it was our anniversary eve, so after a coffee at starbucks, dinner at maplai n cream centre we wanna make it more memorable with a good desert spot.yaay hàagen dazs was our choice, regarding parking there was no issues.ambience was good with subtle lights,the service was courteous and they really helped out what we want.ya coming to the ice creams,they were treat to our eyes and totastebuds too, my husband wants to select ice creams with waffles,so they suggested belgian waffle dream,with two scoops of dulce de leche and praline cream both were delicious and melts in the mouth ,feels heaven with thetasteof the caramel and praline nuts,being an internatinal flavours they maintain their standard.but cost is really high and and you will have a hole in your pocket.will visit only on a special occasion not definetly not a regular desert spot.kugan kannabiran

haagen dazs was in my bookmark for quite a long period. so i was waiting for the right time to hope in here which happened recently.

haagen dazs is a renowned brand among the ice cream lovers community all over the world, for nearly 50years🍨🍧🍧🍨. they are famous among the other ice cream brands for not using stabilizers in their products. they produce ice cream, bars, ice cream cakes, sorbet, frozen yogurt and gelato.

on my visit i tried eiffel tower, but i actually wanted to try classic fondue or european fondue but totastethis i think there should be atleast 3 to 4 friends with me. so i opted for eiffel tower. and moreover i had a heavy lunch in anjappar before getting in here so i could not make up 🙁😕😢

the main attraction for eiffel tower was for the architectural design involved in it , that too for a passionate civil engineer like me it is a good attraction which represents eiffel tower. similarly we can even have brooklyn bridge. eiffel tower basically consists of a brownie cake, a large scoop of vanilla kind of ice cream and above it there ll be a smaller scoop of one more flavor of ice cream and finally a cherry at the top. sides of this ice cream are covered with chocolate carved in eiffel tower shape to give some reality to the dish.tastewise it's good no need of any special mention about it. the shape of this eiffel tower in chocolate should be made out of some stencil to cut it out so perfectly💗💖. and to make this more attractive, they will give u shadow effect of eiffel tower on plate by smearing coco powder in the same shape.

and next my mind and stomach couldn't quench the thrist for pastries love so i ordered one single piece of brownie, with some right amount of warmth. brownie was topped with chocolate syrup. i like the brownie, it was good to taste. 👍👍

ambience is really sufficient for what a dessert cuisine should have. 👌👌👌clean, tidy and well maintained interior to pass time with our loved one.

pricing is💳💲💰 really on its higher end as it comes under high end dessert cuisine. and the ingredients of ice cream makes it special since it contains no stabilizers in it. so prepared for it.

parking 🏍️🚘🚗🅿️facilities are fine and no issues with it.

i visited after my lunch which may not be peak hours of business for them so the service was quick and prompt over 👍🍰🍪🍩🍿🍦🍧🍮

awesome ice cream i ever had 👌🏻 that to caramel ice cream with almond chips fried in butter combination is an excellent combination and awesometaste😃

undoubtedly the best ice creams in chennai..tasteas well as presentation but the best part is they stay open till 12:00am so its the ultimate solution to your post dinner sweet tooth. this is one place where you wont regret going over board by ordering a platter because its soo yummiee that you would eventually end up finishing it anyway ;)

i was disappointed on my recent visit here. haagen dazs is a place i go to very often. the ice creams here are truly spectacular and the variety they provide is unparalleled. but considering, it is a place that offers so much, i was disappointing on not having my previous standard of expectations met. i had ordered the eiffel tower, and waffles with vanilla ice cream. while the eiffel tower was spectacular and tasted brilliant. the waffles were bad! they didn'ttastewell and were very chewy and lacked crisp. the ice cream was of course, fantastic. service could have been better, but the ambience is excellent.

wanted to try this place for too long that i also planned to go alone itself once i saw the buy 1 get 1 ads on paper, fortunately had company!
ambience is something that is too good, first the location the poshest place in the city and the colours and lighting are pretty pretty!😍👍

just like everyone was taunted by the picture in the menu and ordered the eiffel tower,😢☺ the brownie and the chocolate scoop was really good along with the smaller scoop of cookies and cream. the tower replica was fun to eat (felt like a monster)

what did i like the most of the three - belgian waffle dream!
semma soft and warm waffles topped with ice cream and carmel sauce. therific combination. the waffle when soaked in the melted ice cream its all together literally a heaven in mouth moment!

