harrison's landing

phenominal! everything good you've read and heard - especially about the lobster bisque - is 100% true.

super service and great atmosphere. my wife and i come down to corpus christi every year. this year we stopped at a new location in the marina called harrison's landing, next to landry's. the food was amazing: we had the pecan shrimp with their melba sauce that was out of this world. we followed up the shrimp with not 1 but 2 orders of beignets! shortly after falling into a food coma, we enjoyed watching the fish in the lights off the back of the patio. our bartender's name was erick; he made the experience even more enjoyable we will be asking for him again. every time we come back to corpus christi you will find us at tavern on the bay!

holy carp!!!!!! we come to corpus regularly and usually eat at the same ole place we like. we decided to give this a try and thank god for urban spoon. definently reasonably priced and exceeded my expectations. this small dive has a great atmosphere and awesome food. when in corpus take a chance and experience an explosion in flavor town. we will be back!!!!

lobster bisque!. tavern on the bay is a tiny little place on the last t-head that has really great food. the kitchen is inhabited by two chefs that i know of and possibly more who conspire to do nothing less than present a product superior to whatever your expectations might be. living in south texas, we are deprived of a lot of the lobster dishes (lobster rolls, lobster bisque, lobster thermidor) that the rest of the country enjoys so frequently but no longer! the lobster bisque at tavern on the bay was a revelation!!!!!
large chunks of lobster still tender and juicy, perfect texture as the soup was creamy and thick like a chowder, and beautiful! did i mention it tasted great? i imagine i will be back over there for lunch today for what i have heard is one of the best burgers around especially if you ask for it on the jalapeno cheddar bun!!!!!! if you have a sweet tooth, the beignets were delicious especially with the sauce that they give you. it's more than worth your time to go check out this place so hop to it!!!!
