stayed at the hilton and we were hungary! i thought i remembered te food being good, mistake. derfito got the fajitas, the chicken tasted like it had been cooked in chinese jar sauce, not good. my pie was not a pie but a stew with a bit of filo pastry on top. it is what it is, averagepubgrub. the place is too smokey, even though we sat in the back, it affected the meal. might come in to watch sport however nothing more

i can honestly say we had the most well-informed and professional service combined with uniquely presented and tasty food, the overall experience was first-rate.

the menu is a fine balance between asian influenced dishes and western favourites. the star dishes of the night were panko fried shrimps , hemingways prime beef burger & the most delectable oreo cheesecake. i would highly recommend to give it a go, especially if you are looking to impress a loved one or have visitors in town.

radisson blu abu dhabi corniche

hemingway's is located in radisson blu hotel, abu dhabi on corniche road. it is one of the oldest pub's with character. it has smoking, non-smoking and outdoor seating options.

the staff were courteous and polite. we ordered a whiskey cocktail, gin with tonic, lamb chops and chicken tikka makhani. whilst the lamb chops was steeply priced for the portion served, the chicken tikka makhani was delicious. they offered us "beat the heat" promotion where you get a discount in percentage according to the temperature outside.

we were there on a friday afternoon and it looked quiet deserted, just 3 or 4 tables were occupied including ours.

overall we felt it was once a popularpubbut they now need to keep prices in line with their competitors.

i came here on several times. it's great casual place to shoot pools and darts. they have live music here too but i prefer jazz bar for live music. there is a ladies night which is on a thursday but there was one occasion i went to the bar and asked for a drink and the server asked me for money for it. then i had to ask again if it was ladies night which then he said he forgotten. but i thought that was odd since it was well into ladies night and not the first drink he served. the food is mediocre, nothing too special. regularpubfood really. i had their pasta, burger, tacos before. all were good but not extraordinary. they do have entertainer deals and their bar is open throughout the day so its a good hangout spot for afternoon to late evening. the crowd can be quite a bit older but drinks are cheaper than at jazz bar. they do have a special for ladies every day of the week.

it's more apubthan a restaurant, although they do have a dedicated sit-down section. i went with my friend recently. we had the spring roll for appetisers & beers to begin with. main course was ravioli & bangers'n'mash. on the whole, i liked the ambience & service. 
the food was not much to write home about. the spring roll was probably the better thing that evening, although i'm sure its procured readymade & frozen from outside. the ravioli itself was fine but the sauec was too tart / acidic, like plain tomato sauce. it lacked cooking and flavour. the sausages in the banger dish was unreasonably large. one of it was charred to the point of being burnt along one side. the mashed potato was smooth and buttery, though.
i might visit again for drinks. food? i don't think so!

having dined at hemingway's many times throughout the years, i've never been disappointed and their burger is my favourite thing on the menu - especially at lunch time! 
the other night, however, was the first time i benefitted from their ladies night that happens every tuesday, wednesday, thursday and friday from 8pm - 12am... (what?! i know!) and it was so worth it! the poland - portugal game was going on, and the vibe at hemingway's was perfect. with a great combination of avid fans watching the game displayed on multiple screens, as well as the little room with pool tables and dart boards - everyone's bound to have a good time! 
the manager, who recently moved from cooper's, was very inviting, and the waters always make sure that their customers are satisfied. as we were a big group of people, the staff made sure that we all had seats if we wished - joining tables and adding chairs and stools for us. service is wonderful - although thepubwas full considering there was a game going on, there was never a time where i had to wait a long time to get a waiter's attention to order. ordering drinks at the bar as well was not a task, and the bartenders were quite attentive. 
definitely looking forward to the next time i visit hemingway's!

the decor of this place is very old, however it does have a cozypubfeel. portions are huge so suggest you share! nothing above average but not terrible either.
