slow service. waitress kept forgetting items, put in orders incorrectly. the food and drinks were truly the worst part of the experience, though; med-high price for low quality.

$3 house margarita on the rocks = absolute worst margarita i've ever been served. served warm and tasted like sweaty feet. husband had the mojito which tasted like tap water with some mint crushed in it.

had the crab cake sandwich on sourdough. bread and crab cake were soggy and mushy; the cake literally fell to pieces onto my plate each time i took a bite. barely-there crab flavor overpowered by the breading, bell pepper, and celery used to make the cake. husband had the fish and chips which were basically cornbreaded catfish nuggets with seasoned fries. not bad, but definitely not what one would expect when ordering "fish and chips."

seasoned fries were the only part of the meal worth recommending and the only reason i'm not giving a single star.

good atmosphere - mediocre food. my husband and i decided to try the tavern on a monday night to avoid potential crowds during the weekend. i had read the somewhat mixed reviews, but it has a really great location so we gave it a try. it was not too crowded and the evening was really nice weather wise so a great place for outdoor dining.

we started out with the garlic shrimp dip with cream cheese and spinach. it wasn't too bad but the spinach consisted of one leaf cut in tiny strips and used as garnish on top. i had expected the spinach would be incorporated into the dish somewhat like a light spinach dip. not really worth the $7 for cream cheese with a few tiny shrimp pieces, spinach leaf and chips.

i had read a good review on the monte cristo and had never had one before so that is what i ordered. the sandwich arrived and it was so very greasy, i had to ask for additional napkins and the two i was brought was not even enough. there was at least 2-3 tablespoons of grease in my plate under the sandwich and as much still in the sandwich. you may say that this is what is expected for a "fried sandwich", but my husband has had monte cristos at other restaurants in the past and said they were definitely not saturated like what i received. i ended up sick most of the night due to the "overload" of grease after eating only one-half of the sandwich. i really should have gone with a salad or shrimp poboy.

he was more sensible in his selection of the mahi-mahi fish tacos and they were decent. i also order ice tea which turned out to be instant and i had to ask for refills as our waitress was alright but seemed to not have enought training on customer service.

overall it might have been a bad menu selection on my part, but we probably will not try the place again. for $40 bucks there is better value elsewhere. if we want the outdoors eating experience will probably go to snoopy's. at least the fried food is not greasy .

outstanding service, great food. the gumbo was the best i've had and i've tried it in many cities. delicious! oysters and lump crab salad were very tasty. the ambience is local- don't be thrown by it having the gift shop next door. it's not a tourist trap. all seating is open air but under cover. my husband had the ahi tuna and it was fresh and appealing. i love their homemade chipotle spicy sauce. the general manager came by the table to chat and he added a warm, caring attitude to the already relaxing location.

check out harrison's. was in town touring the uss lexington and was looking for a place to eat lunch outdoor on the water. i found harrison's landing on urbanspoon and decided to give it a shot. glad we did! great food, view, and our waitor was incredible. some of the best guacamole i've had too! fish tacos and monte cristo were delicious. harrison's landing is worth trying out if you're in the corpus christi area.

something to glow on, something to grow on. atmosphere is casual & relaxing. view is great. food & prices were good. needs major improvement in service. when we walked in there were literally 4 servers/employees standing around by the bar who looked at us but never moved. we seated ourselves. there was one menu on the table- but 5 of us. not one employee walked over. they were very close in proximity to our table-they had to see that 5 people were struggling to share one menu. after some time i got up to ask if we could have more than one menu. they kind of looked at us like we were interrupting. three of our group did not receive napkins/flatware--luckily we had sandwiches & fries. i had to go to the bar to ask for refill on drinks. again, lots of standing around, chit chatting w/ eachother. would i return? yes, but w/ hopes of a much better trained, improved waitstaff who were there to work instead of stand/socialize.

needs an on-line calendar. although there have been mixed reviews about the service and cold food, my friends and i went to the restaurant last night to try it out for the first time. we were really excited but when arriving at 7p, it was closed for a private party. it would have been nice to have known this prior to making plans. if there is going to be other times when the restaurant is closed it would be helpful to have a calendar attached to the website. thanks.

delicious food! well priced, management clearly cares! would eat here every visit to corpus. great atmosphere! ample portion sizes, fish was very fresh!

this place has ok food. the lobster bisque was pretty good. i ordered the monte cristo and it was over fried and too greasy fort taste. i've had better monte croatia elsewhere. the chef special shrimp and cajun chicken tenders were too salty. only decent meal we had was the mahi mahi fish tacos. try the pink lady drink. it's good.

we will never eat here again, even though it's a lovely spot on the marina with a floating seating section. it was not crowded on this thursday night but we were told we had to wait.....so we did for over 30 minutes. once seated, we waited another 20 minutes before we gave our drink orders and to speed things up we ordered our entrees too. and we waited another 15 minutes for drinks. but wait! the longest wait was yet to come! we waited 93, yes, 93 minutes for our food! and when we finally got our meal it was awful--fish tasteless and pounded thin and over fried, shrimp flattened to 1/4" and over fried, bland cole slaw and cold fries. really??? our waiter said the "kitchen was killing him" and the young female manager apologized for the wait, but no one offered to comp us an entree or buy us a dessert. sorry dudes your service stinks and food is barely edible. come here to have a glass of wine or an overpriced cocktail, not to eat unless you have four hours to spend on waiting. total for two bad entrees and two waters was $36.44 before tip.

both steaks were cooked medium rare perfectly. the flavor of the steaks were... well there was no flavor at all!!! it tasted as though the steak was taken straight from the cow and grilled then washed off thoroughly and then served. no garlic butter sauce applied to these two perfectly cooked pieces of beef as claimed on the menu.

the a-1 sauce was on point. the waiter brought it out and before we tried the steaks we had said, “hope we don’t need that.” well... we did and he said, “i told you and that’s why i brought it out.”

the beer that a friend got was flat and didn’t finish it saying, “this is the first beer that i’ve left on a table unfinished in 20 years.” my root beer was good for the record.

the service is not what i would call welcoming or caring of their place of employment.

the milk shakes that we got from whataburger were the highlights of our meal.

we had a crab cake appetizer, crab encrusted flounder meal and creme brûlée dessert. the food was amazing. the service quality was well below food quality.

i've given this place three separate chances and each time was worse than the one before. burnt food, watered down drinks, and super slow service. only thing this place is good for is a beer on the water, bottled of course so they can't mess it up. someone needs to unleash john taffer on this place. go anywhere else.

good food, i had the shrimp diablo. we had a party of 10 and they handled it pretty well. we got to sit on this floating dock/eating surface which had a great view of the water and marina. kids did fine as well.

we came for dinner and were pleased. we wanted to visit somewhere that we couldn't find at home. it's on the marina and even has tables on a floating "dock". the service was exceptional and the food was good. they also offer $3 margaritas. we didn't try them though. the fish tacos were delicious and very big! the grilled shrimp was good as was the kids catfish bites. overall, it was a fun experience with good food.

went there for dinner. daughter loved the shrimp tacos. i had caribbean salad. it was very good. split a piece of chocolate cake that was amazing.