carmel crunch eh thodavé vidala antha padupavi, he was busy verupaethifying us am sure it would have been mass!👍

wanted to visit the place since it has been opened in chennai. a very good gourmet ice cream parlour. they have a variety of ice creams to choose from and a mesmerising, mouth watering range of menus. i ordered a brooklyn bridge and the look wasn't as appealing as it looked in the picture. thetastewas really good and we could choose the flavour of ice cream we wanted on the bridge. really appreciate the way they had made the delicate bridge with the dark chocolate. ambience was quiet and peaceful. a cool place to hang out with friends but really expensive. do make a visit only if you could afford as the taxes are too high.

häagen daas is just the fame for its foreign brand . for me it was over hyped and over priced.

location & parking: positive. the nungambakkam outlet located on khader nawaz khan road is easy to spot. they have their valet parking so parking queries shouldn’t worry you.

ambience: good. neat and elegant. the lighting, aroma of the ice-cream and waffle cones brings the feel good factor.

taste & variety: good. they have ample ice-cream varieties and desserts that mesmerizes our vision and fills our mind with sweet delights. after dreaming about the belgium waffle dream that was my default order and i also went for one scoop of each, blueberries & cream and summer berries & cream ice-cream with strawberry couli and roasted almond nuts. the belgium dream no-way looked similar to the picture on menu-card with presentation; a distorted plating that didn’t feel appealing.tastewas decent; waffles were good but nothing worth craving for more. the berry ice-creams were good. thetastedefinitely seemed to impress less for the hype. though a prominent brand, i have found and enjoyed desserts at other ice-cream parlours of chennai so this place wouldn’t be my first pick.

quality & quantity: ok. for the price they charge that portion size seemed like a robbery; totally unbearable was the only feeling i was experiencing while eating the ice-cream. the quality and aroma of the waffle or the wafers or the ice-cream texture was perfect. and the presentation was a disappointment.

service: good. no major complaints; but they are definitely slow right from handing over the menu-card till getting the bill and yeah, they should move faster.

pricing: negative. though i know about the export charges, brand, quality and more; i still can’t get over the fact of paying rs. 1200 inr. neither thetastewas overwhelming.

haagen dazs! it’s just the craze for prominent foreign brand which dragged me here and their attractive pictures. give it a try if you could afford.for me, it seemed over-hyped and over-priced.

i a big fan haagen dazs .. first time i tried their ice cream in singapore i loved it ... after couple of months when pass through nungambakkam i a saw their outlet on the same weekend plan to visit .. good varieties and excellenttaste...but bit over priced.. for a good stuff price shouldn't be matter as n when i visit chennai i do visit one of their outlets

this was one of the most awesome ice-cream experiences in my life! saturday afternoon, after watching the movie- deadpool at ags t.nagar, i forced my cousin brother to accompany me to haagen dazs as i have been dying totastetheir icecreams for a long time. although he wasn't in a mood for ice-cream, due to my continuous pestering he finally agreed. reached the mecca of foodies- knk road, within 5mins. located in a complex along with several other showrooms, they have valet parking for cars and ample amount of parking space for bikes as well. that solves the parking tension.

the ambience is decent and appealing to the eyes. place is well maintained and clean, just as one expects in a posh ice-cream parlour. the seatings are very comfortable. service was really good and professional. one con according to me, was that the waiter who waited us was continuously standing near us after handing the menu as if he was in a hurry. although he didn't open his mouth and say anything, i felt like i was being forced to order something soon. i felt like he could have left us alone for atleast 2-3mins after handing the menu for us to speak freely and decide by taking our own time. after reading the whole menu book, we finally decided to order one brooklyn bridge. as i've read in some of the zomato reviews previously in which people state that the quantity is humongous, i was clever enough to order just one for the two of us. and guess what......the quantity was humongous as expected :)

coming to the ice-cream, i can give 5/5 for the presentation. it was so attractive, that we were just sitting and gazing at the ice-cream for nearly five minutes without even touching it!! my brother who was so reluctant in coming here at the beginning, started drooling once he saw the ice-cream :d finally after much hesitation, we removed the chocolate bars at the side and started eating it. with each and every bite, i started transcending to the heavens! never have i tasted such thick-and-soft-at-the-same-time ice-creams. its thick when you scoop it, but just melts as soon as it reaches the mouth. there was one scoop of vanilla, one scoop of chocolate in the middle and finally one scoop of strawberry that actually had strawberry pieces in it! i mean, how often do u get chunks of strawberries in your strawberry ice-cream!! this is the first time i've had strawberry chunks in a strawberry ice-cream. the second layer is a very thin layer of whipped cream and the last layer is super thick ice-cream which looks like cake. it took us more than 45mins for us to finish the whole thing. even though it was a little too sweet for my brother, i found it perfectly perfect in every way i could imagine. can't find anymore words to appreciate the taste!

