theserviceand food was excellent. the burgers were bursting with flavor! if you're in the area definitely take the time to check them out. they are new but they're on the way to establishing a great reputation! check them out!

finally, something "uptown" in sw clt!. i live in steele creek, but i admit... i am one to drive out of my neighborhood for some good food and drink (ie- southend, dilworth, uptown).

finally, something in my backyard that accomplishes that "uptown" feel, without breaking the bank. the bartenders are friendly; the pours generous. the food (from what i've had so far) is great. can't wait to try some of the other items on the menu and come back for a john daly or two (or 5).

edit: this place continues to deliver! whether your choice is a "burger of the day" or a filet, harry's delivers a delicious, consistent product with greatserviceto match. looks like they have a solid crowd, which is good- i want to see these guys do well so i can keep coming back!

we ate at harry's while stopping in the charlotte area on a two-day road trip with a three month old. though we were at first hesitant because it looked way too nice for two road weary parents and a baby, the manager actually waved us in and welcomed us into the bar area. from that point on, the evening was just what we needed. the staff was friendly, theserviceperfectly attentive, the drinks strong and smooth, and the food delicious. the fresh catch of the day was a perfectly seared striped bass, the bison bacon meatloaf was flavorful and tender, and all the sides were standout - particularly the brussels sprouts. and the brownie! - perfectly fudgy and rich. the staff clearly takes pride in the restaurant and enjoy each other as well, making harry's a great place to spend a couple hours whether you're just passing through or a soon-to-be regular. highly recommend!

bad experience. the place looks like a really nice tavern and i was looking forward to trying it out. i so wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, we had a bad experience. it was a quiet night there, and our party of four waited 30 minutes for drinks to arrive. the waiter had to come back to our table to confirm our order three times, and the third time, came back only to tell us they were out of the beers we ordered. we waited an hour for dinner and a rare steak came out charred. the waiter never offered an apology even though the rest of us had finished our meal before another steak was brought out. even though we were really cordial about the incident, he never even came back to the table again. i cannot believe the poorservicewhen they boost upscale food and impeccableserviceon their site. maybe we just tried it on an off night, but i don't think i'd try it again unless theserviceand chef change.

love it! it's not the same ole chain restaurant. just what this side of town needs. you have the bar, lounge, and restaurant feel all in one! and theserviceis awesome
