haagen dazs

i ordered a cake for my son's second birthday from haagendazs. the cake looked extremely impressive on their menu and thinking that it would be asgoodin reality, i placed the order. the cake which was delivered to me was nowhere near the same quality in terms of appearance. it looked amateurish and was certainly not worth the money i paid (₹2300 for a 990 gm cake). once i complained they did replace it with a better looking cake but it still cannot compare to the cakes they claim to be selling. having said this, the cake tasted good, but looked very unimpressive and it was quite embarrassing to serve it to our guests. will never order a cake from haagen dazs again. overpriced and poor quality.

this icecream.. is worth every single cent, my taste buds were  mwaahhh.. i liked it...  it was late night and agoodpacking done... loved it

ambiance: two words. comfortably posh.
food: the only place i would pay how much ever it takes because i know from where my cocoa and my raisin toppings are flown in from! this very fact makes it more appealing and makes me feel special because of the importance they place in being quality perfectionists. haagen dazs can find that perfect balance between sweetness and an immense making-my-eyes-flutter sweetness even the world's best cook, my dearest mother, cannot attain in her dessert delicacies.

evenings have always been my fav n comfortable time of the day to go out in search ofgoodcafes or ice cream outlets. n today was no exception. as soon as i got out of a sickeningly long (4 freaking hrs!) meeting, i rang up vaishnavi rao asking her to get out of her office right away without even a place in my mind. at the same time another friend called up for a coffee. but as the place he had in mind was on the other end of city from vaishu's place, we made a quick decision to treat ourselves with ice cream. the options that came to my mind were two n haagen dazs won the delightful battle :)
the less than 5mins drive from my office seemed to take forever due to heavy traffic but of course häagen dazs is definitely worth it.
they have huge space for parking so no worries on that part.

we had the visual treat before we could satisfy our insatiable ice cream needs!
huge pictures of delicious ice creams n bradley cooper adorned the walls. the intricate designs on the glass partitons were beautiful. their ad was being played on the tvs. the place is quite big, tables n seatings pretty cozy.
the place was empty except for a table occupied by a couple.
as vaish n ram started browsing through their album like menu n placed their orders in a jiffy, i pestered our kind waitress with loads of questions. as i wasn't satisfied with the options, left the table to look at the display freezers. the desserts looked inviting. but i was disappointed with their very limited options of ice cream flavours.
almost same flavours filled the freezers on both sides n few trays were sealed :( after looking at the options many times as though new one would pop up magically :p i lost my patience as they kept suggesting me two flavours in particular, macadamia n vanilla even though i informed them that i dislike the latter n not a big fan of the former! i went to our table asking the waitress to suprise me.
vaish had ordered belgian choc n vanilla scoops with choc syrup- b.choc was awesome n vanilla was, well vanilla. the syrup truned out to be amazing so we used it as a topping for all our ice creams.
ram had cup (forgot the name) of strawberry n summer berry scoops with fresh cream n cookies. he loved the summer berries so much that he ordered one more scoop of that.

mine was a glass which had raspberry sorbet(lovely for me n too tangy for the others), mango(bland) and again fresh cream n cookies. it was a bit irritating cos both our glassware had huge amout of cookies which we struggled to finish. but the flavours were really rich n authentic :)

the guy who was behind the counter came to our table while we were about to leave enquiring about how i liked the flavours he had chosen for me n also informed again that he couldn't offer much as the flavours they had were too limited.
we got to know that they are expecting 2 or 3 more flavours by next week n were promised that we will enjoy them more :)
when it comes to pricing, they are a bit on the higher end which may be accepted considering the quality of flavours. but i am not sure about their biiling though. service charge had been entered with the list of items and vat n service tax were loaded on the total. so am confused a little with that norm :/

one of the best ice creams i've had.goodtexture, right amount of sweetness in delightful flavors. pricing needs to be done better, or the quantity should be increased. great ambience to enjoy great ice cream.

a review for häagen dazs has always been over due...but today i decided i'm gonna do it anyway..
the ambiance is simply elite to start of with,considering its located in the posh side of chennai. if it's a dine in,you can order at ur table and pay before you leave.
the menu card is agoodone with illustrations of the ice creams..thus giving you an idea of what your in for. yu have a variety of toppings n add on to choose from.
the best seller n my most favourite is the "belgian waffle dream". it's pure goodness in every spoon. it basically comprises of a scoop of praline ice cream and a scoop of dulce de leche ice cream,along with almond peaks n freshly baked waffles, topped with caramel sauce. overall it feels like ur having an orgasm in ur mouth.😜😍👍🏻
i also like the strawberry cheesecake n cream n blueberry flavors.
the service is quick. but again the ice creams are priced at an extravagant rate!!
say if an ice cream sundae is priced at 500₹, including the tax your bill would come up to700₹.
but this place is a definite must try i would say..

rating it 4.5 n not 5 because of the high price.

it's my second visit here ,though not a big fan of the creations as the icecream turns too sweet (added syrups and toppings) but ordered summertime cone and dark chocolate bom. these creations weregoodbut better when u have company of 3-4 person otherwise have the great range of exotic icecream flavors.

it is priced at rs. 2392.00 (including taxes and service charges) which we feel is slightly overpriced compared to other places in chennai and also in consideration to premium branding prices.

it serves 3-4 people. we were happy with the service until we found out over google reviews, pictures and ads that we were supposed to be served with 3 flavours of macarons with a better variety of fruits whereas we were served with only 2 macarons which was quite a let down.

häagen dazs at nungambakkam can be agoodplace to visit for your post dinner dessert cravings with a short drive. nice ambience for your family and friends to sit and chat which also happens to be at quite an instagrammable location.

loved the taste was sooo uniqe and rich and creamy what not loved it to every bits taste so good... they are so many ice creams i have tried but none is even near to this .this is thatgoodlovely yummy

the ice cream stole our hearts because it looked sogoodand tempting deep into raspberry flavour .it melted into the mouth and a complete worth purchasing it waiting to try next flavourgoodexperience

the ice cream i recently ordered was sogood. it melted in mouth within seconds . so moist so rich in flavour. i tried this flavor for the first time and it's worth ordering again and again.they have beautiful flavour . it's summer n i'm going to try mango sorbet soon

haagen dazs. you hear the name and you feel posh instantly xd

while their dishes are definitely on the high side, they're definitely the epitome of amazing dessert.
luckily, zomato gold is there to save the day!

my friend and i ordered the chocolate explosion and the dark chocolate bomb.
the dark chocolate bomb in particular blew me away (pun intended :p)
it has 8 mini-scoops of ice cream inside it!
it's simply surreal and it's a must try here.

went here for dessert after dinner. tryed out their chocolate explosion . though the concept wasgoodit wasn't tasty. their belgian waffle was awesome and gold membership made it worth the money

ambience isgoodand that too in knk is having some impact but the personally i feel prize is too high when compare to other ice cream shops. i forgot the ice cream name which we ordered.

service ppl said like it's enough for 2 ppl and he suggested to go for it bcos it will contain 3 scoop and a brownie in it.

scoop is very small and i feel like it's very expensive and it's not like a mouth watering taste to feel so!!!

the place was awesome with you're loved ones best ice-cream i have ever tasted in chennai the ambience wasgoodbut not up to the level of was agoodexperience
