hideaway pizza

good pizza. i'm not going to say it is great pizza. i think andolini's is going to give hideaway a run for its money once it opens this summer.

skimpy on fried mushrooms. very disappointed in the size of the $8.25 order of mushrooms and cheese sticks at the edmond store. the server said that they had recently reduced the portion size to what it should have been. having managed a full service pizza resturant myself, i understand the importance of portion and food cost control . however, i can not believe that 9 mushrooms and 4 cheese sticks could ever be considered a reasonable value at $8.25. i also can recall that the serving size of mushrooms at this and other locations have always been plentiful.(i have been going to hideaways since i went to school in stillwater in the early 80s). so, in my opinion i think their attempt to standardize the portion size and control costs were a bit over zealous. i assume wholesale price of the quantity of mushrooms for a new quantity used for a full order would be about 60 cents. and all other ingredients including breading and vegetable oil would not total more than $1. for one dollar of food cost, i would expect a fair price for an appetizer item that cost $1 to be about $5. so, the $8 price for the previous generous portion was a fair price. i doubt i will be purchasing any 7.95 orders of mushrooms in the future. pizza was great as always.

a little pricey, but the pizzas and sandwiches are great. our favorite pizza is the paradise pie!

great pizza!. every time i come to t-town, i eat here. their pizza is good, has more interesting toppings than your average place, and their crust is perfection (chewy, soft, and a little bit of cheese baked onto it). their beers are huge (bonus), but i wish they didn't come in the 10lb. mug (not so bonus). the price is a little high for pizza, but it's worth it!

great pizza. i ate a lot of hideaway pizza during my college days in stillwater, and missed it greatly when i moved to okc. since they opened up in the okc area, i've had lots more pizza.

i usually get a version of a meat loaded pizza. last tuesday we went to the edmond location. i got a medium (split with my son) with pepperoni, sausage, and hamburger (ians half was sausage). my wife and daughter split another one, half alfredo and half canadian bacon. both were excellent.

we got a 50/50 (fried mushrooms and fried cheese) and a small caesar salad also. it was a great meal. we'll keep going back.

love this pizza!. just a throwback to the 80s flavor. an awesome place

stillwater's original hideaway is the only way!!. i grew up in stillwater. where the original hideaway is. it is the only one worth eating at in my opinion. i go every time i'm in stillwater. the cherry st location is as bad as all of the tulsa locations. when my dad went to talk to the owner(stillwater location) about the poor food quality and taste he was informed that he had no control over what the tulsa locations did. they just bought the name to use in tulsa. they have the same basic menu but none of it's prepared correctly. you won't get stiffed on toppings or cheese in stillwater! it's well worth the drive. fyi- i don't care what hype you have heard about the joe's restaurants (ie eskimo, mexico and the italian one) their food is overpriced at best and a complete waste if money at worst. only collage kids and visitors eat there. anyone who grew up there won't waste the time or money eating there. just warning everyone!

having lived in oklahoma city (off and on) for over 25 years now, sometimes it catches me off guard when i realize that i have never once dined at certain iconic local eateries. maybe it’s one of those things where you know that since the joint’s been there so long, it’s probably always going to be there, so you feel like there’s no rush to sit down and try it any time soon.

food is excellent. the noise level was atrocious with kids yelling and screaming. was not enjoyable due to noise level. hard to talk and hear across the table.

went to pick up our order & was told to come in 50 minutes. got there 1 hour later! was told it would be a few minutes! waited 30 then went up to the counter they said it would be at least 20 minutes! got refunded & left! this has happened before there! people were leaving left & right! someone needs to run a better business or tell the truth when u call!

the service and food was horrible. we walked into the place to grab our to go order. when it was time to hand us the pizza box, the hostess dropped it on the floor. she held it with her shoe against the wall and felt accomplished because she "saved" the box. completely disgusted. even before we left the place, she (very unprofessional) discussed how she "saved" our meal with her colleagues. looks like this place is run by unprofessional teens. if hideaway ever reads this: i am never coming back again, but piece of advice from an ex-loyal client - hire new, and better staff!

i'm a stillwater girl, so i'll always be partial to the original store for nostalgia, but i love mushroom pizza and you can't get the truffle oil in stillwater.  i also love their fried mushrooms as well!  they're the best!!

not impressed. pizza is fair. service was poor. waiter forgot to put in our order. we almost left because we thought he had completely forgotten we were there. finally he came over and said that he'd "check on our order." no apology. i didn't buy his story because i watched a lot of people arrive after we did eating their pizza. pizza is mediocre anyway. too many better options than this place.

you can't go wrong with hideaway. the food is always great; the staff is helpful and friendly; and the restaurant is clean and well put together.
