mug is a wonderful touch as well. it's definitely a two-hander, not to be held by the weak. my husband loves the wings. since i'm not a wing-lover anywhere, i tried the baked meatballs. yummy! we also shared a mob boss pizza. i'm rarely such a carnivore, but this meaty pie is delicious! my husband said he was disowning me when i threw some of the baked meatballs on top of my slice. he said i was being extreme. hahaha perhaps it was the second boulevard oktoberfest bier (#2 always sounds like agoodidea, but the beer mugs are humongous!), or meat overload, but our visit was a decadent saturday night treat that will be repeated! thanks hideaway for a great meal! love the garlic pieces on the pies. it really makes a difference.

verall, not a bad experience by any means, but simply not worth the price i paid for everything since nothing truly stood out. most items were simply in the range of average togoodwith the exception of the cheesesticks.

i'm getting hungry writing this.... hideaway, just saying the name brings to mind that last super pizza you got when you were there and how great it tasted. go ahead, try it. hideaway. mmmmmmmm....hideaway has plenty ofgoodoptions for you to pick from off the menu, but i prefer a creation my wife and i made up a few years ago. we get grilled chicken with some pineapple on it and have them use an alfredo sauce instead of a red sauce and it's just super here. i've had it at a few other places that'll do custom (and have alfredo on hand) like cpk (no, there's not one in tulsa, don't get your hopes up) but it's never asgoodas hideaway does it. it's by far our favorite pizza. hideaway generally has average service, sometimes you'll get someone good, sometimes you'll get some high college kid but the food most often wipes away anything dumb your server can do.

overall, hideaway is one of the more expensive pizza places in town but the number of restaurants that continue to open and stay open is testament to howgoodthey are. from classics to new creations, hideaway gives an option to everyone and makes it worth everyone's while for those extra dollars. one more time...hideaway. ok, now i'm hungry...gotta go.