finally, the bill (which took me to heaven as well :p) was rs.1033. rs. 795 (price of the ice-cream) + rs. 238 (service charge+service tax+vat). i knew the prices before coming but didn't expect the extra charges would be around 30% of the price of the ice-cream. i wouldn't call it a tad expensive, it's extreeeemly expensive! for middle class people like me, i would say this place is only for special occasions. but this place is a must-try for foodies, especially for ice-cream lovers! even though the prices are sky high, this place is worth visiting once in a while. planning to visit the branch in phoenix mall, velachery soon, but definitely only on some special occasion :)

weekday evening catchup meet with a friend. and to tell, the welcome into the parlor was lovely. we were directed to our seats and there came the usher with the cards. a bit expensive when compared to the popular chain of ice cream parlor in town, but at the firsttasteof ice cream we were like 'wow!'. the best ever thing, they don't mind giving samples to you. so you can take time, interact with your tastebuds and make the best selections. they have almost 12 sets of ice creams which i believe would be shuffled daily. the environment was good and silent - and you would feel so good with the silence and the soft music playing at a corner. they serve you with free water - and they almost understand the time you raise your hands and ask for water. without even asking, they come to the table with water and fill your hearts out. 

coming to the payment, i felt the money was worth every single rupee. you would never feel that your pocket is burnt. happily recommending this lovely parlor. you would never regret :)

it was weekend, my wife and i wanted totastegood ice cream, we were in nugambakkam,  we went pass by haagen daz and so we stopped by this place to check it out, they have amazing interiors we wanted to try something simple as it was our first time and we wanted to take away.
we tried two different flavors belgian chocolate is a must try and a scoop of coffee. 
we just loved it ...we would be back for more  for sure, although this place is on the expensive side ...:-)

ambiance : this amazing dessert world is there right in the entrance of khader nawaz khan road, nungambakkam which houses lot other restaurants. ample parking space. good for family, couples and friends. you can stare at the captive pics in the menu and the display cozily to increase your appetite, while you actually wait for your order.

taste buddies: i am sure no body ll regret any order except the shakes and drinks. we started off with the mighty european fondue, which made us swim in the world of chocolate. yourtastebuds ll crave for the chocolate dip especially when you feel the crepe pieces melt and descend to your tummy. macarons were cloyingly sweet. after fondue, we conquered the brooklyn bridge. the chocolate suspensions were ravened within seconds. great combination with the delicious ice creams. the mango sorbet was nothing but a high priced maaza.

conspectus : if you are looking to spend extra bucks ( i mean extraaaa) for premium imported desserts, haagen dazs is the place. it is tremendously expensive but yeah once in a life time, you can spend that for an exotic ice cream feast :)

haagen dazs is an international ice cream brand. they are very expensive as they only import ice creams. so i always wanted to try this legendary ice cream brand. finally we made it. we were the only customers to them; it was 12:15am. yea while all the shops were closed in knk, nungambakkam. haagen dazs was alone open. so we quickly parked the car and went in.

we had a scoop of choco midnight cookie ice cream with cone chip as topping and real belgium hot chocolate. the one scoop was medium sized and not very small. it was bigger than what i expected and the cone chips can be named as sides instead of toppings. one the other hand the hot chocolate was served along with choco fudge. there was cream on top of it. the hot chocolate was good and easily one of the best hot chocolates i have had in the 20years. i had to order choco midnight cookie flavor in ice cream because all the others were done. this didn’ttastebad. but i wanted to try the belgium chocolate. on my next visit i will be trying it along with the platter. people talk great about their platters.

ambience, since the restaurant was free it was all ours. we could sit anywhere as we lived. the decoration part is done well and the ambience is too cool. the lighting gives a royal look for the ice cream parlour. the sofas and the cushioned chairs give a comfortable seating. there is the wall poster of bradley cooper who is the brand ambassador of haagen dazs. also there is a tv which runs their ad in repeat mode.

cost, expensive is the only word i can use. the taxes they put for the ice cream. they say its 175 per scoop but it ends up at 240 per scoop. also the hot chocolate is 395 without tax. they put 20% tax on the whole. this makes them very expensive. this also makes haagen dazs to be visited only one special occasion.

service, they take care of their customers so well. it’s 12+am still they do good service not like other places where in a hurry they push something to their customers. that’s something good about their service.

parking, there is enough parking for cars and bikes in the front space.

my rating would be 4/5. (mainly because of the price they drop down.)
